Easy to get to, lots of decent parking. I visited the Southern Wool Show!

For anyone who has not experienced live horseracing, then Newbury racecourse is a superb starting point. The coarse has ample space to really enjoy your day. Staff are very helpful & experienced. Under 18 go free when accompanied by an adult.

A really nice setting for a great day out.

This was the first time I have been to this race track and was not disappointed even though I didn't pick any winners! I recommend going on the tour and seeing the start line and traps. I went on a Friday and wasn't so packed as a weekend, which I preferred.

A great day out, food & drink higher prices than the high street. If you like a flutter it's a great atmosphere, good choice of tic tac stands and tote services. Lots of security around for your safety. Prefer the Premier enclosure as not so busy as grandstand. Good well organised parking.

I went to Newbury Racecourse with some friends for a summer Race Day with a concert afterwards with Sigala. It was my first ever racing event, and I throughly enjoyed the experience (even though I lost all my bets!). The operation is slick, and they are well geared up to serving large numbers. There was over 10,000 visitors on the day we were there, but I didn’t wait more than a few minutes for any food, drink or toilets. The food and drink were priced as expected for an event, but I found that the quality of what I had was very good - the Pimms was great too! The atmosphere was fantastic, and the after event with Sigala was awesome. Overall, the whole day out was great fun, and gives you a good excuse to get a group of friends together to get dressed up!

A large racecourse with good views from anywhere. Plenty of outdoor seating and food available, as well as indoor facilities. Good for families, as there is plenty of room to run around!

Lots of food options, and bars. £7.20 for a pint is quite steep especially after paying for entry. But overall enjoyed my time there.

Great day, although we had a burger, it wasn't cooked fresh and when I tried to put sauce in it the cheese and roll were stuck together, there were no cooked onions which disappointed my other half. Not worth the money. We knew it would be expensive but thought the quality would be better! Loved our day though!

The Hong Kong Garden Performance Venue at Newbury Racecourse has opened and more Hong Kong singers will come to perform

Held a company event here and it was well worth it. Location is obviously impressive but also the staff were super friendly and helpful. Would definitely run another event there.

Went as a visitor to a corporate event. Nice location, easy to get to. Decent event room with good facilities.

We booked a table in the Berkshire Lounge excellent service and food .All staff from bar staff to security very pleased and helpful,will be going back.Train station is right next to the course which is great

Great day out for the whole family.

We always have a really good day at Newbury Races, and this time was no exception. We took our young baby and, to our delight, were informed by several friendly staff of a room for breastfeeding. This was so unexpected but appreciated massively. Well done!

Excellent conference centre. Except their heating is poor

Had a student event on the 2nd March on a raceday. 1/2 the venue was off limits. We had no idea and were asked to leave an indoor area because we had no wrist bands?... the area was practically empty. Freezing cold day and no where to sit indoors as all non-students had no where to go....so glad I didn't take my child as I would of had to of left it was so cold! Will be giving this a miss in the future.

Newbury is an amazing Racecourse. The facilities are great and the view of the course is good. A great place.

I like the environment and hospital ity

Two experiences of Newbury: 1. Decent day of racing in Premier hospitality that was unfortunately ruined by inept security and safety stewards, who insisted on 'be seated' rules during the Tom Jones gig, only for them to allow pissheads to completely ignore and spoil it for everyone. Then gave poor attitude when we questioned this. 2. Exceptional experience in the Hennessey which could not be faulted. Simply loved it. Staff, food and racing were all A1. Lovely racecourse overall!

Absolutely incredible day at Newbury races. The first time visiting and had the opportunity to spend the day in the hospitality suite.

We went on a super Saturday betfair day.... I don't know anything about horse racing but it seemed to be a big deal. There are 2 tiers of entry ticket with the more expensive one giving you access to the finish line paddock. Plenty of bars and food around, pricey but not extortionate. Service was quick, but I don't think the venue was that full. What is good is that the train station is almost part of the race course, so it's less than a minutes walk. We were lucky with weather, so for us it was a good day out.

Thanks to Sky VIP for the free tickets! Really nice course which has its own railway station (Newbury Racecourse). But it's in quite a remote location, so don't get there too early otherwise you will be walking around until opening time. The hotel next to the course (The Lodge) doesn't open to race goers on race days but there is a nice cafe on the other side of the railway bridge through an industrial park about 15 mins walk away.

I'm not into horse racing per se but having been invited a couple of times I must say I had a fabulous day with an owner and thought the whole place was run very well, good food which was outstanding and very friendly staff and attendees were genuine horse enthusiasts, hope I get invited again

Great day out. Very old course and buildings, so full of character. Friendly staff and didn't eat, but the food looked and smelled lovely in the little grandstand cafe/restaurant. Lots of stands and viewing areas, many under cover for a decent view in bad weather. Short walk into town with plenty of good bars and restaurants.

Beautiful racecourse with good views of the entire racetrack. Good facilities.

Cashless apart from the Bookies,don't take your own food it will be Confiscated, buy your tickets in advance as its cheaper!

Great day, caught the train, which was a good choice due to fog and ice.

Our friends have just bought a flat overlooking the course. Massive flats all alongside the course now. I don't think any were built when I actually attended a meeting years ago. I won a few quid that time.

Very enjoyable day and the Hennessy Hospitality package was excellent. Unfortunately, leaving the racecourse had it's problems which is difficult to resolve.

A great place for a day out. Plenty of parking. Visited in December, plenty of food and drink outlets indoors and outdoors. Carousel free for all. And there's even an after party. You don't have to bet on the horses but if you do know your limits.

Work conference. Had no choice but to be there. Using animals for gambling purposes is wrong in my eyes.

Great place to go if the trains are running alright.

Great day out. So much to choose from if you want to eat, from street food to fine dining, it’s all here. Well run security & lots of staff to help you navigate the large venue in safety. Plenty of bars and after party. If you’ve got time there are some horse races that may be of interest😉

Fabulous day at Newbury Racecourse - we had a table in The RaceGoers Restaurant. Great venue to watch the races from. It was initially cold in the room but warmed up as the day went on. Food was an interesting buffet. It was a little chaotic as everyone went for food but there were plenty of stations to get food from. Excellent service by the staff (Will waiting table, James managing the restaurant). Thank you. Hopeless betting!!

Very nice racecourse, plenty of places to eat and drink, the only downside of the day is the time to get out of the course bt car. But other than that we'll worth a visit.

Went for the vw event, slough swap meet very good.

Great place to go if you love your Racing, good Family day out

Lovely facilities and a good standard of racing, my big complaint is that due to the large size of the track this is possibly one of the worst courses for viewing the racing I have visited!Couple that with the fact that the giant screen is so far away from the grandstand it was almost impossible to pick your horse out until the closing stages!On the plus side the course did give concessions to senior citizens!All in all would probably return again.

It was nice and enjoyable with places to bet ,watch the race,eat,you could even see the horses really up close but the only downside was that the food was quite expensive and that it wasn't really kids friendly.

We went to the Hennessey Restaurant & the first 2 courses were amazing. The service for that was also great. However, refills of complimentary drinks were missing from the front row, despite being readily poured on others. The dessert & afternoon tea left a lot to be desired & I would definitely not advise. They need to employ an accomplished pastry chef, as well as the savoury specialist. The service should also be of the same level throughout. Wowed at first & disappointed by half way through the experience.

Went for the horse racing, and Olly Murs was a bonus for the ladies, but I have to say he was very good.

Lovely venue, loads of disabled parking. Toilets nice and clean!

For the amount of people that was there it was very well organised. The caterers and the bars etc. Very little wait time. Had a fantastic day at the races and we had 5 winners out of the 7 races.

Went to southern wool show here. Marvellous day out, everyone super helpful and very warm and welcoming.

Great day’s experience, absolutely packed. Highly recommend for a day out with your mates. Tons of parking, does take a while to leave at the end but expected. Helpful staff and a great time!

Good atmosphere, had a couple of nice days out. Great venue for concerts. Drinks prices tend ro vary depending what bar you go to. One bar I was charged £4.50 for two lemonades, another £10 so I think they should really review what they are charging customers.

A fairly busy day. Course looked lovely and good racing. It is such a big space, creativity needed from the management to get more folks in. Cashless bars, food and programmes does not help.

£6.50 a beer is fine and expected but £13 for a hot dog 🌭 you can kiss my a$$ Bloody rained all day too

Enjoyed my first race experience in Newbury. The atmosphere was amazing and also Olly Murs concert was excellent. Love the songs he sang! 💯😘

Easy entrance, good facilities and good day all round. Struggled getting put the carpark at the end though as it was a free for all.

Atmosphere was amazing. Went with my sister who is in a wheelchair. Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly.

Another great days racing. The grounds were well managed and kept in good order throughout the day, which was exceptionally busy. Long queues for the ladies toilets which could have been resolved by better signage as there were more outside that were not particularly well used. Oli Murs on after the racing and we paid extra for close proximity tickets. However because of the large crowd were unable to get into the reserved area. We weren't the only ones. Many others in this position, and on asking a member of staff were told to just push our way to the front. This was not a possibility and ended up with a very poor view. I would suggest that in the future for this type of event if requesting people to pay extra for tickets that an accessible entrance is provided. At 66 pushing my way through a crowd of young fans is not really an option. Overall an enjoyable day in great surroundings. Just a shame the after show was so poorly managed.

Brought tickets for a day out meet up with friends from local area, but they never came electronically? No good communication from office,email auto reply? phone for2 today's answer machine then someone spoke3days later was not impressed pick the tickets up at gate wasn't interested in the live performance? Then the time it got busy the area became a trip hazard little plastic cups jugs bags bottles of, Prosecco, the litter pickers were outnumbered by the rubbish them guy's deserved a medal, not a single bin in that main areana wow! Unbelievable should have give it 1 star , but the parking was free, toilets insufficient, the racing was excellent, the security gave reassurance of safety, with police officers and the weather was nice ☀️🌡️

Had a great day out. But if you are on crutches and it's a wet day the marble floors are incredibly slippery.

The Lodge, Newbury. Situated adjacent to the actual racecourse! A modern and comfortable hotel which we stayed at for three nights. Very helpful and friendly staff, excellent breakfasts and light meals which are served in a spacious and contemporary setting, outdoor area with seating also available. Bar open 24 hours. Rooms not large, but enormous and very comfortable beds, well equipped bathroom with waterfall shower. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would certainly return. The only downside was that the bedrooms were very hot, despite the window open and pedestal fan, it was quite oppressive. That's the British climate!

Lovely day.Beautiul Hennessy restaurant. Food let the side down though.
