We've been a few times for a drink since the pub re-opened this year. Fantastic service and a lovely atmosphere. We really hope the new owners have a successful summer and continue to thrive! We'll be back very soon!

Great local pub but never eaten there

I don’t know what’s happened to this place but they are not serving food anymore so I suggest changing the advert and rather not mislead potential customers…

Felt let down , beer overpriced, and if you drink Guinness u ķnow a good pint it was 7/10 food was OK service was confused.

We visited lunchtime, menu was small bit a good selection. Staff very friendly. Food was very good and good size portions.

Food very good, beer garden ok, only fly in the ointment is opening hours!

Excellent bar staff so friendly Amended Very poor attitude less and less customers A friend of mine went for a snack about 10 days ago. She said the attitude by a lady was dreadful

Service was mid lady doesn’t like you playing darts unless you buy something service meh atmosphere was nice

Awesome food and atmosphere and fantastic waiting staff. Went there with a large group for a birthday celebration and we were not disappointed. Will definitely go back if we are ever in the area again.

Me and my girlfriend booked a table tonight for a meal, was not disappointed..food was amazing and great portion sizes and staff were excellent..was also nice to see it busy as its recently been taken over by new owners..keep up the great work peeps!

We decided to go and have some food here as its just recently re opened after being refurbished. The Staff are very friendly and welcoming, the food is definitely worth going for, the Pork belly bites were yummy and the prawns were gorgeous,. Go give them a try, support local

Setting up darts and having a little test with them 3 minutes 35 second In bar keeper manager darkish hair came round confronted rudely and said and I quote “hey guys you know you can’t just come in here to play darts” yet we’ve been there before same person and every time we go there I buy half a pint of Guinness and something for my partner

Lovely sports pub with friendly staff and plenty of room... Dog friendly.

Oh dear. Reading about potential customers having bookings cancelled because the Barman (?) Had his Friends in does not sit well. Will share my views with followers around East Bristol, watch this vast space. Ferris.

Went for an Indian out the back of pub,food was very good. Quick service and very polite staff. Little .ore ambience would be nice dinner lighting, candles some soft furnishings table cloths napkins ECT would give this restrant a 5 star rating.

We booked 3 weeks in advance for a Saturday night. The barman had given our table away to a group that he knew the day before. We rang ahead just to double check they do food, and were told, only when we asked, that they had had to cancel our booking as they hadn't planned for it. We warned a group next to us at the campsite in case they had booked the same pub, they laughed and said they knew the barman and he had made space for them. It's a shame it may be a good pub, but unfortunately they never allowed us a chance to discover the truth. 0/10 wouldn't dine again.

Lovely little pub. Stopped for a quick pint on a little journey. Lovely spacious pub with lots of sports on the TV's and memorabelia so great for a sports night out or a time with the group. Would say it's quite quiet when they open so would be suitable for a work liquid lunch if you have enough time and there's parking nearby but is in walking distance of the high street. Overall was ok. They ran out of in the receipt maker but other than that it was a very pleasant journey and will be coming back!

Great beers and great place helpfull barstaff

Pretty clean and tidy place. More of a sports bar with a strong support for Chelsea from what I could see. Staff pleasant and helpful but the only draught beer on sale was Doombar which was well passed its prime. Probably not return as there are plenty of other pubs in the area with good pints.

The good was lovely. Beef was do tender.

A stellar performance from the staff as to why pubs fail. It's a youth club and toilet paper, bring your own apparently, also soap and a cleaner. Grungy

Old local in my old home town 💜 currently being run very well by a great Jordie fella. Keep up the superb ideas and atmosphere!

Polite and efficient service from knowledgeable bar staff. Bit of a limited range of real ales , I had Pedigree, but prices very acceptable.

Best local pub for sports television, socialising, great events for all ages, fantastic owners and legends serving behind the bar.

No longer serving food due to a lack of interest in carvery, according to the owner. But good enough pub for a quiet drink watching large tv or playing snooker.

Loads of screens to.watch the rugby

Pub itself OK but the gents toilets were awful, you had to paddle through god knows what amd the tissue paper was everywhere hand dryer not working, kitchen towel to dry but also soaked, whilst I accept there had be a lot of people in earlier watching the rugby around 18:00, they were still the same at 23:30 when I left the private function I was attending.

Nice to have this pub back as an option to watch tbe rugby

Booked a table for 5.30pm only to find they were running out of food! Service and attitude of staff was poor ... tried to make out it was my problem they no food ! How unreasonable of me to expect a restaurant to have food ! In my opinion there are far better places to eat where they actually want the business and recognise that a restaurant without food dorssnt work

Our Sunday lunch was a disaster. We were booked for 2pm there was only a small amount of turkey left no other choice of meat. The vegetables were not cooked properly and had been sitting under heat lamps just drying up. There was hardly any gravy and the table with what sauces were left was dirty . The sign outside says food served all day when other people arrived they were told there wasn’t any left. This was a meal out for my 92 year old Mum who was not amused. To add to the chaos the two chefs then preceded to have a heated argument in the kitchen which we could all hear. I won’t be going there again and I would advise anyone I know not to bother .very disappointing. I

We had the sunday carvery. It was really good value for money £8 for carvery and a pudding.. highly reccomend the raspberry white choc cheesecake. Returning visit..not impressed. All the veg was hard and not cooked properly when we mentioned this to the waitress she just replied "yes the chef has been made aware of this" but no food was replaced or money refunded. Also when we came to order the dessert, it is no longer free, there is now charge of £2.50 but this was not mentioned at time of ordering. £1.80 for some ornage juice!!.

Nice place to chill and eat. Pub food at pub prices. Will come again

Went to the prince of wales last night for first time since it openen had 10oz gammon witch i had as hunters with cheese and mushrooms food was all good will go again also its 4 6 8 10 12 menu. Carvery on sunday.😊

Laid back atmosphere and friendly, cheery staff. Glad they are showing the football too!

I've stayed here twice,nice people very friendly and I would recommend this to anyone.All you have to do is spend some loot in their pub which is only fair as the parking is free.

Modernised pub, unfortunately no disabled toilets, very disappointing, otherwise a decent hostelry.

Incredibly cheap food (worryingly so). Not a gourmet outing at all, but if you want to feed and water a family of 4 for less than £20 then it's a winner. I find the place lacks personality and atmosphere, but for a cheap meal it's perfect

Much improved since it became part of the 2,4,6,8 pub. Food is good quality and excellent value. T bone steak for £8 - where else?
