I used to come to the griddle all the time. Haven’t been for years, what has happened? over price for what it is, full breakfast was over done. Fried bread cooked in really burnt oil. Didn’t taste good at all will not be returning.

I ordered the sausage casserole and it was so untasty it had anemic sausages in a watery juice and no flavour..I said I could not eat it and was not very nice..They were good enough to give me my money back and ask me if I wanted something else for free. I said I will have a cheese and tomato omelette to which was OK. I Went to leave and they said the same girl said the manager said I would have to pay for the omelette ..I was so disgusted I had to walk out telling them it was discusting...Do not go there

Brilliant breakfasts, fantastic lunches, low prices, and friendly staff. I couldn't ask for more. We use it all the time when in Horsham. Beats The Ivy and the Savoy grill when you want a meal for a fiver rather than £120 a head.

I went to have breakfast, having not been here for a while. The Coffee tasted cheap and nasty and I couldn’t drink it. The food was greasy and awful, I took a couple of mouthful s and left it . The staff were friendly but I didn’t want the attention complaining would attract. I won’t be returning.

Good value meal, quick service and fresh tea. There’s only one marginally better in this area. It’s a bit “60’s cafe” but makes no pretence of being otherwise. Parking can be tedious

Went with my daughter and had a vegetarian breakfast. Food was ok, not amazing. We had of course limited vegetarian choices but more limited than I expected. My daughter had a halloumi breakfast which she did enjoy more than i did my beans, mushrooms and egg.

we came in with good intentions - friendly service and very clean cafe - but for 3 burley men the meals were very small in consideration. i love an omlette me but they didnt cook it too well, the handful of chips didnt really warrant the £6.10 i was charged. I will be back without a doubt, but wont be ordering an omlette.

It's the Roffey Griddle so what can you say. If you want an awesome, cooked, English breakfast without thinking about washing up then this is the place to go. It is a greasy spoon without too much chirpy. You get what you ask for with minimum fuss. I'd recommend the No.3 breakfast with a side of toast, washed down with a builders tea.

Its a caff and its a reasonable one, staff good, food acceptable, quick service, but its a bit too much of a 'rough around the edges' time warp especially in terms of customers, their occasional bad language, and general atmosphere. It serves a purpose for many people but its not for me anymore.

This used to be good for breakfast however now seems to have gone down hill staff more interested in their mobile telephones than acknowledging customers. Didn't see staff use gloves when preparing food not sure if it is the most hygienic place to eat. It was much better a few years back. Its still reasonably priced.

I have used this place for many years, and would have always reccomended to others.Today I went in, and despite having no customers I was not served or even spoken to. Two members of staff looked at me, then carried on with what they were doing. After about 5 minutes I left. I cannot recommend this place to anyone any more if 2 members of staff fail to even attempt to serve a solitary customer.

Coming from a cafe background I believe that I am a good judge of breakfasts. I ordered Egg Bacon sausage and beans, and two slices of bread. Whilst the breakfast looked ok, the sausages were basic supermarket ones, the bacon was fatty, the beans luke warm and the egg was a bit crispy around the edge. The bread appeared to be basic supermarket as well. It doesn't cost much to buy decent butchers sausages, bacon, and decent bread. How they can't get the beans hot is a mystery.Whilst this is a popular cafe it is nowhere near as good as other cafés in the area.

A good honest cafe, been consistent over many years. It's a traditional workman's cafe, but a wide range of people use it. You could end up sitting next to a mechanic or a magistrate(not kidding) I would not try and woo a filly here....unless she has scraped back hair, huge gold earrings, and wears leggings but really shouldn't....

I've eaten in the griddle a few times and it's great for what it is - a decent value fry up breakfast. It's not going to be the greatest quality food you'll ever eat but I've always found it quite tasty, the staff are friendly enough and I've never had hairs or grease in any of my meals (as previous reviewers have mentioned). As long as you go there with realistic expectations then I think you'll be fine.

We used to go regularly as a family for a nice Saturday fry-up. Used our loyality card for good standard greasy spoon breakfasts. But we will not go back as we do not appreciate hairs and nails with our chips. When we pointed out the long black hair with chips they did replace only to have more hairs with our other dish. Need to sort out the hygiene in the kitchen guys. Shame.

Had this dive of a cafe recommended to us by a family friend. It is old jaded smelly and dirty and thats before I start on the food. The breakfast on paper looks good value, that is until its put in front of you. I would say the griddle needs a good clean then maybe the bacon would be minus the black bits. Poor quality sausage, eggs just awful add the lukewarm beans and you begin to get the picture. We quietly complained and were told everyone else loved it. I guess its different strokes for different folks. This is a cafe on a parade of shops and even by todays standards most estate cafes have upped their game alas not this one it is stuck somewhere between the 70's and 80's. I will say the menu is quite comprehensive and cheap but it even that looked like a chinese takeaway menu gone wrong. We visited on a Friday morning and apart from one other we were the only customers so really it should have been perfect. We visit family on a regular basis in horsham one thing for sure we won't eat here again.

If you're in the horsham area, starving, and are looking for a quality full english then you have to get to Roffey Griddle. I look forward to going every time I go down there. We live about 1/2 mile from the Griddle and sometimes on a Sunday morning you feel like a cooked breakfast but you don't feel like cooking one so its ideal to pop down. Its basic, you get odd mugs of tea, the seats are vinyl but does what you'd expect: Its clean and it provides what we need. I wouldn't expect anyone to travel more than 3 miles for it.Don't expect gormet, but you ain't paying for it either!

Its cheap, tasty, quick and its clean, what more do you want for a breakfast place? theres no bells or whistles here, you order, get your food, eat and you go. For the price you will get the basic breakfast with the basic sausages, you wont get proper tescos finest sausages but its more like the tescos value type. I've been coming here for years when i lived in horsham and still now that Ive moved away, its still just as good. The extracter fan could do with a bit of a clean (or a new one?) though, as I do come out smelling like a chippy after..but this is a.small price to pay.

I had been told by a friend that this was the best place to get breakfast so I thought i's give it a try.I had the the big breakfast for £5.80 coffee not included but the quality of it is not great. The sausages were of the fish and chip shop variety with very little meat in them and the bacon was okay but still of the economy variety. The tomatoes were lacking in colour and the mushrooms didn't taste that great. It's your typical greasy spoon, very cheap-you know the story , it's made to be cheap and it is what it is but it's not a good quality breakfast, it's a good quantity breakfast.

I had a lovely Breakfast at the Roffey Griddle with my wife, the food was excellent and service was impeccable. The only downside was the bald man who was on a table next to me who found a hair in his beans, he kicked up a real stink and his breath was horrendous! To be fair to him though it couldn't of been one of his hairs because he didn't have any!!

I attended the griddle one Sunday morning after a night out with a few mates. We were greeted by the owner and they asked if we wanted a loyalty card. I knowingly obliged as from what I could see you would get discount off your seventh meal. When we sat down, I noted that the walls were covered in grease and I was basically stuck to my chair. When the food arrived, which I thought was very expensive for what you got, I noticed a huge black hair in my food. To me it looked like a pubic hair. At that moment I simply got up and left, no questions asked.

Nice enough pub, with a reasonable drinks selection and friendly staff. We visited for a family lunch (on recommendation) and the place is very geared up for food. However, the food is absolutely dreadful: over cooked, bland and (in the case of the bao buns that I had) inedibly dry. Seems very popular, for reasons unknown to this visitor.

Unfortunately we felt on this occasion the food really was not up to the usual standard - whitebait over cooked - chips not their usual crispy delicious standard - but everyone has an off day and we said it would not deter us from returning HOWEVER we found out as we were leaving that after 14 years of trading the Orchard is due to close at the end of September 😔 So sad as , as a family some who are no longer with us it was always are “go to” place for a good quality home cooked meal . So what ever the owners plans are for the future we wish them good luck 😋
