We (myself, my husband, our teenage daughter and dog) walked in on a midweek evening to find the downstairs bar full of older men, mostly sat around the bar so no one else could get near it. The smell of body odour in there was horrendous. The bar man didn't acknowledge us at all, just carried on chatting to the men sat at the bar, not actually serving anyone. We stood as near to the bar as we could get for a while but still no acknowledgement from the bar man so we thought we would try the other advertised upstairs bar, only to find this was shut. We came back down the stairs, tried one last time to get any sort of acknowledgement from the bar man, but still nothing, so we left. There was a very uncomfortable atmosphere in The Deck and I wouldn't recommend it at all for families on holiday after our experience there.

Teenagers or any children are not allowed in after 10.00 was originally told just fri and sat nights but it seems to be every night a party of 10 people turned away because we had 2 15 year olds in the group doesn’t make great business sense to me

Lovely casual bar. They don't serve food, but they do let you bring your own in & will provide plates etc for you to use. We went in a couple of times over the course of our holiday & a few times last year as well. Every time we've been in the staff have been friendly & welcoming. They have a great choice of beers, ales, spirits & wines. The outside decking is lovely for sitting out on & watching the world go by. Will definitely return.

The deck don't do food but there partner pub across the way from them, The Tywarnhayle does and it's amazing. Back to the Deck....such a lovely place , welcoming,friendly and fun. We came on holiday just up the road to Liskey Hill, about a ten min walk from caravan and came here most nights. Loved the karaoke, joined in got made to feel like part of the family. Cocktails are sooo good. Drinks are very reasonably priced. Downstairs is more of a drinks/sports bar and upstairs is more quieter and where they hold nights like karaoke etc (booking in advance needed for these). A small patio balcony area also for those warm summer evenings too. Will definitely come back when next on holibobs.

Nice little bar, drinks were nice and chilled and prices okay. There is a pool table and seating is on two levels. Toilets were okay but were useable. Staff friendly and welcoming would recommend for a few drinks. 👍

Great choice of drinks and all reasonably priced. All in all the atmosphere was nice and the staff were friendly. The only issue we had was that karaoke was booking only. However, when advertised, it doesn't say you need to book. Many of the locals headed straight upstairs to karaoke as though they were booked in. This makes me think it's a regular thing and it seems strange to not advertise that you have to book. We love karaoke, and we were very disappointed that we couldn't join in with what sounded like a lot of fun!

Great place! We stopped in for a drink, had a lovely atmosphere, the pornstar martini was delicious and drinks are well priced! They do not serve food, but the bar tender was super helpful in recommending good local places to eat and they are happy for you to bring any food into the bar with you! Can’t understand the bad reviews at all, will definitely be visiting again next time we are in Perranporth!

As per other reviews, clinical, cold environment. Kids running the play e with absolutely no idea.. Food was poor to the level of being partially refunded. Never again.

This place is great. Get a take out and eat it while drinking your favourite pint. Good dogs welcome. Fab atmosphere and the manager is a really nice bloke. Go there.

Great little bar with pool table and live music/ karaoke. Big screen TV and sofas upstairs along with a balcony to sit and catch the last rays of sun 🌞 as with many places in Perranporth, dog friendly too which is great 👍

What a lovely place to visit. Loved the music, liked it upstairs on the leather settees, nice balcony upstairs too. We watched the local fireworks going off, dog friendly, good selection of beers and cocktails. Central to everywhere.

Friendly helpful staff, great food - epic ribs! Took us a little while to find but once we were there it was worth it!

In Perranporth for a week in October. Quite frankly after a while I was getting a bit worn out with Apps and lack of human interaction. I must stress that Im not complaining, this is life saving stuff, but the COVID world does not make for great holiday vibes.The Deck however was great! Very COVID compliant, sanitisor on entry, masks worn etc. But so great was that because the Deck is so small, and thanks to the very attentive staff, it was possible to order drinks from your table, pay by tab and have as relativly normal bar experience as is possible in these challenging times.Whats not to like about that? Plus decent ale, surf videos and music. Loved it, found ourselves in there most nights of our holiday. Thanks guys.

During the summer I went to the deck a number if times, staff always friendly, beer is always good too.

By far the best pub in Perranporth. Fantastic choice of lager, cider and gin. They make you feel so welcome when you're in there. I can't wait to go back again soon.

We arrived in Perranporth a few days ago and liked the look of the deck inn and kept saying “we will go in here”. We went in today and my god what a rude young girl working behind the bar. We said hello how are you she said “yep” with no smile and just glared we us, not very appealing and made us feel on edge. When we asked “do you do cocktails” she again just glared at us and said “yep”. It’s as if she didn’t want to be at work or serve us. We left without a drink or food as we’re on holiday to enjoy and lots of other bars around the area made us feel welcome.

The Deck is a focal point of Perranporth street. It has a decent selection of beers on offer. The clientele is of a younger nature, but being a bit older we did not feel out of place, in fact they made us feel very welcome. No food is served at the bar, but they are very happy to let you bring food in from the many takeaways around, in fact they supply cutlery and condiments. A smashing place, will definitely return.

Drove down from Dorset specially to go to this pub Had one pint on the deck. With a great view Private party from six so was told had to go downstairs.no view. Why cant we just sit in there as well with the party? Beer £3,75 a pint. So went across to Wetherspoons no view £1.68 a pint. Boaring . Went back to the caravan How would you feel after driving 150 miles and telling your family that it was a great pub with a view.. Disappointed . It does not have to be like this.

We stopped by for a drink with our dog who was very welcome with water available. Drinks were reasonably priced, the atmosphere was good and it was very unusual to see that you can bring your own food to eat in the bar. They’ll even supply the cutlery etc. Never seen that before!

I have just been on holiday with my family down to Perranporth. This pub used to sell food but not anymore— but surprise, surprise the pubs upper floor supplies you with crockery, cutlery, and even condiments. If you want a take away or a chippy meal they even have menus for all the local ones. You can even sit on the balcony outside to eat your meal. Well behaved dogs and children are made welcome by the friendly staff. On our first night there we were greeted by Josh who was very helpful.

Good atmosphere. Friendly bar staff. Had music on a Saturday till 1. Drinks were usual price (if not a bit cheaper than the local bars) Definitely worth a visit if your in the area.

Great place with a little balcony ideal for having a drink and people watching on a nice day. Wednesday is karaoke night in the bar upstairs and it was very popular with a great atmosphere.

Lively pub with good choice of reasonably priced drinks. Does not serve food, but encourage you to bring food from elsewhere (lots of local takeaways) and eat it on the premises. Cutlery, napkins and condiments are all provided. This bar stays open later than most in the area.

OK pub on two levels. Easy to find as its a very bright orange/yellowish Little balcony on upper level usual prices for drinks.

Would definitely get 5/5 if they still did food, used to love the tapas there so this was really disappointing. However, as a pub it's definitely our first choice in Perranporth, especially on Thursdays when they have the Open Mic night, have seen some really talented local singers there.They have also stopped showing the sports (I think they have cancelled the subscription) which my husband was disappointed about so had to go somewhere else for that.

Awesome pub that is warm and friendly, and has no problem with dogs. They even supply bowls of water for them. They have a pool table, (free on Mondays) TV screens, and music. They also have open Mic nights on Thursdays which was brilliant. And a sheltered front porch for smokers. They don't serve food, but you can bring your own and they supply condiments and cutlery. Well worth a visit!

A beautiful place to go. Taken back 3000,000 year's and more importantly worthwhile seeing most go now before you die like me with Cancer. Regards Alan

Extraña mezcla de bar de vinos y el pub con una buena elección de los juegos de bar con una mezcla de intenciones jóvenes y viejos. Me gustaría volver otra vez sólo para disfrutar del ambiente relajado y observar a la gente!

Mi esposa y yo fuimos aquí mientras visitábamos Perranporth, y fue genial.Fuimos en un jueves por la noche, que estaba abierta la noche; y sólo tenía el micrófono genial y muy divertido de principio a fin.Ambiente increíble y es atendido por el personal feliz y divertido. La gente bebiendo aquí era tan acogedor, amable y hablador, un gran lugar, ¡me encantó!

Nos fuimos temprano en la noche para tener "cócteles en la terraza", que es un balcón en el piso a la vista de la mar. Los cócteles eran razonables, así como todas sus otras bebidas, y eran muy agradables. Tuve la mula la mermelada y mi amigo tenía el mono Tickler. El personal era muy agradable, servicial y amable, tanto que nos quedamos otra bebida y un plato de nachos, compartido que permanecía fresco hasta el final. casero delicioso salsa. Nos gustó tanto que volveremos antes de marcharnos a casa de nuestras vacaciones. Ojalá que vivió aquí, así que podíamos visitar más a menudo.

Lovely home made burgers, sides are really good value although the fries are a bit weird, overall very good and keep returning. They also have sky with the volume on and allow dogs inside a++
