Sanctum on The Green Hotel in Windsor and Maidenhead

Cheeky night away for 33 year anniversary everything was perfect but the steak and the so called pepper corn source. I questioned it 3 times with the waitress as I am a chef. Turned up brown tasted of bisto gravy with 3 peppercorns in it. Tasted absolutely disgusting. She then came back and said the chef made it out of the steak juices. REALLY. This totally spoilt it for husband , steak was not the best very chewy not worth the money. We were drinking same wine and beer throughout the evening paying cash. £15.05 THEN randomly charged a extra 20p several times why ?Seating area outside our garden room 10 was filthy 2x chairs and 1 table. Cobwebs in the curtains. Nothing special about the view . Dinner was overpriced for what arrived on the plates staff lovely. Location perfect .

Will never book here again My mum passed away suddenly and I had a week of travel planned. All other hotels were gracious and offered immediate refund or choice of reschedule no matter what the policy. This was the only one who didn’t. Shame on you.

Food is of the HIGHEST quality! Fantastic flavors and a truly sensational dining experience every time. Michelin star experience at an affordable price and leaves nothing to be desired.

Wonderful place with amazing food. Great for weddings, or just to spend the night or come for a meal.

Excellent gastropub style food with a warm welcome. The duck main dish was excellent - very well-cooked and tasty. Service was friendly and timely. Food was slightly expensive but very good quality. There are lots of rock and pop memorabilia on the walls, gold discs and tour posters - Iron Maiden and Destiny’s Child alongside each other on the walls!

We really couldn’t fault our stay at this beautiful place. Half of me wants to keep it a secret so it’s always available for me! But seriously the room, the food, Becky our welcoming staff member and others made our overnight stay absolutely perfect. We will be back. Ps the chocolate brownie and ox cheek are to die for!

Stopped here for lunch. Beautiful sunny day, the pool looked great ~ they do an offer for 2 course lunch and 2 hours of pool and sun lounger use for £40 per person ~ if the weather is good it sounds like a good offer. We had mushrooms on toast in the courtyard. It was very good. Staff were great, very helpful. Good sized car park. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Horrible Experience and Unreliable Service I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this hotel. They charged me for a room that I never received, and Marco, the owner, failed to honor his promises. Despite calling numerous times and waiting for two months, I received no feedback regarding my payment. To make matters worse, the company has decided not to issue a refund, which is absolutely disgusting. I would not recommend this service to anyone. This is blatant theft, and I demand a refund of my money immediately.

Highly recommend . Great and friendly staff , good food . The heated pool is soooo good. Definitely will be back .

We had one of the best stays we’ve ever had here. The place was lovely anyway but all the staff there really made it special, especially Becky she always went above and beyond for us and made sure we were okay. The rooms are lovely and we had dinner there too which was really good food and drink. We will definitely be back again!

We just returned from a night here for my birthday that my husband surprised me with. What can I say it was wonderful from the moment we arrived. Staff are amazing especially beccy she was just amazing so kind, thoughtful, outgoing and down to earth. The food that we had was nice too. Our room! The bed was so comfortable, there was plenty of space, there is a fridge and a kettle, our bath omg we had the most amazing bath it was huge we both fit in with plenty of space it was lovely. 100% would go back.

Under new management since January, and WoW, what a difference! I think this might become a firm favourite again! Sensible prices, attentive and friendly service! Oh, and dog friendly too!!!

We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was here. We'd visited years ago, but hadn't returned for some reason. But we did and couldn't be happier. The menu had a great choice. It felt like pub fare, but just better. Slight twists and unusual ingredients to elevate dishes from good to great. For mains, my wife had venison and I went for a pork ribeye, of which both were sensational. As was everything else we ate. The service was fantastic. And the best bit, it was ridiculous value. Genuinely the best quality to value meal I've had in quite some time. Couldn't recommend it more and well done to the new management (and no, I don't work there and wasn't asked to write this!) 😁

On the positive, easy parking, good for Heathrow, spacious garden and very comfy bed with nice linen. But lots of negatives: Heating vent in the Berkshire Suite means you'll only get one minute of peace every 10 minutes through the night. Room wasn't very clean and bossy notices everywhere - don't do this; don't do that, etc. Decor is just a random mess (plastic flowers, moulded horse head, mismatches everywhere in, perhaps, a pale cheap imitation of the style of Soho House/The Pig). Very noisy wine fridge in the dining room. Building poorly maintained - daffodils growing out of gutters, ridge tiles missing, fences broken. We were there on a Saturday night and there was no drinkers in the associated pub at all. It's the vanity project of the manager of a rock group (Iron Maiden) and now poorly kept and poorly run. We won't be returning.
