Cheeky night away for 33 year anniversary everything was perfect but the steak and the so called pepper corn source. I questioned it 3 times with the waitress as I am a chef. Turned up brown tasted of bisto gravy with 3 peppercorns in it. Tasted absolutely disgusting. She then came back and said the chef made it out of the steak juices. REALLY. This totally spoilt it for husband , steak was not the best very chewy not worth the money. We were drinking same wine and beer throughout the evening paying cash. £15.05 THEN randomly charged a extra 20p several times why ?Seating area outside our garden room 10 was filthy 2x chairs and 1 table. Cobwebs in the curtains. Nothing special about the view . Dinner was overpriced for what arrived on the plates staff lovely. Location perfect .

Fabulous, never disappointing. Accidentally, ordered from the restaurant this evening, but it wasn't a problem. It was picked up and brought to me at Maliks Express. Apparently, lots of people make this mistake particularly on Friday and Saturdays.

Friday night supper. Apart from a loud greeting by a drunk customer upon entering, a very pleasant experience. Good choice of menus and wine/drinks. Service was efficient and personal. Thursday lunch not such a great experience. Limited and not enticing set menu (£8 supplement for lamb?!) but one of the dishes was unavailable after we both ordered it so chose off a la carte. One hour later two cod dishes arrived ...delicious but small portions. Yoghurt parfait ordered for dessert was still frozen after yet another wait. Our bill was reduced due to the above but would have preferred a better experience and paid full price! Doubt a return visit will happen as competitive restaurants better at the prices charged.

Just visiting the area and picked this of the many local hostels in the area. Fantastic food ! We both had fish for mains (hake and gurnard) and they were cooked to perfection. Service was great and overall it’s a lovely place to eat

Great place, we like it here it’s just nice to come to a lovely laid out garden centre which has a variety of all sorts good prices too But we love the cafe/restaurant never had a bad meal always been very good, coffee great too It’s a busy little place friendly staff plenty of room to park always a joy to go

We had dinner here - they have a Japanese menu - the steamed buns, katsu curry and gyozas were amazing!! Also very dog friendly. Wonder if they do take out...

We love this restaurant, but have not been since last December as the set lunch menu hasn't changed. We are regular customers, but having had this menu twice, we won't return until it's changes. We phoned to ask when this would happen, and were told April, but sadly nothing has changed. We enquired again this week and this time we were told it would change in May or June. The menu used to change regularly, but for some reason this isn't happening. What a shame.

The service was amazing...... Alice was a fantastic waitress. Unfortunately, the lamb was inedible due to it being mostly fat, and I really didn't appreciate the 12.5% service charge being added to the bill. I really was more than happy to tip Alice (more than 12.5%) but to have it demanded via a service charge on the final bill is in poor taste. Such a shame as we have just moved to the village and were so enthusiastic about this place until the food arrived. Please...... let me tip, rather than you just adding it to the bill. So rude

Starter was calamari was dry and looked like a brake brothers company When paying good money for food then it would be nice if it’s as made in house Fish and chips was not great More fish on a take away They did offer a replacement dinner But was too hungry and miffed to accept

We came for breakfast from the city to see the nature and enjoy a nice meal , but unfortunately our breakfast was over priced for the whole breakfast although we only wanted from the cooked meal (avocado on toast & fried egg) and the food so average and , we wanted to stay by the river side outdoor and they told us that it was under renovation. I thought that we could do some certain activities but there were nobody to guide us . The only nice thing was the nature.
