The best restaurants serving Default food in Guildhall York Yorkshire and The Humber

Food is good quality however the portion size is very small, prices are high for what you get. Service was quite good but for value for money I wouldn't recommend.

Absolutely horrendous portions were really bad . Loads of peas but not enough chicken and chips it is childs portions for the price

Al visitar a familiares / amigos preferimos este otro Nando's en York. El servicio es mejor. La comida es buena y hay un gran ambiente. Buen lugar para parar para un almuerzo rápido y fácil.

Similar to a previous reviewer, I thought the place was a bit disorganised. We arrived after 12 and ordered the soup. Took a while for someone to take our order, despite there only being only 6 other customers in the place at that point, and at least four waiting staff. Sat for another 20 mins with no soup coming and very little coming out to the tables to other diners. I measn, how long does it take to ladle out two soups, which I presume has been made in advance? In the end I went to the cashdesk and asked had they forgotten. Within 2 mins the soup arrived with apologies. The soup was delicious but as the cafe started filling up with lots of other customers (and very little activity from the staff) we decided to forego the dessert. Either there is only one poor person in the kitchen trying to cater for everyone, or the staff need better training. Sorry, but we won't be going back.

Popped in for a bite before work and noticed that it was filled with dirty tables which made me want to take away as i went to get my tuna sandwich i noticed a pair of scissors just lying there as i gave it to the guy working he looked completely clueless, once my food was cooked they picked it up with their hands!! and just shoved it in the packaging so when it came to eating it, most of the tuna and cheese was stuck to the top and it was not enjoyable. I wish I went back to complain and get my money back but I just didn't have time by then

La comida era preciosa, el personal era encantador, pero faltaban algunas cosas... si miras la foto, eso es lo que te dan cuando pides un chocolate caliente con crema y malvaviscos. ¡Descubre lo que falta! Como deshabilité no es fácil volver atrás para quejarme, y significaría dejar algunas cosas en mi mesa, que no quería hacer, no pude hacer nada al respecto en ese momento.

Comida bien (sándwiches), pero 15 minutos de espera para acompañar el café no es bueno Basta. Mucho personal, ¿dónde está el atasco?

Parada rápida en Greggs en York. Tenía un rollo de salchicha, y estaba fresco y sabroso como siempre. El personal era amable, y el servicio era rápido. Perfecto para un bocado rápido en el camino!

I waited at the door for over 5 minutes. Several staff saw me but didn't greet me or show me to a table so I went elsewhere. I was disgusted.

Friendly landlady beer was nothing special. Gone down hill since last visit. Beer garden unkept and in poor shape. Hopefully in will improve was great pre covid busy clean and vibrant. It does have new managers now.

I always buy the southern fried wrap. But was so shocked & disappointed with what i received that day. Service was not as good as usual either

Sadly now run by a chain and set of accountants dictate m the menu rather than a chef. Not sure if it’s lost mmm renamed as far badger now or still lamb and lion. Food and service ok but portions sparingly measured

This place has hugely gone downhill over the past few years. The cafe has absolutely no atmosphere - no Christmas decorations, no music and no soul. Staff are not welcoming or friendly. No one told us to order at the counter so we sat for 20 mins waiting to be served. We ordered afternoon tea for two and it was very very average - thankfully we had a voucher, otherwise I would have been fuming to pay £37!! I ordered a kids toastie and asked for a few crisps with it (willing to pay) but was told this is not possible, despite adult toasties coming with crisps. The toilet was absolutely disgusting and had no soap - I mentioned this to the waiter and he said "yeah I know".

La evaluación general es un reflejo de la experiencia completa, sin embargo, la alegría de mi nieto tomando comida del transportador fue un 5 *. Parece inútil revisar ya que se cierra pronto según la prensa local, explicando muchos de los negativos. No excusa el ambiente sucio. Seamos amables, el personal era poco numeroso y distante, por lo que supongo que sin reclutamiento menos personas esperaban hacer más trabajo, lo que explica la lentitud del servicio. No, hay una cocina abierta y vimos al personal no hacer nada o enviar mensajes de texto cuando llegaron los cheques. Era un ambiente horrible, nunca había comido Yo! antes y dudo que regresaría ahora a pesar del cierre. Buena suerte al personal en conseguir nuevos trabajos

Came here for cocktails but thought they were very average for the price I paid not many tables inside more outside. Friendly staff.
