Wasn’t the best this time, chicken kebab meat had a lot of fatty skin left on it and the order wasnt correct hopefully just a one off but very off putting

the kebab was cold and the chicken tasted like it was made few days ago. Donner tastes like nothing.. I'm munching on leather... that's money wasted

Just called the 2nd time, I hesitated for a minute about what I wanted to order, the dickhead said, call me back when you've made your mind up! I'm busy!! If you want friendly service, don't call this place!

Very tasty, well-seasoned chicken doner. Large was £10.50 and enough for two. Generous, fresh salad, sauces and a fluffy pita. Guys were friendly. Open late. A new go-to now working in Newbury.

Awful soggy chips curry sauce should have been in pot no flavour and lumps … meat looked like off cuts

Food took ages to arrive & it was cold when it did finally arrive. The doner kebab is grainy and cut too thick & the chilli sauce is like orange coloured water. Won’t be ordering from here again

The chips were covered all over with gravy making them really soggy!!! The gravy was really salty and cold by the time it arrived. The gravy would have been better in a separate pot so the right amount could have been added to the chips. Everything else was fine!

So my last experience buying a kebab from the van in newbury wasn’t great at all asked for a mixed Kebab went home and it was a doner only. Staff just don’t listen to you, So I thought I would give them a second chance well that was a waste of a tenner!!! Went to get a mixed kebab I had to say mixed twice I’ve come home and it’s shocking it’s got to be the worst kebab I have ever had it tastes vile the doner meat is tasting not right at all, salad 2 mouthfuls No peppers the sauce was placed onto the salad I asked for extra didn’t get any I will not be returning I have just seen your reply so will edit, What you have said makes me feel disgusted. You have served me from this Van yourself many times, complete disbelief, 2 company’s in newbury called GHassan’s not even a mile apart and you trying make out they are not the same company. This is wrong of you

Don't think i've had a worse kebab. Which is a shame these guys are usually good. Chips were undercooked and bland. Kebab meat was flavourless and boring. Service as alway were great but food itself was not good.

Nice food, just a shame they done actually open when it says they do online. Says open outside the shop but door is locked and no one there so often have to go elsewhere

Staff are good lads but the food isn’t good, burger tasted funny and had a red/pink colour on the inside, cheesy chips were microwaved to melt the cheese which obviously ruined it. Overpriced for what I had aswell £13 for a burger and chips and can of drink, shame cause as I say the workers are good people

Really yummy doner kebab, great prices, and so friendly!

I had a Chicken Shish Kebab, with all the salad and garlic mayo. The marinated chicken was really tasty (spicy) which I loved and the salad was fresh and tasty. A difference I'd not come across before was the extra skewer with grilled tomato and pepper on it. The only downsides were that they had run out of chilli peppers with the salad and the hefty £12.50 price tag for a large chicken shish.

Their customer service is so pathetic I couldn’t believe it. It felt like he was on gunpoint to take my order like he was doing me a favour. Disgraceful! And my order was incomplete charged me for drink but didn’t bother giving it

If I could give less stars I would, our delivery turned up and there was a box of cheesy chips missing, one box didn’t have the right sauce, my burger was PINK AND NOT COOKED and the wrap was missing lettuce and they still charged me full price USLESS bunch of 🛎️🔚

First time in years but very tasty well prepared and cooked kebabs. Staff friendly and spotlessly clean from what I could see. I will be back.

Every time I order something is missing and wrong this time I ordered 2 medium Doner and 2 kofta one large and small they were Ok they’ve done better the doner smelled so disgusting so phoned to let them know not asking for a refund or anything and they were being so defensive not letting me talk.

So I went into this place after a night out, I wanted a cheesy chips which was £3.50 and then I decided I wanted donner meat on top, they then tried charging me £10 which I thought was absolutely disgusting. How can you charge an extra £6.50 to put donner meat on some chips. Absolute rip off this place. Better off going elsewhere. Pretty sure the pricing was cheaper (8.50) they just tried ripping us off as we had been drinking 👎🏼

Got to say that I went to ghassans van in the wharf in Newbury and and it is absolutely the best kebab meat I've ever tasted in my life and ever time I go there is the same!!! Ghassan himself was there and what a lovely super bloke and a pleasure to talk to while you're waiting for your kebab. If you don't go here ear and you'll never know what you're missing out on and believe me you are missing out .

Disappointed in Ghassans. Used to be great. Now gone hungry as ordered kebab with friends for dinner, took over an hour and a half to be delivered. No effort was made to contact us to explain anything. We tried to call them 45+ times over the course of an hour or so as wanted to change an order, but they would not pick up. Ended up leaving and then had a call from my friend to say the kebabs had finally been delivered but we didn’t want them anymore as had to go to bed as some of us have to start work at 6am. Absolute joke. Will not be ordering from Ghassans again and will be recommending people to go elsewhere for a Kebab. £65 wasted because of Ghassans poor service. I want my money back.

Recently tried this place, amazing lamb kofta packed full with herbs and spices. the real deal. The staff were really friendly and told me that this place had been in this Kurdish family for 38 years. Defs worth a visit, a proper gem!

We finally found the best traditional kebab restaurant after moving to Newbury 5 years ago. We haven't used anyone else since. The large Mix cannot be beaten with roasted onions and peppers. Middle Eastern kebabs at their finest.

Really let the standards slip tonight lads. Everything super greasy and wet. Don’t expect to have pips and cores of peppers and onions in my salad. Pitta bread was dripping wet even in my chicken shish. Lamb doner had thick grease leaking through the paper. Not usually this bad. For the prices you are charging you need to get this sorted out. Almost tempted to come back and ask for a refund. A once loyal customer, I won’t be coming back in a hurry for sure - gona be trying some of the other local kebabs now.

Almost perfect service , only need use gloves and change them when chef touch money etc ! I try almost all food in this shop , so I can say all food taste 😋 are good , not perfect... 😏 , and most of time when they are busy , they can add you some extra cost , so you have to ready and calculate your cost 😉 some time they forget to give changes 😄 😏 😜

Only giving 3 stars due to portion size. I ordered a large mixed shish and a small chicken doner and the chicken doner was twice the size of the large mixed which was twice the price and hardly had any meat in it. And very little salad. Also the large chips were tiny. Food tasted amazing but portions size let you down.

Always get great food at a great price here. Kebabs, chips, salad, halloumi, burgers all done well. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Reasonably priced, great tasting food. I have the mixed wrap (£7.50) with lettuce, mayo and chilli sauce. Really nice meat and wrap.
