The best restaurants serving Default food in Looe East Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

Ben’s Plaice has been recommended a couple of times by friends . The first time we went , it was just before closing and was served an over cooked piece of cod . The second time , our credit card was charged twice (£61 each time ) and Lisa the manager was extremely rude to us when we queried . Refused a refund and have to go back to discuss with Ben . We went back into the shop to get a fork only to hear Lisa bad mouthing my family . Unfortunately to make matters worse , my fish and chips wasn’t very good , chips were soggy and again the cod was over cooked . Ended up throwing mine in the bin

Lovely ice cream, shame about the rude, miserable staff! Would not return and would not recommend!

Sunday evening ordered Haddock and chips x 2 batter was dark brown where oil was old and and even the haddock had taken on a brown colour. chips under cooked. Would not go again.

Service and food was very good. No nonsense food and was also a good location. Staff very welcoming for families. Price was reasonable considering the lovely location

We stopped here after walking around Looe deciding where to eat and are so pleased we did. We sat outside as it was a nice day and the sun was shining right down on the front dining area. Ordered the open gyros and can easily say it was the best I have ever had! Only gutted it not closer to home for us. The staff were friendly and we stayed for a few drinks after.

Expensive for basic food. Had to request the crusty bread with Camembert (they gave sliced!!) Service not great, ladies toilets filthy.

Popped in for a coffee and a tea( £6.25) coffee was weak and cold tea tasted stale as though t bags were old. Floor was dirty tables sticky and smelled like they’d been wiped with a dirty cloth. Toilet (one cubicle) smells of urine, dirty unkept facilities, never again.

We went to Looe on a photoshoot , my wife is an artist , we were passing by Catch fish and chips 🍟 and decided to share a portion . Oh my days it was lush , the fish was huge and the chips were perfect . 10/10

Usually excellent order and delivery service. This evening I ordered a meal and was told delivery would be by 6.36pm. Its now 7.20pm,ive rung twice and been told the delivery person has left, but my meal still not arrived!

Awful never again Visiting Looe so we decided to give it a try , firstly the place is scruffy we were sat right outside the toilets the my Dad went to use them flush not working beer barrels stacked up in there , next to our table was some sort of storage place with a curtain held up with bits of gaffer tape the whole place needs revamped. Now the food madras curry sauce was like soup very watery tandoori chicken was small and a little undercooked in the middle, hard chips . Staff were not very welcoming constantly asking is everything ok just once is fine. The waiter brought our meals out and asked us do we want rabbit food with it IE salad very unprofessional. So in a word I would definitely not return the whole place was tired and dated scruffy staff need to practice some etiquette.

Bought thier pasties here twice on my weeks holiday. Very tasty and fab pastry. Had traditional and Lamb and Mint. Fantastic doughnuts too.
