The best restaurants serving Default food in Horsham South East

We’ve enjoyed this pub for the last five years or so, and the new owners are friendly and have done a lovely job with the refurbishment. However, we’re really disappointed with the food prices. This is a small village pub, not a gastro pub — yet we were charged £4.95 for the smallest bowl of chips, and £12 for a plate of nachos that didn’t even have any real cheese on them, just squeezy cheese sauce. To put it into perspective: most pubs in the area charge around £3–£4 for a decent portion of chips, and you can usually get fully loaded nachos with actual melted cheese, sour cream, guac and jalapeños for under £10 — even in larger chains. At this price point, you’d expect better quality and portion sizes. The menu now seems to mirror the Tipsy Fox, which has also become overpriced. It’s disheartening to see such steep price increases, especially as we’ve regularly supported your pubs, particularly in the warmer months. We completely understand that costs are rising for businesses, but the current mark-up feels excessive and risks driving loyal customers away.

Our club had a Christmas meal here, we were all impressed with the food, the friendly atmosphere and the location. There were 14 of us and we were looked after very well. A brilliant time was had by all and the food was second to none. My gratitude goes to the team that made our meal such a success.

First time ordering a takeaway, expecting good food judging by the reviews. Well we certainly weren't disappointed absolutely delicious food and very reasonably priced. Fresh crisp ingredients chefs who obviously take pride and really pack flavour. Not a single negative and full respect to you guys

I visit pret in Horsham on a regular basis and really enjoy my experiences there. The ladies in there are so welcoming especially Mihaela and Olivia who always go out of their way to make my visit comfortable. They always say hello and goodbye and always ask how my day is going. Very polite workers and will def carry on visiting

Our meal here yesterday was excellent . All 6 of us ate different things and all agreed top notch .I had steak pie , piping hot with delicious just of gravy. Bar staff very friendly and welcoming. It's obviously a locals pub , pool table being used and great music !!! Hats off to Chef , thanks for a great meal.

Great for breakfast,dinner ect,friendly helpful staff great food,good prices. I went with breafast no1,but swapped fried bread for toast!

We love truffles, our go to sandwich shop for baps, rolls and treats, they make a mean chicken mayo bap and the cakes are delish!! We had all sorts from there today for lunch and it was all perfect. Thanks ladies!!!

They don't take cash, unless you give exact change. I rounded up and paid cash. The decent barman actually tried to give me change but his colleague over ruled him - so I didn't get my change. It's a typical gastro pub - a restaurant in a former pub- same paint, same furniture, same lights you see everywhere.

Very pleasant pub with great beer and good food too. Staff were particularly great and despite a small issue with the food order they sorted it out so well that I will definitely be visiting again. Tangle foot beer was excellent and clearly well kept!

Look at website to get a better idea of the menu and price found out that the menu was very well priced and the portions are definitely value for money!! Mains are average £15 and the specials well worth a look!

Absolutely fantastic service, friendly welcoming staff and owners, food is top notch, the best jacket and chilli I have had since I was last in there about 8 months ago

As locals we have been to the White Horse on many occasions, so with friends on Saturday evening who decided, despite a late lunch elsewhere wanted food, we strolled into a very busy White Horse. As always we were greeted warmly by Steph and despite them being very busy in restaurant and bar, she kindly seated us, took our drinks & food orders. Cocktails took a little longer, but everything else arrived promptly and the food was hot, tasty and for our guests filled them up (finally)! Thanks Steph for putting us on "your table" and for your teams service

A good meal and drinks at silly low prices. How can Wetherspoons do it? Not the best atmosphere but what the heck.
