We ate here on all four nights of our stay and the table d'hôte dinners were superb. The wine list good and reasonably priced. Dining here with the view from the restaurant at sunset is worth experiencing.

Had lunch and dinner here on our return to Cornwall. Both were very good, especially the fish dishes and the scallops in particular. Staff are very pleasant. Had the restaurant menu in the bar for dinner as couldn’t get a table in the main restaurant ( not sure why as restaurant was more than half empty!) - the bar was very cold which made it a slightly less pleasant experience. Portions are small for the price but that isn’t unusual for hotels.

Had lunch here on Sunday with family and friends. Very attractive dining room and staff attentive, although service was occasionally a little off kilter. Food was good although the red cabbage served with the roasts was overly sweet and the cauliflower cheese wasn’t great. Having said that, everything else was very nice and it is a relaxing place to eat. Four stars not five due to the above mentioned issues but definitely worth a visit.

We ate here whilst staying the night. The service was very good. Good range of choices on the menu, it was fixed price 3 courses for £40 and then there were supplements of £3 on some items. Lovely views from the restaurant. The food was delicious.

We arrived after a 12 mile walk on coastal path with our dog hoping to be able to eat. The gentleman on reception who greeted us made us feel very welcome and advised that we could dine in the dog friendly lounge. This suited us fine as we were able to take advantage of the settees to relax with a drink before our meal arrived. I had a bean burger which was one of the most flavorsome burgers I have ever had, my husband had a regular burger. Both dishes had generous dressings as well as delicious freshly cooked chunky chips. The waitress was extremely polite, friendly and we did not feel rushed at all. On top of the welcome rest and great food we also was able to take in the sunset to top off a great day enjoying the Cornish Coastal path at its best.

Unfortunately the weather wasn't very good so no fantastic views for us. We went into the Bistro. The waiter was friendly but the service was poor. A few times the bar and bistro were left unattended and the restaurant was not busy. We ordered our food and a group of Americans ordered after us. They received there food first. Same happened with the dessert only ours never arrived. My husband had to get up to find the waiter and asked where the desserts were. Apparently the order had been lost in the kitchen. When paying the bill I asked the waiter to take off the desserts and he said it had been done. What actually happened was he reduced the desserts by half. The food by the way was very good but we won't go back. We will leave it to the Americans to pay £7.50 for three scoops of ice cream.

We were staying at the Mullion Cove Coastal Retreat on my birthday, and I wanted to go somewhere nice for a meal. We had heard that the hotel did good food. We booked a table in the Atlantic View Restaurant. Arrived and were shown to our table and drinks order taken. The staff were attentive but not "in your face", and left nice gaps between courses. It was lovely to sit and enjoy excellent food without feeling rushed. We went for the set menu, which has great choices for all courses. The food was wonderful, and very well presented. When we go back to Mullion Cove, we will definitely be booking into the hotel for an evening meal

We have eaten here several times before, and wanted something special to treat my Mum for Mother's Day. You couldn't get a better setting, and the set 3 course Sunday lunch was great value for money. My Mum and I were also given locally made chocolates to take away with us. A lovely touch thank you. It was really busy as you would expect on Mother's Day, but all of the staff worked so hard and were slick and professional. All 3 courses were so fresh and flavoursome. We had the gnocchi, soup and fish to start with, beef and lamb with all the accompaniments for our mains (extra gravy and well homemade Yorkshire puddings) and profiteroles and pana cotta. The chef should be congratulated. Fresh locally sourced ingredients, fabulously presented and so tasty to eat we thoroughly enjoyed every course. Thanks to all of you for making Mother's Day a memorable one.

Breakfast selection was well presented, from simple tea and toast to full English. Even porridge prepared to your personal preference! Obviously a fresh fish bias to the menu but all the mains were tempting, could easily dine in every day for a week and not be disappointed.

We had dinner here during our hotel stay and the service was absolutely fantastic. The staff were so friendly and courteous. I had a soup to start which really tasted so fresh and homemade while my partner had fish cakes which were divine. For mains we both had the fish with bisque and the flavours were so complimentary. the samphire on top really complimented the whole dish. To finish I just had some fresh fruit platter and my partner had the cheese board and he left with some new favourites.

Steak. Easy to get wrong - and so many people do. Easy also to get it right, which fewer do. This was the best sirloin I've possibly had ever. It was simple. Rare. Well seasoned. Rested. The fat was perfect. No gristle. Beautiful salad (i opted for salad over chips/fries). AND, Hallelujah - oil, balsamic, fresh black pepper and sea salt. Wonderful. Oh, and the kids food and my wife's food was also beautiful. And the knife was sharp! top marks Chef!!!!

Stopped here for coffee, we had intended on having lunch but there seemed to be a very depressing atmosphere in the hotel and the manager looked at us with disdain. On asking where we could eat ( we had our little dog with us) we were shown the rather dreary "dog lounge" and told they could set up a table there, we would have been on our own and for a hotel who advertise as being dog friendly we found this very restrictive. The hotel was deserted except for one couple having lunch and we had coffee.....outside.When we asked about the cake of the day no-one seemed to know and one member of staff was obviously in a bad mood and said "don't know" without even looking up from his paperwork.Later we asked about the coastal walk to Polurrian cove again no-one in the hotel knew where the path commenced!? We eventually walked 50 yards to the side of the hotel and found the path.Reading other reviews we really wonder if we landed in another hotel...

Have a takeaway fish and chips most weeks. Opened the box to find a ridiculous fish portion, thought that we had been given a childs size,it was so small, hake was 10 pounds and cod 7,with chips and peas came to best part of 30 pounds. Shame but at that price ,you would expect a half decent fish, won't be ordering again

Sorry to say that these were objectively the worst poke bowls I’ve ever had. The rice was criminallyyyyy overcooked oh my goddd!!!!!! I can’t recommend the mushroom poke bowl at all ( but there wasn’t any choice because they had no chicken and no tuna), as the flavours of pineapple, coleslaw and shiitake mushrooms do notttt go. They said food was slow at the beginning of the night but it really wasn’t that busy- not busy enough at all for the quality of that rice😔😔😔. £17 for a no- meat poke with inedible rice and bad flavour. All I ate was the melon and edamame. Can’t recommend at all.

We were on holiday for a week but my husband and myself ate here twice. We were served by Izzy and Indie who were a credit to the restaurant, lovely ladies. Our meal was lovely. Shout out to Max, who was the chef who cooked our meal. I must say that the in house made bread is fantastic. My husband said it was the best bread he had ever tasted! The foccacia style bread was a refreshing change from the sourdough you seem to be given everywhere. It's a small restaurant with great food and great views so make sure you book if you want to dine here. Thanks for a lovely evening x
