Our third visit, and not our last. Perfect location overlooking the river, great ambience as was busy, and I liked the Greek music. My moussaka, and husband's stifado were both sublime! Made room for desert of Greek yoghurt, honey and figs - delicious! The wine was also amazing. Can't wait to come back 👌

Loved our lunch at Yamas. Had a variety of the little bites and then the Gyros's for main. The service was great and the food was even better! Would highly recommend. Plus the drinks were 10/10! Thank you.

Lovely location, and ambiance, I live locally so popped in to try it out. It was relatively quiet this close to the end of the season, but friendly staff, great menu and tasty food.

Fabulous meal on Yamas’s last night of the season. Food was delicious as always. We were also privileged to try some samples from Nicos new spring menu. All so tasty and OMG can’t wait to try the new creamy lemon pork dish, and this is from someone who usually would say pork was their least favourite meat. Clearly sent from the Greek gods themselves!!

We had a lovely evening at Yamas. Very helpful staff and beautiful food, everything felt like a lot of care had gone into it. We really enjoyed the cheese pies, lamb shank and beef cheeks. Excellent wine options too. Highly recommended.

Sunday lunch on my own on a grey day. ... BUT such a warm friendly welcome by the staff, clean beautiful surroundings and last but not least delicious freshly prepared hot food. I opted for the Sunday lunch of roast chicken, Yorkshire pudding and roasted mediterranean vegetables and it came with a side of cauliflower cheese. Not your traditional roast with roast potatoes etc but equally delicious. I had a glass of the house Rose wine, delightful. The restaurant is on the quayside, there are tables outside but being December not a possible option today. The atmosphere is delightful and relaxing. Eating great food, welcoming staff, comfortable surroundings with a view. What's not to love. Well worth a visit if you want to try some Mediterranean hospitality.

Another amazing meal from our favourite restaurant in Looe. Warm fluffy pitta with a choice of three delicious velvety dips to start. For mains I had moussaka and gigantes … OMG a slice of Greek heaven My husband had the beef cheek stifado and Greek roast potatoes, the beef just melted in a rich sauce. I would have loved to review the deserts but we were too full! The three lovely ladies working there were very attentive and always welcoming and polite Good luck Yamas with your new Sunday roast lunch with a Greek twist that starts today. We really look forward to trying this very soon!

Wandering around Looe on an October evening, we found this place by the harbour. Dogs are not allowed inside, but there are tables outside with a lovely view of the water. We only had a couple of drinks and snacks, but were so impressed we went back the next night too. Excellent Greek food, well prepared and served. Staff are pleasant, place is clean, food is lovely.

Well I was quick enough to write a review when I had a bad experience, so, this time it was faultless, wonderful service with helpful advice quantities and dishes, I had the beef cheeks which were lovely and more than enough, I could go on to tell you everything we had, but suffice to say everyone had more than enough and enjoyed their meal, very well done to all the staff and chefs, and thank you Yamas for giving us another ‘go to’ restaurant in Looe. The best Greek food we have ever eaten (including in Greece). Chef Nikos and his team produced amazing tasting food. Incredible value for money with no compromise on taste or quality. Hospitality was warm and sincere - typically Greek. Service was impeccable from friendly and efficient front of house team Nicola and Katie. Nothing was too much trouble. The wine list was excellent and at reasonable prices. Views and location first rate. Ambiance excellent except lighting slightly too bright and some candles/lights on the tables in the evening would have created the perfect mood. Overall just amazing. If you love food and eat anywhere in Cornwall you would be mad to miss here. As well travelled "foodies" we know a gem when we find it. Our only regret is we don't live closer or we'd eat here every month at least. Enjoy!!!

We’ve been to Yamas a few times. I have to say it’s the best food option in Looe that we have tried. The tapas selection is high quality food and the main meal selection are also fantastic. The selection of Greek wines need to be tried. Great staff and lovely relaxed dining experience. Will be going again and again 👍

Perfect for the evening sun. Plenty of tables inside and out (dog friendly outside) Large tables and plenty of space for the many dishes you will be ordering. Perfectly fluffy pitta/flatbread to accompany the amazing authentic Greek dips. We ordered the Chicken gyros , halloumi skepasti gyros which were both delicious. As was the Greek salad. The extensive greek wine menu was hard to choose paired perfectly with the meal.

The decor and inside look great and the location is perfect. Service was good but overall our food was missing some flavour. We had starters/sharers including the special of beef meatballs which had some flavour but weren't fully cooked. Of our mains one had a pork gyro which they said was good but two of us had chicken Souvlaki with orgenao fries and both felt it was lacking flavour including seasoning.

Wow. The service, the food and the place was outstanding. The staff are extremely busy, but still give a professional, courtesy and excellent service. You need to book to get a table inside, it’s well worth the effort.

So disappointed. Haven’t been for a few years and was so looking forward to celebrating my 80 th, but it was not a patch on previous years experience. Our table was in the dull and bland extension area, no atmosphere though the view was good. The food was an overcooked, lthick slice of shoulder of lamb that looked as if it had come out of a tin, served with weird blobs of tasteless garnish, asparagus spears that had been decorated with what appeared be piped black and white chocolate , why? A side dish of food blender mash and overcooked cabbage. Cost a small fortune. Service was ok, but lacked the panache or style that we remembered.

Very gimmicky, with high prices for ok food. Except the £10 pizza my son had which was a bought in plain oven 'pizza' which was disgusting - borderline inedible, and I don't say that in a snobbish way There is no way that the people deciding on the menu have tried that pizza- the staff admitted they'd had complaints before about it and passed them to management.

I came here with my friends last week and was extremely disappointed with our experience. At such high prices, there should not be dirty mugs and cutlery, the scones shouldn't be flourery and dry, and the coffee was burnt and undrinkable. We are uni students and paying so much for these items we expected better quality.
