The best restaurants serving Default food in Mount Hawke and Portreath Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

I have used Seasmiths, in Wadebridge for a couple of years. Normally the best fish and chips ever! Unfortunately, recently I have noticed that the batter on the fish has tasted very floury! Very disappointing.

Um was ok but didn't seem as spick and span as normal staff were very nice

Lovely food and excellent customer service. The food was a really decent portion and a reasonable price. The lady that served us was really friendly and efficient. We will definately be returning. Thank you.

St George's day special. Sausage and mash. Cheese and biscuits followed by nice cake and a few beers. Spot on.

Turned up today only to find not open till 4.30!!! That’s how they treat locals, and no advance notice the day before!!! Shocking , I feel sorry for those who pay to stay there, used to be excellent but not for the past year

£13 for two pints is a bit of a rip off!

Lovely large portions as usual! I always have the Fish fries with chips and salad, and I managed all 3 courses! However, the Service was not there , no one came to ask us how everything was. With myself working in Luxury Hospitality it is very important to check to see if customers would like to order anything else or ask for sauces/cutlery etc…. Because this can also give opportunities to increase service revenue for the business and make everyone feel special and welcomed . I will be returning before I go back to work as it will be the last meal I will have in that lovely building.

Sadly, in our opinion, the Basset Arms has gone downhill. The roast was not good, it took an age to get to us, the vegetables arrived a good 5 minutes after the main plates, the cauliflower/broccoli cheese was very crusty, the roast potatoes were like leather, the chicken portions were very small and the service was poor. It was very disappointing!

Great locals pub doing super food, on my visit they had a great band playing as well. Beds were too soft for me

One pint of Sea Fury bitter, medium glass red wine and a small (and I mean small) dish of chips £17.00. Absolute rip off. Never again

We are on holiday in Redruth … phoned to order a delivery on Saturday evening… man on phone was so polite and friendly … took order and within 20 mins received a call froma lovely lady who was bringing us the food and was on the way . Food was so fresh and hot and so good !! Great value for money and will deffo be using the Tung Sing again !!! Love this place and excellent service and food !!! Thank you …
