Wow! What an absolute treat! It was super easy to order online and click and collect later that day. The fish was beautifully battered and the chips were cooked perfectly. I’d say this was our fave meal of the holiday! I love the whole ethos of the company, I wish you all the best of luck with this incredible business!

I’m baffled by the negative comments on here. These are genuinely the best fish and chips I have ever had anywhere, and the service was great. The portion of fish was huge, fresh and not swamped in too much batter, and the chips were super-crispy and soft and fluffy inside. Perfect. And next to the beach.

Took a chance on this restaurant as we’d heard good things locally and had the best fish and chips of my life. Prompt service by the smiling girls behind the till despite looking like they were pretty busy and only took about 15 mins for us to get our takeaway. Lovely light batter, thick juicy cod and was so surprised at the homemade sauces, which as sauce lovers was gorg! Chips were super crispy and yum too. Nice touch of a good chunk of lemon for squeezing over the top of the fish - we all agreed those little touches really make a difference. Had a look as we waited in their restaurant and was surprised at how nice it all looks inside, will deffo be back to sit down another time.

This place has certainly changed from being good to bad unfortunately. When they first opened the chips were cooked to perfection. Crispy, light and golden. The cod batter was crispy and and good. We had cod , chips and mushy peas last night. It was a mess . The chips were white , soggy and all stuck together. The fish batter was soggy to . 2 cod , chips and 2 peas and 1 curry sauce £33.00 . Come on we expect better. Just remember we are your local trade in the winter. If you can’t get it right now, then we won’t support a local business.

We turned up to purchase fish and chips tonight for a family evening meal. We waited at the front of the counter for over 10 minutes, the staff busy but nobody even acknowledged us once, they just carried on boxing up orders. £12.50 for a large cod and chips but the portions were very small. Eventually someone acknowledged us and advised that they weren't accepting any more orders right now but we could always come back in 20 minutes and they "might" be able to take our order. We declined to do this and walked away, taking with us a large potential order for 6 adults and 2 kids. If they had told us about the delays with ordering 10 minutes prior instead of ignoring us I could accept this situation to a point but they didn't. It was really poor customer service and we won't be going back. As we were waiting we noticed that the room in the back of the shop resembled a garage and looked dirty. I can't help feeling that we had a lucky escape.

Gluten free fish and chips were very good! Portion could be bigger. Great place for a takeaway chippy if you have a gluten free member in the family! You have to pre book, go on the website to book! Then collect head to the beach and enjoy!

It was excellent food with great service and really good value for money. A very interesting menu with really good variety of choice.

We visited and wanted 2x sausage and chips but they don’t offer sausages (???), so we ended up ordering 2 portions of chips and curry sauce. We waited about 30 minutes for these portions. The chips were nice enough, but they don’t offer usual fish and chip shop curry sauce and it tasted more like gravy to me. It was very costly too and not nearly in comparison with the other local fish & chip shops. Overall the menu is limited and very expensive.. I suppose that’s what you get with a Tory as the owner.

We live in Wadebridge and wanted to try this place as whenever we walk past it people are always in there. We weren’t disappointed! The food was lovely, best home made tartare sauce we’ve ever had and the katsu curry was delicious! We will definitely be returning soon. I would like to make one small criticism, the drinks came out after our food. I prefer to have my drinks there before our food.

Tasty fish and chips. We all found the fish to be fantastic. I think they just need to watch the quality control as 2 of the group has fantastic chips whereas the other two predominantly had scraps. They also missed the mushy peas so check your order before leaving!

We visited the Wadebridge shop. Chose to eat in..we were the there for opening at 12pm Ordered with 5 mins. After 40 minutes, our food arrived and was given to the wrong table. We asked for a takeaway service at this point as our car park was due to expire. No apologies from the staff. The lady who appeared to be the manager on Duty never spoke! Appalling service and wait times. If you open for 12...your food should be ready within minutes...you would never have coped with a bus dull of take away today. Terrible waiting times.

We nearly did not go to this place after reading the last few reviews, but I am glad we persisted. After arriving from London we pre-booked and collected within an hour, the food was ready in time, friendly service , generous portions. Chips were some of the best we've had and the fish was well cooked and fresh. Would definitely recommend.

We had family staying with us. They wanted to try the award winning Porthtowan Fish & Chips. We popped down on a couple of occasions, but was greeted with a sold-out sign. So we decided to order on-line. Very limited menu and expensive. We arrived at our allocated time but still had a long wait. Whilst waiting we noticed the 'Sold-Out' sign again!! How can you be sold out every night? Or do they use this to deter those who haven't pre-ordered? We also noticed the very blunt (almost rude) way that they spoke to other customers, especially those who hadn't pre-ordered. They didn't seem particularly busy, even had time to stand outside drinking and smoking. Not a very professional image! So a big fat zero for customer service!! Now for the food. As I said a very limited menu and expensive. Unfortunately the food was not good either. Tiny portions - nothing like the photos on the website and the fish had a very strong smell, which put me off mine completely. Curry sauce was good 👍. A very disappointing evening. We will be sticking to our usual 'non award winning' chippy from now on.

Not tried this place recently. I used to buy regularly when they opened a few years ago, but put off by the pre ordering system. I was told that they now accommodate walk-ins so decided to give them a go. Only to be told that they had sold outof everything!! I Finally got to try some last night and I have to say l was very disappointed. Apart from being expensive, the portion was small and chips were anaemic. We tried to phone to complain but no answer. As a local I'm very dissapointed. Seasmiths offered good food and a friendly service when they first opened. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about them now. Maybe the owners are more interested in pursuing their other careers? Certainly won't be getting my vote or business again.

Extremely poor customer service where the lady serving was unable to discuss availability of fish (massive sign saying “sold out”). A man then told us we should order online and that is the way this business operates. We ordered online and went to collect our food (haddock and chip). Paid 11.50 for haddock and chips which had hair and an eye lash in it. Seriously horrible. The chips which we bought separately so oily, could not be eaten. The fish had a strong fish odour which we know means the fish is no longer fresh. Will not return and would like a refund out of principle as food inedible and staff service poor to boot. Very sad after a lovely day.
