Lizard Shellfish in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

We wanted a lunch and our usual place was packed so tried here and were not a bit disappointed. My husband had the best crab salad/sandwich he has ever had. Will be back in Spring 2025

Amazing crab sandwich’s and a great place to stop and enjoy the seafood on offer. Friendly staff and a hidden gem that if you like your crab you won’t be disappointed. A revisit on the cards for next year.

A very informal restaurant outside the Witchball pub, (which doesn’t serve food.) They are happy to serve you in the pub garden. Or sit out on their small patio . We went for the 1/2 fresh lobster with garlic butter, a small salad and chips at £26.00. It didn’t disappoint!! Perfectly cooked (served cold) and great chips. Got some white wine from the pub to go with it. The food served to other diners around us looked equally good….crab loaded fries, goan fish curry, calamari.

I live in the village and this was my first visit. Friendly staff. Great menu, I decided on fully loaded salt and pepper squid (came with a mountain of fries and lovely fresh salad). I am now going to work my way through their menu over the next few weeks. Conveniently situated near the village green and next to the Witchball pub (the most southerly pub in the UK). Delicious Sunday evening meal. No photos sorry, I finished it before the thought crossed my mind.

An absolute hidden gem, didn’t expect to find in Lizard. We were having a drink in the nearby pub and the amazing smells from the restaurant enticed us in. We were not disappointed. Delicious food, definitely returning 😋

Amazing fresh seafood I had lobster salad and chips it was delicious. I will be returning many times before my holiday ends. I was in seafood heaven so fresh and a great selection on the menu. The prices are very reasonable for such quality seafood. This place is a must for shell fish lovers.

Awesome! Family run business. A real credit to the local area, shell fish caught on the door step and sold directly in the small shop. I have visited many times now and have been very impressed. Really liked the crab sandwiches and the special fish curry that is available in the evening. No middle men involved here, so you are getting top notch shell fish at a reasonable price. This sums up the lizard, there are many small local businesses and I will definitely be returning soon. Cornwall at its finest.

We recently stopped by this small fish restaurant whilst staying at the Caerthillian B&B just down the road from here. We were so pleased to have come across this. The whole ambience was so friendly, chatting with the locals whilst we enjoyed our very tasty seafood salad. Thank you to all the staff and the locals for an enjoyable hour or so. Purchased a large (takeaway) cooked crab. To be honest it was late in the day and the price was much cheaper than expected. However the crab had NO brown meat whatsoever - just sludge! The small amount of white meat probably just about justifies the price paid and staff were very friendly. However we will not be returning

If you like lobster, crab, prawns - this place have their own boat at the cove, catch off the Lizard point and sell their catch to eat there or takeaway. A nice glass of chilled white wine and a fresh crab salad is hard to beat. The prices? They are very very reasonable.

We bought a whole King Crab to eat at home. Really fresh, and we enjoyed crab salad, with both white and brown crab meat and a little lemon and olive oil. If you can put in the work to extract the crab meat youself, it's great value. Alternatively, just buy a dressed crab or a crab sandwich. All equally tasty. @LizardShellfish is a great addition to the village. #lizardshellfish

I live in local and was so excited to see we have a fresh fish shop. I have never been a fish eater (I know I live in Cornwall!!) but wanted to start trying different 🐟. I got some Hake the other day and it was beautiful - so fresh - and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Fab shop, helpful staff and amazing fresh fish.

Freshly made while you wait crab and lobster menu. A friend and I both had the crab sandwiches. Sizeable portions with salad and crisps. Good value for money.
