Very friendly service, good menu choice, excellent food and wine. Modern, tasteful decor. Reasonably priced for quality and standard. Refreshing change from usual Newbury restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. Strongly recommend the steak sandwich and the croque monsieur. Make sure you’re hungry!! We’ll definitely be going back!!

The staff here are what make this place special and one we return to again and again. There is a very warm and comfortable seating arrangement downstairs. The pepper steak and traditional pasties are delicious and we enjoy their coffee too. Thank you!

Very kindly provided us with a cup of tea despite the fact that they were looking to close up at lunchtime. This is a small but very nice quiet place to relax and browse.

If you are looking for an Indian takeaway, this is the place! The quality of the food is really good. The portions are decent, and tasty! As an added bonus, have a great choice of dishes with Amrita's warm hospitality. You should definitely try tandoori chicken, butter chicken and rajma chawal if you are unsure what to try. I have been visiting Taste of India for 2 years now.

This is a great food spot, I highly recommend. Really great food, been here a few times now and it never disappoints. Didn’t have to wait for table they sat us down straight away.

The best!!! Still sat in the restaurant with our friends and writing this review together as we are so impressed!!! We’re regular curry goers, and my other half doesn’t say ‘great’ very often!! The best curry I’ve had in years and the others agree. Can’t recommend enough. When ordering you say the heat level that you want :). We’ll be back, maybe tomorrow if I get a say!!

A wonderful and friendly pub and great music

Best kebab in Newbury, always friendly service and a good meal. Always delicious after a few beers but it's one of the few kebab shops that im sure would be just as appealing sober. Nice and clean they always look after you

First class Lamb Shank and Pork Belly…..just first class, thank you chef……you must try these dishes.!

Lovely old building, very comfy bed. Large room and bathroom with amazing shower. Meals were so good and lots of variety, great location too.

The person who took my order was so friendly and helpful, especially when it came to making sure my allergies were accommodated. They took the time to double-check everything and made me feel totally at ease. The food was perfect. Everything was packed well, arrived hot, and tasted like it had just come out of the kitchen. You can tell they care about quality—even for delivery orders. Full of flavor, great portions, and honestly just hit the spot. Service was great from start to finish. Friendly, thoughtful, and totally professional. I’ll 100% be ordering again.

This pub is a really wonderful place. Really great people behind the bar and a great community feel. Lots of good live music too, which is always appreciated. I've spent many very enjoyable evenings here and I only regret that I didn't appreciate it more when I lived nearer!

Loved our visit to The Curry Cave in Newbury. Had no expectations as we were from out of town, but what a little gem. intimate dining with lovely staff. The food is excellent with lots of their own suggestions which I happily stepped out of my usual curry choice and I was not disapointed. I would suggest booking as it was busy on a Saturday evening.
