Came here to pick up a takeaway fish and chips. We was greeted by the extremely rude person behind the counter who told us it’s a 40 minute wait and no explanation. He was extremely rude and I would never return, the place looked pretty grotty to be fair anyway

Would have liked to get some fish and chips here after all the good reviews and after a long walk we were looking forward to getting some to finish the day, only to get there with a' sorry we're closed today ' on the door. Shan't bother going back!

We lived locally for 20 years and know this shop well and we’re both concerned and appalled by the recent adverse reports. We are here on holiday with a group of friends from the SE. Yesterday we had 4 cod snd chips and 2 hake and chips. Excellent!!! Fresh fish, good chips, hot, and cooked to order. Waiting time! The time it takes to cook at 190 degrees. Rest assured!

We visited in May when only takeaways were available, ordered online and collected. Efficient service and excellent fish and chips.

35 minute wait for basic sausage , chips and gravey , I explained I had a theatre show and asked how long it would take , the girl serving was rude !! I paid for large gravey they gave me a regular so after 30 mins of waiting I had to wait longer for the large gravey !! When I got in the car I realized the gravey was cold and had to turn back in which the girl again was rude and said she had warmed it up in the microwave already and was not willing to warm it back up for me , I can't believe how rude and un professional this place is , they must just get customers due to location ! If I was you leave this place all together you will be disappointed.

Waited over half an hour for fish and chips. The fish wasn't bad but the chips were soggy and under cooked. Really disappointing.

On our first night at a local campsite we went for fish and chips. We were told there would be 20 minutes wait which was fine but a total lie. We were waiting for an hour and 15. While we were waiting they just kept taking orders that they clearly couldn't keep up with. Later in the holiday we decided to go again thinking that perhaps they were just having a bad night due to big influx of visitors into the area. Managed to ring ahead and got our order at the time stated, but when we got back to the campsite we found 4 things from the order missing. We have a very busy fish and chip shop locally in Bedford but they manage to have a system that works. This fish and chip shop need to sort it out!

Whilst this is a take-away, you first of all place your order which took 20 minutes and then wait for the food to be cooked which again was around another 20 mins. Although the food was hot, the quality of the fish was average ( fairly thin with hard batter ) and the portions of chips were small ( even if you order large ). On my visit there were many unhappy customers complaining about the excessive wait. If you are considering a visit be prepared to wait for average food.

Really disappointing! After a very long wait, the fish and chips were really poor and the portions tiny. Couldn’t eat the meals and little other options locally at short notice.

We’ve been coming for years and always look forward to it. But a 40 minute wait for an order we had already called ahead for is just far too much. The food is delicious but the wait times are just not worth it. Everyone in the queue was getting angry. Orders missed all over the place. They told me 10 minutes when I arrived, 25 mins later I asked how long it would be and they told me another 15. It’s a real shame as it’s a part of our annual holiday we look forward to, but I will be trying some other local chip shops from now on.

Terrible. Only go there because it’s the only place to eat nearby. Over a 45 min wait for some mediocre food, told 25-30 min wait.

I do not recommend . Fish and chips are a long-established dish all over the UK. In this place, fish and chips go against the standard. Small portion of fish (additionally in the "fish" menu it is only fish without chips - fries have to be paid separately. In the UK menu, when you buy fish, you get fish with chips). The fries are overcooked in oil pure. Fatty and not crunchy. Oh, sorry they crunch sometimes, because you have to find sand grains .. The menu is extensive, but each day is limited to a few items. The kids don't eat fish so I asked for a cheeseburger from the menu, however the answer was that today the menu is limited to fish and chips or sausage and chips .. nothing else. it's a mockery, not to mention the prices. I understand that this is a tourist spot and the price may be higher, but for good quality, not for such a tasteless dish. I do not understand positive opinions and with such a low quality of food, being small, these people did not experience the taste of decent fish and chips. If you have nothing to eat and nowhere to buy, buy it here. However, having any choice - choose somewhere else.

I don’t know what is going on in 190 degrees west (you can’t go in to see) but the evidence makes you feel that some beginners are trying to run the place using a couple of saucepans on a camping stove. We joined a group of about 5 others waiting to collect food outside and placed our order. We expected to see the orders coming out the door fairly steadily but nothing happened for ages - and some of the others had already been waiting a goodly while. Our order was finally called about 3/4 hour later and we got home - fortunately only 5 minutes away - to find that two of the four meals were there, but the two fish taco meals had been supplied with just the chips. The chips were unappetisingly limp and greasy. So I headed back to collect the missing items. When we finally started eating we realised that none of the chips had the salt/vinegar requested, and the tartare source we ordered had also been missed out. The art of running a chippy has been well established in England and it allows fresh hot crispy food to be rolled out from a bank of fryers with clean sizzling hot oil in fairly swift succession to a steady flow of customers… This is not that.

We live locally but hadn’t tried these before - they were absolutely delicious. Not soggy or greasy, just perfect. We’ll definitely be back 👌

We were so looking forward to our fish and chip dinner after the inviting smells from arrival at our appartment behind l the shop. We ordered on line and the service was spot on but the quality of the chips and fish was very disappointing....

I wonder if recent reviewers went to the same place? Our meal was fantastic, chips cooked to perfection. Beautiful fish in light crisp batter. Highly recommend it...lovely food and good service.

Staff friendly, fish and chips are lovely fresh and light, order beforehand and collect at a time, they were ready on time.

Ridiculous ordering system, completely no need for it... so you do order (nearly always minimum hour wait) then they forget parts of your order, the chips were completely awful, refried.... empty of potato... the fish was oily, ordered salt and vinegar none on it.... just awful will definitely not be recommending or using it again !!!! And completely overpriced

This place had been highly recommended to us by friends who visit Cornwall regularly. The ordering system was simple to do and I didn’t have to wait to long for the food.All our food was piping hot and my fish and chips was lovely. We drove down and parked up the top of Sennen Cove which was the perfect end to a lovely day.All the staff were doing everything they could to get orders sorted so I’m surprised at some of the reviews.

We were really looking forward to coming back and tucking into their great fish and chips, but were very disappointed fish (Cod) was micro thin with more batter than fish, chips dry and not asked if we wanted salt and vinegar, hope it’s a one off.

Stand outside for 10 minutes waiting for people in front then get told they are closed! Girl inside saw us outside and didn't say a word! Then chef gets funny when questioned! Shocking service! Never going back!

For my birthday I wanted to enjoy fish and chips on Sennen beach.There is a closer fish and chip bar but we'd been disappointed previously.109 degrees west was recommended so we ordered several fish, sausages, chips and curry sauce.It was delicious. Nothing failed and the family really enjoyed it. The fish was beautifully meaty, the curry sauce had a nice kick to it. Very pleased. Also impressed by the packaging for the chips being mostly packaging made from paper/cardboard in brown paper bags. Well done this place.

Ordered over the phone and food was ready on time. Certainly never had better Cod and Chips and the Halloumi Tacos were amazing! Also had a side of Monk Fish goujons which were really tasty. Overall outstanding quality and service, highly recommended

Staff friendly and food really good. They even have several vegetarian & vegan options which I was surprised about with it being in a village. Fish excellent without skin or bones. If visiting area again would definitely go back!

What a beautiful place the foods cooked fresh while you wait we always visit this place when in lands end and it never fails to impress us. Good value for money polite staff they go that extra mile to give you a great experience. Your mad if you leave lands end and don’t stop in this place

We eat here regularly when we get to Sennen. The quality is excellent, the staff friendly and the prices reasonable.

Good menu offering fish, sea food, burgers and tacos. Sadly, Cornish pasties are not available but all food is fresh-cooked and good value. Takeaway or eat-in meals.

Called and ordered ahead, staff were friendly and had the order ready to pick up quickly. Good fish and chips and varied menu. Kids loved the battered halloumi! Would definitely go again

Would highly recommended this place - 100% the best and freshest fish and chips in the area - also non greasy and they serve everything in recyclable containers, others in the area still use polystyrene which is a simple no from me when we are trying to save the planet! Also the curry sauce is up with the best! Grab a take away from here, a bottle of wine from next door and head down to the beach!

Lovely fish n chips and weeee love our fish n chips. Not too greasy and fresh cod. Compared to fish n chips back home this was a healthy treat.

I visited this place during the early evening. My cod + chips was freshly cooked and tasted delicious.

We ordered a large chips that wasn’t so large, fed the two of us however anymore than two adults needing to eat I would recommend ordering more than one large portion. I had a piece of cod which was beautiful! We come from oxford and have one fish and chip shop that we eat from, this was better!! Curry sauce was absolutely to die for!

Rang to book a table as there was 8 of us, person who answered was not very enthusiastic. He said he could not book the table but would reserve it?? We arrived on time, table reserved but only 7 seats, when we asked for another seat were told ‘we haven’t got another one!!! So we left! Could not believe it. More a takeaway than restaurant

Fresh cooked fish and a varied menu, a must for a traditional f&c; takeaway. Had the homemade coleslaw which was really good. Often a queue - beware closes at 8.30.

If your after good no nonsense fish and chips or halloumi and chips check this place out. Near Lands End and Sennen Cove. Good cheap eats, would come again.

Got some freshly cooked cod and chips here and sat on the cliff top overlooking Gwyner beach whilst the sunset. Fish was jus5 the right size with crispy batter, and the chips were plentiful. It rounded off a great day out for us, and didn’t cost the earth.

Everything cooked to order with care to ensure the right food temperatures reached. Really tasty fish, chicken and chips at sensible prices. Well worth the short wait for the food to cook as it is always fresh and hot. So good we had to visit it twice (and we were only there four days)!!

I had fish and chips.... best battered fish I have had in a long time. Boys had battered sausage and that was yummy too. Chips were fab. They were crispy and fresh. Large chip portion sizes were really too big for us ... but not a problem at all!

We have just eaten the best fish and chips we have ever had! The fish was cooked perfectly with lovely crisp batter and the chips were perfect and crisp and fluffy. We will definitely be back again the next time we are in Pen with.

I am a fish and chip fanatic. Being honest I’ve been here several times over the last 3 years and it’s been decent. Dinner time today, I had my Haddock and chips with chips peas and gravy for the wife. I asked for chips a bit crisp, I didn’t mind waiting as everything was freshly cooked. It really was bang on today, Haddock and batter - perfect and the chips out of this world, yes 10/10 today, even the Mrs was happy. Yes so good I rang the guy up and told him.

It's over three years since we last ate at this chippie and it's still just as good. There are a host of different things available on the menu but we still opted for good old Cod, chips and pease. As always you have to wait while your order is freshly cooked but it's better than having fish, pies etc kept warm for hours. The food was fresh, hot and tasty....and a lot of it. Certainly one of the best chip shops I've been to and we'll be back next time!

Stayed at The Lands End Hotel this weekend with my fiance, didnt fancy eating there so drove up the road to Sennen and found this chippy, so glad we did ! Decided to eat in, had cod, battered sausages, chips and curry sauce and it was all delicious and at very reasonable prices, left feeling full and satisfied. Will definitely use this place again if we are in this area.

We had a take away whilst staying in the campsite just next door. Was just what we needed! Lots of great options. The usual traditional ones but also more alternatives like battered halloumi and jalapeno poppers. Got very busy as it was the bank holiday weekend bit still didn't have to wait too long.

Well worth the wait whilst freshly prepared. Fish with a crispy batter along with some very hot chips without a hint of any grease.

The food was not nice at all. They make you wait for a long time as they insist on cooking everything fresh, this is presented as a favour to you but is presumably to cut down on waste, and when you eventually got your order the cod is dry, tasteless and inedible. It was a complete waste of money and of course you don't have the time or energy to return to wait again for a better cooked portion. Avoid

Fantastic takeaway, my partner had fish and chips & I had halloumi and vegetable sausage. The batter used for all components was light and did not have any residual uncooked layers which seems to becoming more common. Would strongly recommend.

We stopped off on Tuesday for a piece of fish and a sausage with chips. Well the young girl behind the counter seemed like she would rather be anywhere than serving the general public. I was however impressed with the young boy cooking the food. Checked the temperature of every thing he cooked. Didn't need to listen to the girl talking for 25 minutes about getting a tattoo or what she wants doing. After 30 minutes of standing waiting for the chips their wasn't even an apology for the delay not whilst we were waiting or when we had finally been served.

Obviously the best chippy in Cornwall and the food was simply delicious. However you don't just walk up, place your order and get served. You place your order and have to come back about 25 minutes later. 8pm on a Tuesday! Come on the staff here were waffling on about how it would be dead at 9:30 and they could go home! The management here needs to get a stricter process in place especially around giving phone orders priority over visitors. Having had my moan I am still giving 3 stars as the food was perfect.

The fish was dry and tough with the batter being overcooked and too crispy. There is no choice regarding the size of fish so had to have a reasonably small fish which was so thin it just couldn't handle being fried. The chips were ok though. They cook everything to order which is annoying and takes ages. I could see my food cooked but had to wait until they read my ticket and compiled my order. Will not be returning.

The food from here was superb. The chips were the best we've had in ages and the haddock was gorgeous. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and if you want to you can sit inside to eat once you've got your order. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

I went in here while on a lads holiday. I asked the member of staff for a haddock and chips without the batter and explained that I had a gluten intolerance. The staff then went to talk to the cook and they came up with the brilliant idea of dipping the haddock into flour. The last time I checked flour contained gluten. The only other option was chips on the menu. And maybe the vegetarian sausage but I did not trust the staff to figure that out at all by this point. The chips I ended up having were huge and so chunky the middle was unpleasently soft. All in all I was very disappointed and upset that there was no so much as an apology for the lack of food for someone with intolerance's or allergies.

During our 2 weeks holiday in Sennen i ve visited this restaurant 3 times for take away.excelent fish and chips , they make nice chicken chunks also. The place is clean , the staff was ok.

Fast but well prepared food delivery, by a willing team. This is a "Chippy" in the nicest term. The food is generally well delivered. There is an eat in facility, but by presumption the majority taker advantage of the take away option. The menu is to a good standard, providing the usual suspects of fayre. All in all, well worth a visit.

Very good fish and chips but be prepared for a long wait. It was worth it and we enjoyed them overlooking this wonderful coastline.

Outward journey from Lands end we came across this restaurant on the main road purely by chance. Obviously a very quiet period as only the chef was on duty and we were the only customers sitting. We ordered the fish special of the day, haddock that was perfectly cooked and obviously sea fresh. The chips crisp and the mushy peas flavorsome. Without doubt the best fish and chips we have ever had.

Popped in here after arriving and had a good takeaway. Chips well cooked, scampi was delicious and the chicken ‘nuggets’ were huge pieces of chicken breast. Bit of a wait but that’s because it was very busy - always a good sign. Better than its nearest competitor!

I visited in the early evening so it was not very busy, and the service was prompt and friendly. I ordered standard cod and chips, which took 10-15 minutes to arrive. I was very impressed with the quality of the cooking. The chips were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, and the batter on the fish was crisp.

We ordered fish chips for 6 and stayed on to eat. The staff were very efficient at what was a very busy period. The food was excellent and very filling, I recommend the haddock as that was very tasty.

Always a good sign when there is a queue outside waiting to order. We ordered cod and chips ; portion size was good. Unless you are very hungry the regular size portion is ample - a large portion of chips would feed a family! That said the chips are excellent! The fish was delicious, wish I had opted for the locally caught hake though, instead of sticking to the cod, as this isn't a fish generally on offer in London fish and chip shops.

I came in and bought a portion of Haddock, chips and mushy peas to take away around five o'clockish.

Visited here this evening after a lovely stroll down to Sennen Cove, was warmly greeted into a modern, clean and welcoming seating area, ordered 2 haddock which were freshly cooked for us and delicious, highly recommended.

We stayed up the road at Seaview Holiday Park so this being the nearest food outlet decided to give it a try and really happy food was beautiful staff were friendly
