There is little I can add to the already excellent reviews given to Carriages. This is a restaurant team going the extra mile to supply the highest quality food and service. My wife and I visited for a special occasion in October. On arrival we were met by a doorman who checked our booking. A concierge then escorted us upstairs to the dining area. The whole experience was very slick and polished being similar to that provided by high end restaurants in the States. Our meal was superb, and whilst I had to return my perfectly cooked main course for being a little cold the team worked hard to compensate and ensure the rest of our evening was perfect. So much so that not only was our bill reduced, they also even drove us back to our hotel in their courtesy bus which provided my wife and I with our first ever journey in an all-electric vehicle. The location of Carriages is unique in being situated in an office complex, but it didn’t subtract from the aesthetics. It would be nice if in the future they could bring the restaurant into central Hereford as at present there is a complete dearth of any fine dining to be had. We wish the team at Carriages every success in the future.

Fantastic evening, Italian themed wine tasting with matching bite sized Italian food. Selection of wine from Tanners selected to match the food. Service was great, wine amazingly lovely, setting (by the lake and fountain) was beautiful. Great value for money. All round excellent. Thank you.

A really enjoyable evening - a wine tasting event with an Italian theme - Italian wines accompanied with very nice morsels of Italian foods. The service was excellent, the food was lovely, the wines (supplied by Tanner's Wines) were great, and the ambience, sitting by the pond with a fountain, was very enjoyable. A really great evening.

Food was absolutely amazing, can say the best place we've eaten out and no place can compare, staff went above and beyond, Johnny our server was amazing, made us feel very welcome and made a massive effort for us! Really can't fault the place, restaurant is stunning and a very scenic surrounding. We will definitely be revisiting soon!

Really enjoyed my night here. Staff made us feel special and the venue was great. Some of the food could have done with more sauce but overall very good. The chocolate dessert was amazing.

Everything about the experience was absolutley sublime - couldn't ask for any better. The setting of the restaurant is based within the grounds of the parent Allpay business, which is utterly picturesque. From the moment we walked through the doors, the staff were polite, attentive and friendly - making us feel highly valued as customers. Both of the waiting staff taking care of us were talkative and knowledgeable, providing information and advice (where requested) regarding the food, wine and cocktails we expressed interest in. We were astonished to learn that one of the staff members was new to the business, as he seemed to take the whole operation in his stride, providing quality, efficient service with a smile. All of the expectations one would have regarding the handling of the food, cutlery, glassware and crockery by the waiting staff were observed - but not in a way that would make someone, like myself, who doesn't often eat at fine dining restaurants uncomfortable. The staff are obviously very good judges of character and came to match our more relaxed approach as we warmed to them throughout the course of our meal. The food, wine and cocktails were all impecible, and provided a culinary experience like no other. The food, while catering to the audience of fine dining restaurants, still provided hearty portion sizes - the lack thereof being a pet peeve of mine at many other fine dining establishments. The wine was excellent, and I was pleased to learn that most (if not all) of it is supplied by local independents. The cocktails were fabulous, and we were especially impressed that the mixologist happily provided a favourite of my dining partner which did not appear on the menu. A special thank you goes to Hannah, one of the staff tending to us during our meal, who arranged free return transport for us as well as re-arranging the time slot so that we could enjoy our post-meal drinks and the general atmosphere a while longer. I would gladly return again and would recommend a visit to anyone, irrespective of whether they frequently enjoy fine dining restaurants or not.

We had the most wonderful experience at Carriages , Black Bomber Cheese Soufflé - “Ridiculously good” as was everything we ate. Thank-you for a lovely evening from start to finish 😊

We were a little dubious of a restaurant on a retail park but we needn’t have worried because as soon as you are close to the restaurant the ambiance and tranquility takes over and you feel like you are out in the middle of no where. We started with drinks on the balcony over looking the small lake/pool with fountain. We were asked if ready to dine and taken through to the lovely dining area. It was very spacious which was great as it was comfortable to talk freely. We all ordered different starters and mains and none of us were disappointed. The service, ambiance, food and friendly staff made our evening very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend a visit. And the added advantage of transport home at the end of the evening was a super plus as I am usually the designated driver. Definitely will be returning

I cannot recommend this place enough. The food was outstanding. Everything from the welcome from the security guard, the welcome and the call back from Joe when they missed my call, Kofi the bartender and his mastery with the cocktails, lovely Ann-Marie who took very good care of our needs with patience and a sense of humour and wonderful Chef Kenny (absolute legend!) EVERYTHING was SUPERB. And they took us home afterwards with Jeff the driver! I'm not often surprised but I was. The food is Michelin standard at gastropub prices - phenomenal.

Bit of a mission/slightly confusing to get there for the first time, but once you’re there it’s SO worth it. It’s like a secret hide away. A lovely welcome with champagne on arrival. Food was prompt and every dish was delicious and cooked to perfection! Lots of original cocktails too which I love! 100% would recommend!

What may seem a bit weird, to be dining in what us actually the staff eating venue of a company, turns out to be a charming delight. After the peculiarity of getting past security at the entrance to the business park, it's all beautiful. Service is friendly and positive. Personal food issues (allergies etc) are dealt with nicely. The food itself is absolutely excellent, imaginative, beautifully presented, delicious. We went on a Friday evening, that being the only evening available till now but understand the intention is to open on more evenings.

This is Herefords best kept secret ! Went here to celebrate my husbands big birthday last night - wow what a venue! Outstanding food and customer service by all staff and Joe Williams who made sure we were all happy. Can't fault this place -- hoping to come here again very soon

At first, you wonder why you're being ushered into an office building in a modern "campus" surroundings by the security staff of an organisation called Allpay. Turns out that by day, the building actually is Allpay HQ! To be honest it was a trifle difficult to find and the side road you're supposed to use was only marked on the corner by an "A-board" which is more or less invisible in the dark whereas the other two (wrong) entrances to the busines park were easier to spot. I went back and checked next morning - I hadn't imagined it, it really difficult to see the correct turning . Anyway, rant over. The food and service were excellent, as was the ambience once a few more dîners turned up - we ate early. They definitely need more publicity (and directions) . Friends who live 1.5 miles away in Withington had never heard of it despite being one of the few decent (non-pub) eateries in the area.
