We had dinner here last night, it was an amazing evening. We had the 4 course tasting menu and the food really was amazing. Every mouthful was complex and interesting and just damn delicious! The staff were great. They were very attentive, the service was spot on. It is right on the edge of the sea, so try and book one of the sea view tables, or one of their outdoor pods if you can. We were really impressed.

Went for a Sunday roast had the scotch egg and squid for started which were really good! Roast beef for main. This was a great Sunday dinner. Loads of food, beef cooked perfectly and everything seasoned well. Staff were super friendly and very attentive. Dog friendly as well which was a bonus!

Interesting little pub with a good range of food and an amazing range of curries. Not much choice on the beer front sadly, but you can't have everything. Got very busy, at 6pm with the rush for food but emptied out a bit by 7:30pm. I did think that the couple who changed their baby on the floor in the eating area were a bit out of order, but maybe that was the only place they could find. Not the best thing to look at while eating beef madras... but not the pubs fault!

Nothing wrong with the food, but customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I went in twice as I just thought the first lady might be having a bad day or assumed I was a second home owner or was a tourist. I went back again the following week and would you believe another young lady was equally rude. Practically threw the pasties at me!! I was born and bred in Pendeen, and was disgusted at their attitude. That is not how you interact with people who are keeping you employed!

Lovely place with some great staff. Only aesthetic issues we found was how unkept it had been (with the age of it it’s to be expected) but it’s now being refurbished so almost not worth mentioning but also the confusion with payment. We were almost made to feel as if we were trying to avoid our bill at breakfast when the night before we were told at the bar it’s not a problem just pay the tab on depart and when we explained this the waitress she still sounded accusatory when we just wanted to enjoy our breakfast that was rather disappointing in the end. Also struggled to check out as there was no one around we just hung around for about 20 mins to hand over our keys and make sure there was no more outstanding (although we knew we’d paid) on our room as we felt like we were doing something wrong from our previous bill we didn’t want to leave anyone with any bad perceptions of us but the manager was extremely polite and friendly when we did see him and didn’t make us feel any kind of way about our dilemma from the morning. Overall lovely place I would recommend going to now it’s being done up but I do hope they keep some of the history as brewery seems to get rid of that all nowadays.

After a walk around Lands End we popped into this Inn for a drink and bite to eat with our 4 dogs. Fabulous find, and so glad we went. Lots of history surrounding the Inn and a covered ‘well’ with explanation on the wall. Staff very welcoming and friendly and food was excellent. Curried carrot and parsnip soup really went down well with myself, others had cheesy chips, loaded fries and jacket potato. Well worth a visit

Called in for a drink. Disinterested landlord could barely make eye contact with us. No attempt to converse and mumbled thank you as we left. There was no one else in the pub, I’m not surprised. We won’t go back.

We had our AGM at the Commercial which was followed by a 3 course meal for 38 members, in the lovely bright conservatory. The meal was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend for holding a large gathering here. Some of our members stayed and were very happy with their rooms and delicious breakfast.

We had a very nice lunch here in April whilst on holiday. I had a great cauliflower soup and my partner enjoyed sausages. This is a nice old pub with a good atmosphere and very friendly, pleasant management. Recommended if you're in this part of the country.
