We booked a Sat lunchtime buffet menu for a group of 30 girls on a "non-hen do" and the team at York could not do enough for us! The food was fabulous and plentiful and everything was exactly as we wanted it. We ordered from the buffet menu and mixed in a few trios of fries and the amazing prawns wow it was superb - I did thank the Chef and kitchen team. It was super value and the team really looked after us all. We had a reserved area ready for us when we arrived and the whole experience was superb and everyone really enjoyed their food and drinks. The place was busy with a nice friendly vibe and it was race day so town was busy too. We stayed for a 2 hour slot which was superb. Thank you to Debs, the events Manager who went above and beyond our expectations to deliver a "tip top" day out... I would not hesitate to recommend all bar one to anyone! All of the Staff were lovely

Breakfast was nice however the avocado and feta was a small portion - maybe 2 pieces of bread would have been better. The bread on the sausage sandwich was burnt too. And it’s disappointing that there’s no hash browns with the breakfast!!

One day visit in York. Random bar chosen for our lunch and I was happy with my choice. I totally recommend it to people who like real food . 6 out of 5 stars. Keep it clean all bar one, you're doing great 👍. Next visit I know exactly where I am serving my food.

Meeting friends from Canada and Australia for the first time and both my wife and I dine at all bar one Leeds and Harrogate often, we had lunch the week before at leeds greek street all bar one and though my wife paid at the till I wasn’t aware that your policy for not taking orders at the table which find is a disservice and created a bigger problem at York. Had I have know when I booked York which I did sometime ago I would have chosen elsewhere that did have order at the table.

First time at All bar one and very happy with the experience, the food was great, the staff very friendly and smiling. Definitely 💯 I will come back.

I took my mum to her first bottomless brunch here, and when we arrived it seemed extremely busy and we were worried this would Impact our time at brunch. However this was not the case at all, as our lovely server Stui was extremely attentive and looked after us really well. We both ordered the enchiladas and really enjoyed them. Think it’s safe to say it won’t be our last brunch!

Nice food and service but cold inside the sort of place you went to sit when it's just too hot outside. An OK price three meals with drinks just over £40.

Came in for a date night. STUNNING venue, the decor is gorgeous, and the place was spotless despite it being very busy, kudos to all the staff for keeping on top of things so well. I have to say though, whilst all the staff were lovely, Leah went above and beyond for us. She talked us through the menu, took the time to ask us about our preferences and helped us choose (DELICIOUS) cocktails. You can tell she genuinely cares about her customers, nothing was too much trouble. She’s a credit to the team, and we will DEFINITELY be returning. Thanks so much Leah!

Firstly they forgot one of our drinks. Then my order was wrong after a 20 min wait so then had to wait again. Food was not very nice, burnt bread unappetising. Would not return!

Visiting York for the weekend with the missus and called in this place for a couple of drinks and a bite to eat. Cocktails were so good im actually concentrating to write this properly. 🤣🤣🤣 Food was excellent my wife is a vegetarian so sometimes difficult to find a menu to suit us both. Service was as good as the food. Was served by a young man from Manchester. Kaiden, was both funny and friendly. Whole visit was thoroughly enjoyable. Well worth a visit whilst in the city.

Cocktail Masterclass class with Kaiden for a 40th birthday celebration, great event, not rushed, really friendly guy and really got us as a group! Loved it and would recommend the only place in York that would take us with a non alcoholic guest that wanted non alcoholic cocktails and they were equally amazing thank you! Great way to start out weekend!

Toilets absolutely stunning! And interior fab but service was extremely poor! And wouldn't ever recommend this place, other than fantastic toilet facilities!

On entering there were two ladies behind the bar area, they did not great us with a hello and frankly said you can find a table and sit where you want. So off we went to find a table, one of the ladies then came over and said we can order using the QR code. I decided to go up to the bar to order our lunch, again rude attitude by the same lady. She made no attempt to smile, no eye contact, asked what table number it was although she had literally just been to the table. (There were only 4 tables occupied) I went to find the table number where she then announced that she knew the number! As I ordered the lunch menu sandwich and a drink, 2x chicken quesadilla a lychee soda and raspberry soda she shrugged and said you mean it the house soda ? I pointed to the menu where again she didn’t lift her gaze. It took all my energy not to say anything as I refused to let her ruin our afternoon and I didn’t want to cause a scene. Her attitude was just as expected when we were leaving, no thank you, nothing. Honestly one of the worst services I have ever experienced and I now wish I had said something to her at the time. We are not tourists, we are locals and often go for drinks and lunch, it’s unfortunate that this server has ruined out relationship with All Bar One.

Went last night. Totally ignored on entering. Waiting for the 3 staff to finish conversation. We eventually got spoken to, showed our voucher we were asked if a table had been booked told yes. The place was nearly empty. We set to fondi g a table with no dirty pots on.. After sitting for half an hour watching the 3 staff still in conversation, decided to leave. On leaving they said thankyou. Do not waste your time or money on this place. I give no stars would pay the staff in washers.

The service was great and speedy, but not over bearing (as in rushing you to order). The food was absolutely fabulous and I really enjoyed my sticky chicken and fish and chips. Would I visit this particular All Bar One again in York, without a doubt.

This used to be very much a "go to" bar in York as its class was matched by value for money. However it has now become a very expensive and overpriced venue that offers poor value for money especially from their kitchen which is a reflection on All Bar One's current business model of profits before customer satisfaction. The food has dropped to baseline standard as opposed to what used to be good albeit pricey. The staff are hard working and efficient but the food from the kitchen, beverage prices and overall standards have slipped badly. All Bar One management must do better and get this franchise back to what it was or risk failure. Good luck 👍

Came for a visit two weeks ago Wasn't great. Our waiter made up for it though. She was quirky and kind and convinced me to buy the all bar one favourites board which was delicious. She was one of the best waiters I've ever been served by, and I've been served many times. She serves. Her name was adhu and she brought life to the establishment

After a long day sightseeing and shopping in a busy York I fancied a beer and my wife fancied a coffee, stumbled across All Bar One and as I'd had many a great evening in these establishments in London we thought we pop in. Upon entry we were asked whether we'd booked, I explained that we'd just like a beer and a coffee and the server said that she was sure they could cope with that and guided us to a table at the window. Within a minute of sitting down the same server came over and advised that there had been a problem and they could not serve us, they did not seem to be telling anyone else already there so I can only assume that they had second thoughts about serving us, felt very strange indeed. Left a very sour impression and I won't be rushing back to any All Bar One in the future! Very poor service !!

We regularly make this our breakfast stop when we visit York, the food is really good, although it always seems so quiet at brunch time! The toilets could do with a bit of a redo, and the portions are okaayy for the money, but overall it's a nice venue.

Very busy with a lot of hen do's/ girls' weekends away, but called in on an off chance and got a table straight away, we could order and pay via the QR code or at the bar, the lighting inside wasn't very good so we couldn't order by phone so had to order at the bar. Once ordered to say they were really busy we didn't have to wait long for our food which came out hot, the young lady serving us was very pleasant and asked if we needed anything else and if so to let her know. The food was lovely, and I can't really fault the place or service we received.

Great drinks, atmosphere and decor. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The food portions could have been larger. That’s all I would change.

I had booked a reservation for 7pm for dinner, when I arrived I was greeted by a slugish bar man who was stood on his phone. When entering I seen that it was quiet but for a Wednesday night that can be understandable. We were then told “You can sit wherever” buy the bar man and he then walked away. We took a seat near the window and looked at the menus, whilst sitting talking we could hardly hear each other over the loud aggressive music playing in the background. After ordering a drink at the bar, we looked at the menu. The Chefs and management staff then came through to the restaurant area and sat on some tables. This seemed rather unprofessional to me. I thought the atmosphere may liven up but after 30 minutes their were two tables in the place, including us. Therefore we decided to go somewhere else for dinner and throughly enjoyed our night. I would not return to this All bar one location but i hope i would have a better experience elsewhere!

It is always so relaxing. We often have lunch here whilst shopping in York.

The worst place in york the staff was ignorant most of the beers was off i wouldn't recommend it to anyone the only good thing was the friendliness of the door staff

Cocktail was lovely but we planned on eating, we tried ordering tapas but 3 out of the 5 dishes we chose were not available so we asked for the chicken skewers which were unavailable so decided on steak which was also unavailable. We left very disappointed and hungry. This was supposed to be a lovely treat to celebrate our anniversary

Went in for a couple of drinks and was met with a nasty smell as you walk in. First two chioces of drinks were not available. Been a while since last went there and might be a while before I go again, shame as it used to be good.

Lovely ambience. The most amazing thing about this place is their staff. Especially Harry is absolutely wonderful - always smiling, ready to chat and listen to clients' wishes. The management should really recognise this employee! Thank you Harry for making our ladies' nights always so enjoyable!

Was Ok but we must have gone at a bad time for them. No Draught beer and some items off the menu due to lack of ingredients. Is probably good under normal circumstances.

Food was lovely. No beers or larger as no gas, which for a bar, was very disappointing. Toilets not nice.

We came for a meal today, on a very QUIET Sunday. The service was absolutely terrible. We barley existed to your waitresses, our mains came before our starters and all the surrounding tables were left dirty for a hour long visit. They were turning everyone away even though I can count roughly 5 tables sat through our stay. Really need training on service. Appalling

The food was fine but the service was shocking. The waiters don't take the orders so there is no excuse for all the tables being dirty and a ridiculously long wait for drinks. We weren't offered sauces salt viniger ect with the food. Mains came out before the starters and I'm pretty sure they were just put under the hot plate while we were eating. Non of the wait staff seemed to want to be there or care.

Large restaurant in the shopping district... Great cocktails and the food was lovely!!! One negative was that it was flooded with at least 5 Hen parties at the same time on Saturday afternoon!!! It may be best to visit on a week day.

We did the bottomless brunch here. Highlights were the service from Stui and the drinks. The food was absolutely fine but probably could be a bit better. Felt like it was decent value.

Had a lovely meal here tonight. 4 of us out for a birthday meal. Starters excellent,2x steaks cooked to perfection and the paella full of seafood and very tasty. 1xBurger also very tasty. The service was excellent. Very reasonably priced especially with drinks as well. Will be back.

Tried to order food but you can't unless you are booked in for food (we were at a table) because the kitchen "might not have ordered enough". This place needs to get a grip! - When we tried to order a potion of chips it wasn't that busy. Don't worry my business went elsewhere.

Had an amazing team meal here. Catered for 24 of us fantasticly well. Food was delicious, hot and came out fast. Service was impeccable and cocktails were gorgeous! Thank you Ula and Team! ❤️

A really poor experience. The food was not very nice. The real problem was that the disabled toilet and baby change facility was disgusting. Toilet overflowing and a dreadful stench. Reported it to staff and they simply closed it. Didn't offer any other facility for baby change. Will not be returning here.

Adhu and Zee were amazing! They were both very attentive to my father and I, as it was his first time at an All Bar One. The ambience was lovely, the employees seemed to genuinely enjoy working there and working alongside each other, and I feel that the drinks were worth their price. Will definitely be returning!

Bloody expensive, nothing special

We came as a party of 7 for bottomless brunch and couldn’t have had better service and a better experience. Our waitress Adhu was AMAZING, she was attentive, always checked back to see if we needed anything/ how everything was. She really made our experience top class and we will definitely return for bottomless brunch again! Thank you to everyone, especially Adhu for your incredible customer service!

My friend and I came to York for a girly weekend and stopped for food at All Bar One. We were lucky to get a table for 2 for food and drinks without booking and we're served by Adhu. She was attentive and provided excellent service to use throughout our visit. The food was delicious too! A lovely experience :)

Called in for Lunch, great food and friendly service.

On arrival service was great, it seemed that once our waitress left we were left to fend for ourselves. We were told the waitress would come back which she didn’t so we went to the bar which we didn’t mind just wanted telling that. After a few drinks, we were told that we was unable to order certain things on the menu which was an inconvenience. Would only return if desperate. Shame because the cocktails we had were great.

Visited for lunch and not disappointed. Nice welcoming by all staff and nice atmosphere. Drinks selection looked good so will definitely come again for both food and drink.

The staff were extremely polite and welcoming. Cocktails and other drinks were great! and the food was delicious and was exactly what we expected from such a premium bar. The overall atmosphere was warm and comfortable so I would definitely recommend to anyone for any occasion! :)

Had a lovely meal out yesterday with great service from our waitress Molly. I had the chicken quesadilla which was delicious, will definitely be back.

Four of us had gorgeous sharers. The prawns especially were delightful, but no more so than Zee, our wonderful member of staff who tended our every need. We will be back

Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff.

A group of 8 of us ate here today. Unanimous non tip. Food took over an hour and was cold on serving. One dish was not as described by waitress (chips and salad became rice) and 4/10. No apologies or customer service except aggressive response to our comments. Will not be going back.

Had a slight issue with a drink but the staff were incredibly helpful and remade the drink free of charge, 100% recommend all bar one are very accommodating!

Zee was a fantastic server, making sure we had everything we needed before we even needed it! The atmosphere was lovely, drinks and food were super tasty and I’d definitely come again

What an awful example of the chain! We popped in for a drink on a Monday afternoon and while not very busy, it appeared to be in a complete sense of disarray. Finding a table which wasn’t full of empty glasses or plates was difficult and nothing appeared to be getting cleaned. It took quite a while to get served at the bar, with the offer of brining the cocktail to the table. After fifteen minutes it was clear the cocktail wasn’t coming, so I chased, only to have to do the same ten minutes later too. Occasionally a member of staff would turn up at a table to remove some glasses, but leave the plates, chairs were all over the place, menus were sticky and left over food underneath tables still present. The toilets are upstairs and didn’t provide any respite from the mess, with graffiti on the walls and everything needing a really good clean. Certainly not somewhere I’ll be returning and with so many other options in the immediate vicinity I cannot recommend others do either.

I had the vegan breakfast. It was amazing. It had avocado, sausages, mushroom, tomatoes, scrambled tofu and a spicey bean dish. It was very impressive. Looked much nicer than what my two meat eaters chose:)

My friend and I went for a lunch treat, ordered our food at the bar, the waitress did say there's a half hour wait for food. (This was fine) 1 hour later we enquired where our food was, only to be informed that there has been a miscommunication between the bar and the kitchen and one of our dishes wasn't available, so we said we'll have to of what my friend had ordered, it was with us within 10 minutes, which makes you wonder if the order even went in.. there was no offer of even so much as a coffee for the wait.. so don't think we will be revisiting.

Great bar, lovely staff, food looked good too!

Very boisterous crowd, only 30% full, hard to converse. 36$usd for 2 cocktails, one Manhatten was too sweet. Took about 15 mins from seating to getting the drink despite using QR to order. Not bad, but not going back.
