The best restaurants serving Default food in Ross-on-Wye West Herefordshire, County of West Midlands

17 of us ate here for Sunday lunch. We were seated upstairs in The Pavilion and had pre-ordered our food as we were a large group. The restaurant is beautiful, spacious, and stylish which made for a lovely atmosphere. There was a mix up with the numbers, but this was swiftly sorted out by a lady who I assume was the manager. She was so apologetic and sorted everything out straight away without us having made any fuss - excellent customer service, and it’s a shame it’s such a rarity elsewhere. The food was fantastic - beautifully cooked, really tasty, and the portions were very generous. I had the roast beef and the beef was cooked perfectly and there was so much of it! We also had desserts - these were so beautifully presented and again, so tasty and such generous portions. I had the sticky toffee pudding which was probably the best one I’ve ever had. The ice cream on the dessert was also a decent size which I am always moaning about elsewhere when it’s usually a skimpy portion! Sadly I don’t live nearby, otherwise it would be a regular choice, but I hope to be back and would definitely recommend it for Sunday lunch!

Yet again, didn’t disappoint. Great service, great food, comfortable warm chilled vibe. The food is always home cooked and fresh. I had the proper pie and it was amazing. Thanks again for another great visit.

Traditional pub. We went there for the live music on a Saturday night. They don't serve food. The drinks are reasonably priced. Had a good night there

The staff here are really friendly and welcoming we only came for an evening meal, and although mine was very nice (Camembert) some other family members were not as impressed. The lasagne was very bland and not much meat in it. That being said the portion sizes were generous. And the setting was beautiful.

Lovely traditional pub. The landlord was friendly and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Our dogs were welcome inside the pub and there’s also a large secure beer garden out the back. We enjoyed our visit and of course the cask ale we popped in for. Will definitely be back.

Delicious, quick and very kind staff. Good prices (Cash only). Would definitely recommend them.

We travel 30-45 minutes every other week for this place, we love it! Their garlic mayo, and lamb dinner meat are amazing, and their pizzas are the best I’ve had from a kebab shop.The staff are lovely, there has been a couple of times when our order hasn’t been 100% what we asked for, but they have always happily rectified it. Really recommend trying out this place.

Restaurant was empty, shown to the most uncomfortable table in the room. No problem moving when I asked for an alternative table, however, this has happened on other visits. The table is in a narrow space that is in constant use by staff and other customers. Food good . We use the restaurant frequently. Staff pleasant, cheerful and polite but further training is much needed. Gave up on being able to order dessert or coffee as no sign of staff. We just paid the bill when one appeared. Their loss as I then went to a local coffee house for dessert and coffee. This is not the fault of the waiting staff but of the supervisor or manager as this is a reoccurring issue

Went to return here yesterday 26th Sept but found it had closed for good. Was a really nice place with good atmosphere So sorry
