Nothing wrong with the food, but customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I went in twice as I just thought the first lady might be having a bad day or assumed I was a second home owner or was a tourist. I went back again the following week and would you believe another young lady was equally rude. Practically threw the pasties at me!! I was born and bred in Pendeen, and was disgusted at their attitude. That is not how you interact with people who are keeping you employed!

It says that this is the oldest pasty maker in Cornwall. I had the giant traditional pasty and it was delicious. Ver the years we have tried various Cornish pasties, and I would rate this one near the top - plenty of (correct!) filling, perfect pastry and nice and hot. We sat on the bench outside with a hot drink - the best way to enjoy!

I have been buying Paties from Warrens which is the oldest continuous Pasty Maker in SW Cornwall, and I still buy from them (before Covid) from time to time. I used to buy their really nice Goose and Split Tin bread loaves for many years but during the last year (2019) they stopped doing that bread and the stuff they do have in isn't as nice as it used to be. They seem to have focused on cheap Generic loaves now and Speciality Breads which are not that cheap so I have stopped buying bread from there and now only get Pasties.

We stopped here for three pasties; first off the service was very odd. Only 1 person in shop at a time, we waited outside but then we got shouted in by the only lady behind the counter not wearing a face mask! The two creamy chicken pasties were in reality mostly sauce, potato and veg....with a hint of chicken; so maybe they should be renamed seeing as the chicken wasn't the largest ingredient ? Anyway they filled a gap but weren't particularly tasty!

I have been to this bakery many times before whilst staying on holiday in Pendeen. The staff have always been lovely and people are usually queuing to get inside which should speak volumes. However as I live over 250+ miles away, I decided to place an online order. Whilst the Cornish pasties I ordered were fantastic and brought back happy memories, the Saffron tea loaf dried out very quickly and was too crumbly. The price of £9.50 for one Saffron tea loaf was EXTORTIONATE as the loaf was certainly NOT even worth £2.00. Yes to having pasties again, but I will avoid the Saffron tea loaf as it was very poor.

Bought some white and brown bread rolls this morning for today’s lunch. When we got home we found the brown rolls were frozen in the middle. We called the shop to be told all their rolls arrive at the shop in a frozen state. When we suggested the shop assistant could have told us the rolls were still frozen she replied that they are told by head office not to say anything about them being frozen. We couldn’t return to the shop so some of us had to have something else for lunch. Very bad customer service and questionable business practice.

Our first experience of the companies cornish pasty was one bought in their Hayle branch. I was disappointed as found it far too salty and the meat was one solid lump inside the pastry. The staff there though were very friendly and the service good. We also had croissants from there and they were still fresh the following day (not very French then). While visiting St Just we needed to grab a quick lunch before our journey home and decided to give the pasty another whirl. This one was so much better and my faith was restored. The staff were equally good as well.

I must be one of the few people who doesn't like a Cornish pasty but I just don't "do" onions and they don't make any variety without, so I always have a hot cheese and bacon pastry. Unfortunately, on this holiday, although we frequented the shop on three separate occasions there were no cheese and bacon pastries to be had. It wasn't thay they had sold out, they just hadn't had any in. My friend had a pasty on each occasion but I had to have a suasage roll. Now I like sausage rolls but not as much as cheese and bacon pastries so I hope they return for sale by the time I come on holiday next year.

I called Warrens at Foundry Square in Hayle, Cornwall because I wanted to see whether I could get a pasty delivered to my step-father for his 91st birthday. He lives nearby and his favourite food is a Warrens pasty (closely followed by a Warrens saffron bun). I was calling from the United States. They put me on to Tamsin who I think is the manager there. She couldn’t have been more helpful. She volunteered to take the pasty and saffron bun to him personally, and even didn’t charge. He was delighted with his birthday lunch! Thank you sincerely Tamsin: I will call in next time I am in Hayle, pay my bill and thank you in person. A customer for life!

We were staying in Cape Cornwall, and St Just was ‘just’ a few minutes stroll away. We frequented Warrens Bakery quite a few times, the pastries and cakes simply had to be sampled. On par with Greggs. The pasties were delicious and there were huge meringues of different flavours that we had not seen anywhere else before. I don’t know about the shop in St Just, but in Penzance and Falmouth from about 4 O’clock onwards they started selling things for half price. Well worth trying for a snack or sweet treat.

A new Warrens Bakery has just opened in Ashford, Kent and it looks very upmarket and promising from the outside. Today we visited for the first time and bought cheese and onion pasties but we were very disappointed! The shop looks nice and new and clean and the staff very friendly though the tills were down and we had to pay by routing through all our change to get correct money. Our disappointment was more the food. The pasties were a good size but the pastry is doughy and bread like, very chewy and the bottom of both pasties were dark brown and sticky and very bitter tasting. The filling was quite sparse and yet the doughy pastry was thick and unpleasant so in our opinion the cheapest part of the pasty is the larger part. The cheese and onion filling was sparse. Also the filling was very salty and neither of us finished these pasties. I’d say for £3.40 each they are not worth the money. We have bought from West Cornwall pasty company before and there’s a lot of difference between these two so it’s West Cornwall pasty company we will return to. I think there are better supermarket pasties out there than what we were sold today which is a shame.

I cannot believe the reviews of this bakery. We were staying in St Just and saw that they have a (substantiated) claim to be the oldest pastie makers in the world. I have no idea of the veracity of this shop's claims re being the oldest pasty maker in the world etc.All I can say is that I have eaten many pasties over the years, and several on this visit to Cornwall, and the pasty we had from Warrens was the best yet.The pastry is perfect; the meat content just right; the filling wonderfully moist; and the seasoning spot on.Absolutely top class.Grab one to go, head on down to Cape Cornwall - and have a visual and tasty feast both at the same time.

When visiting Cape Cornwall we always pick up a Cornish Pasty from Warrens in St Just. Being traditionalists the pasties have to be the steak ones full of meat, veg and gravy. We eat them, still piping hot, whilst enjoying the sea view from the National Trust Car Park. Sometimes we're very naughty and also buy one of their cakes. We have never been disappointed.

My son can't go a day without one of their pasties and my husband loves their saffron buns. The smell of baking whilst waking past makes you want to call in. Top bakers

I stopped in this little bakery on my way back up the hill to catch my tour bus. The lady running the place was friendly and a little flirty...which is always good! ;) The selection was vast and the prices were unbelievably cheap considering this is a touristy area. I got a sweet bun as big as my head and my friend chose a gingerbread man cookie. Had a great time in St. Ives and this was just the icing on top...pun intended!

Arrived in St Just at 2.05 and hungry. Stepped into the pub next door to Warrens, but were told lunch finished at 2.00 and that was that. Luckily, Warren's came to the rescue. They had no problems with post-2PM arrivals, so we ordered up on pasties and settled in at one of the small tables outside. More luck, the threatening skies held firm. The pasties were hearty and tasty - as good as we had during our stay in Cornwall. And the Large one was huge - more than a meal. Also tried their saffron cakes, which apparently are another Cornish speciality, though not sure what all the fuss is about with them. Would happily return.

On a quick stop for a picnic lunch and sweets we stopped at Warren's in St Just. The staff were so funny and friendly and I ordered so many sweets to go I can't even remember the name of them all. The best was a lemon tart though! Soooo yummy!!!

The staff were very friendly. The hot drinks were alright and the cakes were alright. They didn't rush us. The whole atmosphere was really nice and lovely. I didn't have to raise my voice to speak to my boyfriend who has a hearing impairment which is a hearing aid.

Had a lovely meal,Rump Steak& Croft Burger, then sweets to finish. Great food and service. Shame the weather wasn't a little better as we would have sat outside after our meal.

We were on holiday and ended up eating here 3 times. We had our dog who typically was nervous in eating places so we never bothered eating out, we were given a table in the corner and asked for the same one every time which they obliged as she was settled, it helped that the staff were all so helpful and the food was so nice, would highly recommend the Pityme Inn and we will visit again, it made our holiday
