Zam Zam’s has been our regular choice for a local Indian supper for many years! The food has a wonderful depth of flavour and quality. The service is really excellent and prices very competitive. We would highly recommend!

So disappointing, not even indian inspired flavours...I couldn't eat it. The chicken had a waxy taste and the curry awful. I had better ready meals than this!

Are you joking? Are you JOKING!!! This was the worst Indian I have ever had. Everything was bland, the chicken was dry, the butter chicken had coconut in? And was like a bitty soup with barely any chicken in. Everything was unseasoned, chips were soggy and unsalted. The best part was probably the salad and the popadoms. Apart from this, the man who delivered out food was lovely. However, I would rather be repeated punched in the face than eat this food ever again. If you are looking for authentic Indian food then don’t go here, a ready meal is probably better than this - sorry to say, but I don’t know how on earth so many people enjoy this? I would give the food 0 if I could.

Honestly I have tried various Indians back in Oxfordshire where I live & nothing comes close to Zam Zam! Please support them, they deserve your custom 😊

One of the worst Indian food I have had in UK. The Tandoori Prawns were stale, chicken tandoori was tasteless, biryani was like spicy rice and no background taste to it. And even the serving was not good, we asked for water and we get it after one hour after asking to many times.

Update Sept 2023 - Still the best curry place ever! Ask them about the naga chilli sauce and try some with your poppadoms. Game changing! --- The best curry house I've ever been to. Been going to Zam Zams for over 10 years, and still get excited. The most wonderful staff, owner and food. LOVE THIS PLACE!

On holiday in Ross-on-Wye, we fancied an Indian meal. Based on their good reviews, we chose Cafe Zam Zam. We weren't disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious, the service really friendly and efficient. As it was early in the week we were able to take advantage of their special fixed-price offer, which was really good value. We won't hesitate to go there again next time we're in the area.

We had a delicious set takeaway meal from here. Plenty of food for two with great dishes. They are cash only but there is a near by cash point.

A very pleasant meal in a local restaurant I had not visited before. Also a dish I had not tried before - delicious. Service was courteous and quick and the price was good value.

A group of chaps on a golfing trip went to Zam Zam for a curry and we were not dissapointed. Good range of curries etc and do not take any notice at the description at the start, the owners have an alcohol licence so you don't need to bring your own.

Very friendly with great curry at a reasonable price I have been visiting ZamZams with my wife for years and this is the best curry house in Ross on Wye We have never been disappointed

We've been coming to Zam Zams for many years. We ate in last night and the food is probably better than ever! The curries we had were flavoursome and fresh, and you could tell the chicken tikka had been freshly cooked and not that reheated taste and texture you can get in some places. The garlic naan was fresh and tasty and not stodgy! The saag paneer side dish tasted just how it should, with nice pieces of paneer in it. I think some people have been put off going since it's become licensed but they shouldn't be! The drinks are quality and very good value for money!

Visited Zam zams Saturday 21st January 2023 Meal was amazing cooked freshly, chicken was tender and delicious. Chef is from Birmingham, friendly staff and outstanding service.....5 stars We will be back!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. The owner and staff are so friendly and genuinely caring. The food is delicious with good portion sizes and excellent prices. Always busy with a great atmosphere and very warm welcome.

Omg a small but wonderful little gem in Ross on Wye. A very friendly helpful waiter / owner who was only too pleased to ask a few questions about what sort of curry you like and then recommend. I trusted his judgement and can honestly say best curry I have eaten for a long time. Portions good, lamb to die for and of course a couple of cobras made it a perfect night out. Great value for money too. I will be back!

What a great restaurant, service excellent , excellent food , they accommodated separate bills which made it easier for 20 peoples requirements. All in al would definitely go back and recommend. Have left menu at holiday home .

Always stop at Zam Zams after visiting family in Birmingham. The staff are fantastic, great service and so friendly. The food is amazing, curries are one of the best we have ever had. You get great advice when wanting a different curry to try. Looking forward to coming back next month 😀😀

Excellent service. They just got licensed and struggled a bit there... The onion bhaji was fresh, the vegetable samosa was just mash potato... The main was very good. They are only accepting cash, ATM two doors down so was easy to accommodate.

Ordered chicken Tika balti Bombay aloo and garlic Naan. 18 quid delivered. Unfortunately I got saag aloo which I hate. Also the Tika balti looked and tasted like plain chicken balti. So didn't eat that either. So dinner was Naan bread. Hungry and disappointed.

I think this will probably be the last time I go here for a takeout, we ordered several meals which were mostly ok! But the prawn korma was just yellow sugary water with a few floating prawns! When we ordered it would have been better if they’d have said they didn’t have korma instead of throwing this awful mush together.

They really do travel daily from and to Smethwick. Very tasty food of high quality with large portions. Extremely good value especially with the Mon-Wed offer. Couldn’t fault it.

First class service and staff and the food was excellent

I only had a mattar paneer and a couple of roti but they were delicious, the staff were excellent and the decor is modest and unpretentious. If I'm passing that way during opening hours I'm sure to pop in assuming I'm hungry. I love Indian cooking and I've been told many times that I'm incredibly fussy and hard to please. I like what I like. The only other places I eat are the vegetarian food studio in Cardiff and the Star Kahari who have restaurants in Slough and Reading. "Bon appetite" as they say in the french quarter of Bombay.

Another great meal, friendly courteous staff. Nothing was too much trouble. These lad's from Zam Zams travel to Ross nightly from Birmingham, and that's what you get the Birmingham balti! Well done your a credit to your restaurant.

Staff are very accommodating We went for the 4 course meal deal. Excellent value and the food was very tasty with a great variety within the menu. Definately no complaints only thanks to such a good local restaurant

We ate here last night and really enjoyed the whole experience: we had poppadoms and a chutney tray to start, Chicken Bhuna and Chicken Vindaloo with zeema rice and it was delicious. We took our own wine which was a bonus. The service and decor was lovely and friendly. Cannot fault this restaurant and we will definitely return next time we're in the area

We placed an order for 14 people to deliver to a house we had rented for the weekend. From our initial conversation with Mosh through to ordering our food and then delivery of our order it was fantastic. Very professional service, fantastic food arrived hot and just as we expected. I would highly recommend ZAM ZAM and the service Mosh provided, first class.

Came here tonight and was such a pleasant experience! The food was delicious, I really recommend the prawn dhansak. The service was friendly and the guys were a good laugh too. It's a real treat to find a place like this when you're traveling around a rural place, so I really recommend!

Best chicken Madras I have ever eaten and the price was really good too. Love the fact that you can take your own drinks. The only negative was that the service was slow after we had eaten. Tasteless meal. Watery. Hardly any meat in the meals. When I called to complain they said its standard to have 8 pieces of meat in the meal.

Terrible, was that tasteless I was worried we had covid!!!!! Chicken pathia tasted like water with veg and meat in. Wasn't offered any money off when we complained, just a discount next time. Well there won't be a next time! Gave them the benefit of the doubt after we waited 2 hrs for our meal to arrive once when we ate in.. But never again. Steer clear and go somewhere else.

As a family we booked a table here, we had to wait an extremely long time before our food arrived and when it did arrive all dishes tasted the same bland and over greasy, awful experience and a complete waste of money.

Move here a year ago and have had several takeaway meals delivered. Must say the meals we ordered are delicious, the service is excellent and the delivery guys are friendly. Would highly recommend this restaurant, can not wait to come out of lockdown and have a sit in meal.

Ordered New Years Eve, so expected a bit slower. We pre ordered before so we could get it for 6. They forgot a naan which wasn't that bad but then when my boyfriend served out his korma, it was watery, so watery he had to get paper towels and soak it up. Still it was basically inedible. My mums was the same and they had 2 different dishes. The poppadoms were soggy in places too.Very disappointing will try somewhere new next time!

Really disappointing take away - so bland . None of the dishes we ordered had any flavour, the tandoori chicken was dry and rubbery , the matter paneer had a tiny amount of melted cheese in which I doubt was actually paneer, the saag aloo was just boiled potatoes with a small handful of spinach, and the 'medium ' curry was anything but. Absolutely not worth the money . I've actually just read several reviews on Trip Advisor that you actually use CHEDDAR CHEESE instead of paneer. Seriously?

Why on earth would you serve cheddar cheese in a Paneer dish?? It's an insult to your customers. Bland, flavourless food, definitely not worth the money. Avoid .

If you’re looking for tinned vegetables (carrots) in your vegetable biryani, over priced plastic bottles of water for the table, terrible service and an inconsistent approach to government regulations around COVID, go to Zam Zam Cafe. If not, avoid this establishment!! They have a discount scheme running from Monday to Wednesday. We ordered as per the scheme/deal but didn’t order a starter so they charged us full price and told afterwards, ‘you didn’t order a starter’, even though that would have saved them money and we wouldn’t have consumed unwanted food. Simply put, a disgusting way to treat a customer! Lastly, the toilets were filthy. Two air fresheners stuffed into a hole in the floor near a waste pipe; never again!

Great curry! Staff are very nice and friendly. The food is delicious! My brother ordered the chicken korma and said “This is the best korma I’ve ever had!” Would definitely recommend, worth going to.

Unfortunately service is not what it once was and my food was lukewarm. As a birthday party of 5, only 4 meals were eaten. When the lukewarm meal was reported, the attitude of the staff was of total disinterest and they seemed offended. The remaining 4 meals were also barely warm enough but by this point we had waited so long for our mains that they were semi eaten. Drinks order never materialised. We had hoped that the recent rumours of a deterioration in food and service were wrong but it appears not. A great shame as this downturn is recent and we have previously had great food and service from “zam zams”

Short changed and greasy. Mango chutney was bright orange and tasted like orange juice. Other than the layer of grease the rogan josh was tasty.

Not had food from here in a while and remembered it being fantastic so ordered a takeaway as a treat and wish I'd not bothered. Soggy chips, burnt naan, crazy dry chicken and a watery bland curry. Disappointed.
