Blue Dragon in Horsham

This is the best Chinese I’ve had, after moving to the area I didn’t think I would find one as nice as my last one, but it’s better. They are also the most friendly family and it’s always a pleasure to order from them they look after their customers.

Laughing down the phone that I didn’t want beansprouts since I’m allergic. Terrible atmosphere.

Very nice fast service nice food

Unfortunately the food didn't taste good, was over priced and I was violently vomiting 3 hours after consuming for 16 hours. My partner had a dodgy stomach and 2 others that ate with us also felt sick after their meals. It's a shame as they are friendly

The most disgusting Chinese food I have ever had &26.25 for chicken curry fried rice spare ribs with no sauce. the curry was curry coloured that's it the race was gloopy. The spare ribs with no sauce where is black is the night sky. The young lady behind the counter was extremely friendly apart from the this is the worst Chinese.

This was my favourite takeaway fir years until the past year ,all the prices have gone up ,I understand that ,but the quality of the food has really gone down ,unfortunately I've had to change where I go

Staff are always so friendly, only 10 minutes order time and the food is always delicious! Always recommend. Its cash only FYI

We've just moved to the area, had our first takeaway Chinese from here Saturday night. We just walked in, we didn't ring ahead, only a 10 minute wait. Cash only it's worth noting (cash point by/apart of the outside of sainsburys) collection only. I had lemon chicken and beef chow mein, I thought it was pretty damn good, I've been using the same Chinese for years in Horsham so I have conflicting loyalties, but I'll be back for sure 😅😂

The food is generally ok and always hot however i have tried all of the meat in green pepper and black bean and all the meat is really tough sometimes inedible. It's also really expensive. £5.40 for egg fried rice is a bit steep even in today's climate

First time going to Blue Dragon. Saturday nights are normally a long wait at other places. 15mins from the point of calling. I get the same meal at each Chinese shop I try. And I wasn't disappointed with this one. Quite possibly the best chrispy chilli beef i have had in a long time. Best in southern england thats for sure. Chicken satay was great. Crispy, smothered in chunky peanut sauce. And the egg fried rice. A simple dish, but even with a large portion, couldn't let it go to waste. Will deffently be back again. Got a ton more of the menu to try out now

After a busy day packing for our house move, my husband suggested having a takeaway, I normally have Indian but he wanted Chinese so I decided I would aswell, we both had chow mein beef with ginger and spring onion and a spring roll, it was really nice not greasy, all of it was hot, really enjoyed it.

Sadly it was more than advertised and Ia dish less . What we had was reasonable but due to staff we would not go back.

Reading these reviews, I can’t believe it’s the same place. My food was bland. Pancake rolls were soggy, chicken and cashews was overly syrupy/sweet and the special chow mein was like thick spaghetti with virtually no meat. First and last time for me.

No no no this food was no good ordered a curry beef egg fried rice and chicken balls the curry was horrible so bland just lots of onions sauce a wieard colour rice just bland sweet and sour sauce taste like tomato ketchup just a let down from now ill stick to the Chinese near the station

Really disappointed from this restaurant. Food was very salty especially the noodles, ribs were dry and overcooked. Only thing good was the rice.

Well have to say it was horrible shredded chicken burnt my plan noodles were so greasy King prawn peppers and black bean sauce was ok the pancake rolls in soggy batter well l think it was batter🤢 never again

Amazing rice and all there pork is cooked extremely well, i'd expect this tier of food to be in a top restaurant, give my compliments to the chiefs.

I’m doing usually like Chinese takeaway as I prefer authentic Chinese food but we all enjoyed this takeaway the food was hot and delicious

Ordered the beef in black bean sauce the beef was so tough completely inedible also the special fried rice was greasy it tastes like it had been fried together in a strange oil. However the ribs were delicious and the sweet and sour chicken was passable wouldn’t rush back in a hurry very disappointed.

Wow. My boyfriend and I were staying at a local campsite and decided to get a takeaway, we read reviews of the local takeaways and this one had the best so we went here, cautious as no chinese is ever as good as the one you have at home! Well for us it was the opposite. We had pad thai, chicken fried rice, 1/2 duck and chicken balls. I want to start of by saying all of the portions were in the large foil containers which was brilliant around for the price! The pad thai was absolutely to die for as was the duck. The chicken balls and rice tasted delicious too! Far better than any I've ever had before. After we had called to place our order, we then got a phone call back from the lady, concerned that pad thai has nuts in and she was just double checking we didnt have a nut allergy which I thought was VERY considerate of her. Anyway, definitly recommend if you are nearby!

We always enjoy our take aways from the Blue Dragon, especially the salt n pepper squid and the chicken satay on skewers. Staff are always polite and precise.

Did not enjoy any of the food, most tasted so bad I couldn’t eat it, other food was very bland and soggy. Majority went in the bin, waste of money. Also extremely overpriced. Do not recommend unless you enjoy bad food at high prices.

Stodgy, tasteless apart from the Hot and Sour soup which was gravy and vinegar - completely inedible.

I'm a bit late on my review, I came for a take away last week. The service was quick and the portion size was great. The veggie spring rolls tasted very fishy and my mushroom curry was odd. Tasted a bit like it had came from a packet. Maybe it was just my dish, I can see people have had great dishes from other reviews. I can say the service is very punctual.

We visit Blue Dragon once a month and it is our favourite Chinese take away in Billingshurst. We used to order from another place by the train station but as some of their food is soaked in oil, we stopped placing orders with them. All dishes prepared at Blue Dragon are tasty, full of flavour and always nicely packed and labelled. Customer Service is very good and staff helpful. Unfortunately Blue Dragon do not offer delivery service, hence 4stars.

First visit friendly staff who were helpful some dishes were tasty and some just average but will go again fair value for money

Went here after carols at St. Mary's. Service was excellent and attentive and the food was plentiful and tasty. You could almost get away with one meal for two people! I had the lamb shank and it was enormous.

My local Chinese take away and the food is usually good and quite yummy. It's expensive but not as expensive as the other Chinese in Billingshurst (the service is also a lot better)

Have had a few takeaways from here and the standard has gone down hill. The last (and final) takeaway had hairs in the prawn crackers and salt and chilli squid. The food is very basic now and not up to the cost - it's not the cheapest option around

Wasn't so sure about ordering Thai from a chimes but found I fancied a pad Thai when I read the menu.However it was burnt which ruined the whole flavour, I was so disappointed.

We had all but given up having takeaways - from anywhere. But as we had a mid-week birthday celebration, and Blue Dragon takeaway had been recommended, we thought we'd give it a go. We didn't have a menu, so phoned and spoke to the chef who said he would put together a nice meal with our preferences - especially a bit more 'zingy' as we like a bit of spice! It was absolutely delicious. Piping hot, freshly cooked, and could not be faulted.Thank you very much indeed Blue Dragon, for giving us such a great meal. We shall be recommending you, and coming back for more, ourselves.

Enjoyed crispy shredded chili beef very much ! Above average Chinese ! Very quick service must be pre prepped but hot and tastyso was happy. Not the cheapest but not rip off. Will be using again for sure !

There are so many take away uniuts in Bilklkingshurst but there is bno doubt for quality food the best is Blue Dragon.Fiune range of food, quick service and friendly staff. No cards only cash purchases

I have always had a different experience each time I use this takeaway. It's either all OK or like my last takeaway, a bit pants really. King prawn curry is yummy but chicken satay and hot and sour soup from there are not what they are meant to be. Very salty food.

I have been using this take away for a few years now, and travelling round the country on holiday I can say this is the best Chinease I've found. The dishes all taste different, other chinease restaurants I have found all dishes taste the same. Quick service too,

I have lived in Billingshurst for over a year and have never even thought of getting a takeaway from here. Appearances can be very deceiving it would appear, as on the face of it this looks like a very bog standard takeaway.We visited on a Saturday evening, and only had to wait 15-20 minutes for our food. We had the spring rolls, satay chicken, salt and pepper squid, beef in black bean sauce, chicken is yellowbean sauce, kung pao chicken, pork rice noodles and egg fried rice. Each dish was perfectly cooked, flavoursome and piping hot. It wasn't cheap, but was cheaper than the now closed China Brasserie 2, and in my opinion, much better.A very pleasant surprise, and hands down the best Chinese in the village!

Tried this for the first time for a weekend takeaway. While we were choosing the friendly team helped us understand what was in each dish and mentioned that it would be freshly cooked and it really was - properly cooked fresh veg in each dish, really well flavoured and less 'gloopy' than others we've had. Silence while eating and then we both remarked on how delicious it was! Our new favourite!

Generally the food at blue dragon is good,I do find there curry sauce very salty,but everything else is always tasty.

I have not had an evening mealFrom here but have on occasion had the one of the lunchtime specials, which is one tray with rice and meat. Hongkong chicken/beef curry/ chow main and the like. To be honest they have been fine, this may be because everything is cooked up at lunchtime and you are getting it fresh rather that later in the day. £4.90 for a hot lunch is not expensive and I have found the service and food quite acceptable considering this is a small takeaway only fast food outlet.

I feel compelled to tell others of my experience of this takeaway meal we had this evening. After a busy day, we opted to get a takeaway from here. Having used them many times in the past, and found the food to be ok. This evening we had our "Usual". Consisting of chicken curry, beef curry , egg fried rice. Spring rolls and chips. As I'm allergic to onions , I make sure the girl taking the order does not give us any by telling her. When we got home. I noticed the food was not hot . So popped it into the microwave. The chips were horrid. I reckon reheated from lunchtime . As was the spring roll. But what was worse, was the fact, after telling them about my allergy. Found they had cooked spring onion through the egg fried rice. We meal was foul, ended up in the bin . We rang up to complain and the girl did not apologise . Nothing . If this is how they treat there customers, then they deserve this bad review. £17 takeaway meal in the bin. customers services after sales. Could not give a S##t

the only reason we use this chinese is for the salt & pepper squid and ribs! which are delicious! however very salty!! no matter how big the order its ready in 5 minutes!! eek!! so defo not 'fresh' also its VERY VERY expensive!! and weirdly, we as a family can never sleep properly after we eat their food! whats in it i wonder!! the crispy duck is ok, but any rice dishes are dry and tasteless, the noodles are the same but wet and tasteless - unless you like salt! the curry is GROSS .... the thai selection is tasty but again, seriously salty, and the portions are SO SMALL. they only take cash and we have never had an order (2 kids, 2 adults) for less that £50. we have stopped going as we always moan about the cost and belly ache after and altho we love the salt & pepper squid & ribs, its just too expensive for what it is.

We've been using Blue Dragon for several years. And I must say that sometimes it can be pot luck what you get in terms of food quality. I have known it to be good and sometimes over salty but generally it's OK.I can't really say that their food is exquisite but it's OK. I have found that Take out food in the area is quite expensive and we regularly pay somewhere around £22-30 for two of us.We have found their customer service to be good. It has also become common practice for Oriental fast food shop to only accept cash.Over Blue Dragon isn't anything special but it is fast food with good customer service but no credit nor debit cards.

Probably the worst of all the Chinese places in Billingshurst. The food is clearly cooked in advance and left sitting around for a very long time. Only ate one of the 6 dumplings as they tasted rancid, like chewing on very tough cardboard, and the filling fell out in one gelatinous lump. The veg in the dishes is so overcooked it is mushy and probably frozen with little taste and the texture of baby food. Would not eat here again.
