The best restaurants serving Default food in Mullion Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

We visited Lizard Point on April 2nd and Wavecrest was a must do on our list. Their tea and scones are delicous and the view is outstanding. While enjoying our tea and scones watching seals play in the water below. Highly recommend. This was our second visit and can’t wait to go back again.

I originally come from this part of Cornwall and Jumunjy had been recommended to me by several locals that I know. The food, the service, and the decor did not disappoint and we had an excellent evening. Before visiting I had looked at the menu and thought it looked a little on the expensive side but the actual bill at the end of the evening seemed reasonable, particularly given the quality of the food.

Absolute favourite place to eat in Cornwall each time we visit! Such beautiful and tasty food which is well thought out and presented beautifully. A lovely atmosphere and such a unique spot. A must visit!

We tried the lamb. The wild garlic and potatoe soup. Also the halloumi with extra ham. The soup was incredibly tasty. The salads were very tasty. The homemade apple cake was lovely. We sat in the covered area which protected us from the wind. Highly recommended. Wish I had taken photos for you to see.

Was really looking forward to visiting this place after reading some great reviews & discovering it was quite close to our holiday park. Unfortunately it was closed for the exact same 3 days we were there. Operates from a mobile caravan with very limited opening times. Oh well, maybe next time. 🤷

We wanted a lunch and our usual place was packed so tried here and were not a bit disappointed. My husband had the best crab salad/sandwich he has ever had. Will be back in Spring 2025

Even though the cafe was closed the ladies kindly did a take out tea and scone with jam and cream for me which I really appreciated.

Based on the reviews, we visited this place last sunday. However, now only was the service poor, but the food was not great too. The staff taking the order had no clues what was in the drinks and even claimed that they did not know as they did not drink! Dirnks seemed very diluted despite ordering the Tiki Fire, which was supposed to be 70% alcohol..Also, order had to be repeated several times and to multiple people. And the food... well whilst the flavors were good, the veggies were all over cooked and soggy. Whilst the ambiance was good, I would not want to revisit if this is the service and food provided for what they charge.

The Fallowfields restaurant is excellent in every way. The food was exceptional, each course packed with flavours and well presented. It was creative, inventive and fun. Portion sizes were good for a tasting menu. They were flexible for non-seafood eaters. The wines were well chosen and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and unlike some other chefs/restaurants in Cornwall this was Michelin star quality food, but with no pretension and cheaper than some, but of quality that is equal to if not better than most. The room has spectacular views over Lizard point - with multiple ships gliding by - and when the sun goes down the lighthouse blinks away. This is a wonderful place for a special occasion. The staff were highly professional but relaxed and friendly. No surprise service charge is wonderful as it does allow you to roughly know what your bill will be. If you are driving from Helston - you'll see directional signs on the left - however they disappear and its confusing better to had into Lizard town and turn left at the square. The lane that leads to the Hotel is badly pot-holed and desperately needs attention! Manager - please make this a priority as it is almost at the it's going to damage my car stage.

First the easy bit - coffee & cake were excellent. Now - the trickier subject of dogs in restaurants! We were greeted by the sight of five dogs - three of which sprawled out blocking both of the gangways through to the toilet! The couple who walked in in front of us decided not to stay. Various people tried to pick their way past the dogs to get to the toilet and then one of the dogs had the last laugh as it didn’t need to move from where it was sat to go to the toilet!! The owner quickly got her bag out to clear it up but….!

A brilliant little gem to stop at after the Lizard Point if you like seafood.

We had one of the panoramic rooms. The room is a bit old. But the bathroom is very modern. But what it's all about: When you sit in front of the panoramic window, it's simply overwhelming! The coastal hiking trail passes directly in front of the hotel. The path to the right in particular is indescribably beautiful. The food is also very good and, above all, the view!

Lovely sea views, albeit a little far from the sea, great welcome from the staff, very friendly, good choice of food and wines, a lovely Tempranillo at a reasonable price.

Great value for money, food was lovely, and the staff were very polite and welcoming. Thank to all the staff for your great hospitality
