Had a great fun time in this pub whilst on holiday . Locals made us feel very welcome & we thoroughly enjoyed the football . Drinks reasonable & very fresh fish dishes available from the nearby fish place .

Came to lizard for two weeks from london and didn’t see any point in going to any other pub the whole time. The Witch Ball has it all. VERY friendly staff. GREAT food. very friendly customers. very nice beers. If you don’t go to this pub whilst in Lizard you are very silly. it’s so lovely to sit outside in the sun with a GREAT fish and chips and a pint. it is DOG friendly and has a pool table and darts to play inside. good selection of beers on tap, great options on the menu, especially shellfish. they have crab, haddock, lobster, prawns. it all. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Loved this pub! So much so, we ended up here every evening while camping down on the Lizard. The owner is super friendly, as our the locals. The Lizard Shellfish does all the food and it’s fresh, highly recommend! My parents came down here two weeks prior and also had a great experience.

Always pop in, locals are very friendly, and enjoy their self's. Would definitely recommend you go and see for yourself. Did not have food, but they are doing a good selection of sea food from a cafe next to them. We will be back.

Very friendly and welcoming. Large family party accommodated including 2 toddlers and 4 dogs. Good menu selection for all palates. Food tasty, good and well presented. Good selection of local ales & gins too. Returning customers.

Called into this 15th century pub after a lovely walk around Lizard Point.The Witchball is situated in the heart of Lizard village. It was Boxing Day afternoon and the place was heaving. Good range of drinks ,but on this particularly busy day there was no food or hot drinks available . Perfectly understandable. Service was good and we managed to get a seat at a table before it got even busier. Great post -Xmas atmosphere. Seating available outside too. Dogs welcome. Very well worth a visit

Stayed locally for the week visited this pub 3 times and ate twice,dirty fries with steak and mushroom sauce,mussels with coconut and chilli sauce,onion bhaji burger,and Caribbean fish curry all superb whatever this pub does do not loose the chef,what a find,far better than other more expensive places.Great beers good company.

9 of us went in for lunch for my Sons birthday. We sat in the little side room, which was lovely. Great good, great value. Highly recommended 👌

The right side of this pub is 16th Century. I just called in for a pint but it was so good I had to have another. The beers/ales available change regularly to give more choice, on my visit one beer was on promotion at £2.90 a pint. Lots of seating outside and inside.

Very busy pub because of the rugby World Cup. Dinner menu is small, but is accompanied by a much larger selection of specials, which are Caribbean themed and delightful. I had the Caribbean fish curry which was wonderful and full of flavour. My wife had jerk pork with a spice salad, and my son had an e ormous voodoo burger! Throughly recommended.

Called in for beer because the beer at a nearby pub was served flat. The beer like the staff was perfect. The was a "pub" like vibe to the place.

Great to see this old pub coming back to life. Four of us had surf and turf very it was nice. My son and I called back a couple of days later just as good as the first time. The last owner let it go down hill. I wish the new owners all the best and I hope they keep the good work up. The staff are friendly and happy in there work. Desie Wilson.

We came across this pub by chance and really glad we did. Tiny place inside but adequate seating outside. Fabulous food and very reasonable prices. Staff really friendly and despite it being extremely busy, service was good. The loaded fries were delicious. Just perfect after a long trek across the coast.

This lovely pub is on the Lizard in Cornwall and is the most southerly pub on mainland UK. This was a great place, we had portabello mushroom burgers and sweet potato frys followed by a chocolate desert with ice cream. There was a great choice for non-meat eaters. The food was top notch at a great price. The service was excellent, the staff were very polite and helpful, we didn't want for anything. It's that good we have booked a table to go back there. Well done and thank you for making this a truly enjoyable relaxing meal.

I like this pub , it's a locals pub and they are all friendly and inviting,we stop off here for a few beers every afternoon and watch the world go by .

Popped in for a pint and some food. Best pint of Guinness I'd had for a long time! We had the steak in creamy mushroom sauce on fries, absolutely delicious!

Walked up from the Lizard for a pint was pleased this pub was open as it was closed last time I was in the area sat outside in the sunshine.

Really nice family meal. Very friendly helpful staff. Simple menu so great food, well cooked and very tasty. Good value also. Only issue is its 10 hour drive from home!

The staff are really lovely and we felt really looked after. The atmosphere is really welcoming and apart from cigarette smoke wafting (that can't be helped) we had a lovely time .

Gorgeous old pub. Freehouse, had some sea fury left over from a beer festival still on tap. Some of the nicest sharps beer I've had. Food looked stunning and dog friendly.

Reserviert um Fish & Chips zu essen. Zum Glück, denn es war total voll. Trotz des Stresses, waren alle Servicekräfte sehr freundlich. F&C waren super. Als Vorspeise hatten wir Garlic Mushrooms - die kamen allerdings fast zeitgleich mit der Hauptspeise. Ausreichende Auswahl an Bier (Ale und Lager) und Wein (extra Karte). Preise sind absolut okay. Haben zu zweit 50£ mit Tip bezahlt.

Absolutely loved this pub! We wish we had this closer to home, the staff are outstanding and went above and beyond on more than one occasion when it was late, in sorting us food and drinks whilst staying locally. Outstanding staff, food and drink. The sea food and pizzas we had were insane, the cocktails were lovely too! Definitely worth a visit! Very very reasonably priced and much nicer than the more expensive places we went! Not sure how anyone could fault this place! Thank you for making it so memorable for us, will definitely come back!

Haben am Vortag reserviert um Muscheln zu essen, haben dies auch dazu gesagt und uns wurde gesagt es sind ausreichend Muscheln vorhanden. Am nächsten Tag sind wir hingekommen und wollten Muscheln bestellen, dies ging aber nicht, weil anscheinend alle Muscheln ausverkauft waren. Daher haben wir uns Steaks bestellt, da sowieso Steak Night war. Die Steaks waren eine volle Katastrophe, wir wollten Medium, bekamen aber ein völlig rohes (außen 1mm angebrasselt) und zwei völlig durchgegrillte Steaks. Außerdem waren die Steaks voller Fett und "Flachsen", was daraus schließen lässt, dass das Fleisch total billig war. Daher würde ich euch empfehlen dieses Lokal unbedingt zu meiden, um nicht auch noch diese schlechte Erfahrung zu erleben!

So I booked a table for 8pm on a Weds night. Steak night. On arrival, no steaks left! The rest of the menu is bang average. Then I’m told there’s a 45 minute wait for food. Shocking! I walked out in disgust with the whole family.

Visited The Witchball a couple of times during our stay at Lizard. Nice place to sit outside in the sun for a drink and we also visited to have dinner. Dinner was nice and I think reasonably priced for what you get. The mussel starter was good size and the mussels for main was significantly bigger and came with a lot more bread and chips. Could of had a few more scallops for the starter, but they were cooked nicely, not over done and the half lobster for main was also cooked well, not dry. We ate outside as wanted a laid back dinner so can't comment on the service inside the pub. Would eat there again if in the area.

Quite a busy evening in the restaurant, but after waiting half an hour after finishing our main course, and still with dirty plates and no drinks we decided not to wait for dessert menu. The food we had was fine, but with people waiting for tables it seemed ridiculous for them to ignore us. Disappointed.

Had dinner at The Witchball whilst staying in lizard overnight while walking part of the Coastal Path. The food was great and excellent value, and the local ale was a great pint. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.

Very local pub, food was excellent, had catch of the day, hake, wife had linguini with prawns, excellent food, service was great. Even have room outside. Parking where u can, mainly on the street

Nice pub..OK food... friendly staff..however the Gents Toilet is DISGUSTING!!! The Toilet seat is hanging off the door locks are broken and filty..looks like never been cleaned in Years !!

A lovely place to visit when in lizard, they serve fresh food, the customer service was really good and prompt. The fish and chips we had was caught in the local area, the kids menus are really well valued, the kids burger was nearly the size of an adults burger, I will say that this sort of location is primarily suitable for the elder generation and travelers. Over all I really enjoyed my stay and the food that was provided.

Great vibe and amazing Sunday roast. Will come again. If you are veggie make sure to call ahead, their vegetarian roast was very nice but they don't stock it every week.

Really disappointing. Ignore the other five star reviews - this is no more than an ok pub which punches above its weight due to being in the food desert of the furthest end of Cornwall. The lobster was overcooked. The Thai curry was weirdly sweet and had a strange slightly globby consistency - I would have been embarrassed to serve it at home. We left very disappointed after having chosen it specifically for fresh seafood. It's fairly rundown inside too - it feels like it hasn't been decorated for 20 years, and had a slightly social club feel to it. It was friendly, though, and would recommend for a drink. But no more than than.

Really enjoyable meal. Had the menu board specials tonight.. Salmon catch of the day, served with boiled potatoes and salad; and, halibut with cream sauce, mashed potatoes and mixed sauted vegetables. Perfect! Well done!

Called in on a whim and was delighted to find an old English pub oozing with character. The low beamed ceiling and small rooms with tables were cozy and nostalgic. We shared a seafood green Thai curry which was delicious and huge! Great little place

Went with the hopes of some great seafood. Following pictures and suggestions. However was left disappointed. I had the 1/2 lobster, and I have to say it was the toughest piece of lobster ever! So overdone it was almost inedible. That coupled with a 45min wait, it left much to be desired. Shame really, as the vibe of the pub was really good. 😕

Drink and service was great but the food left more to be desired, wouldn't recommend for the food but a great time for drinks and socialising.

Called in for lunch on a day trip to The Lizzard . Amazing food. The Sunday roast will satisfy the largest appetite and the lobster was first class . Great atmosphere with friendly , helpful staff. Highly recommended 👌

It's was okay, the bread we couldn't eat them because it's scaled. Scallops was not fresh as day. Perhaps we came a little later than 5pm, maybe it's was fresh at lunch??

Very nice pub. Friendly staff. My wife had a whole brown crab which she loved. A finger bowl would have been handy!

Very poor quality food. My half lobster was overcooked and extremely tough and it looked like they had taken some of the meat out of it to use elsewhere. Everything was overpriced - for example the scallop starter consisted of only 3 scallops for £9. A shocking experience all round.

Arrived late after a horror story at the Mounts Bay Inn. Straight to a table ordered food and drinks.. Great steaks, perfectly cooked and the most gorgeous plump mussels EVER! Really made our night.. Will be back time and time again

Food was terrible...ordered the catch of the day fish amongst other dishes and to be honest I’ve had fresher fish from captain Birdseye!! 2 local women fighting in front of my children while we was waiting for food and staff didn’t do anything...when we complained to them they just said it’s ok they are locals!! Another local told us it’s a regular thing...Absolutely disgusting behaviour wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone
