The best restaurants serving Default food in Cherwell South East

Love this place to eat , always friendly service and quick, food is delicious. Only quibble is some portions like the popcorn squid need improving, either a bigger portion or not so expensive for what you get ! £8.75 is definitely too expensive for a few bites.

A very nice old fashioned pub with good food at reasonable price

We had the wake for my son’s funeral at the Weston Manor Hotel, a very sad occasion but the hotel was a lovely venue, very attentive staff and the food was delicious. We opted for a hot buffet, lasagna and other dishes plus deserts, and the price was reasonable, I cannot fault the hotel.

Went in & ordered pizza for collection. Got home it was the wrong base. Rang them up to be confronted by extremely rude and immature manager. Kept what she thought was muting the phone call, to be laughing and joking with her colleagues about me and my partner. Very strange behaviour. Mocked my partners allergies. Passive aggressive behaviour from young blonde immature manager. After 3 separate phone calls they finally agreed to replace my pizza to which I had to go collect when I got there nobody said a word rolled her eyes took my wrong pizza and slid my New one to me whilst sighing and grunting. Honestly such a strange odd experience 🤣. Everyone's right when they say kingsmere dominos has better staff and better customer service.

Overpriced for what you get. When waiting for our food to be cooked, one of the girls cooking the food out the back was also eating a sandwich at the same time, didn’t seem very hygienic…

The wings have returned to find they were particularly bad this weekend crispy coating fell off the meat and had a bland taste. It’s a shame this place could be good if there was some consistency with their food.

The service and atmosphere in the Black Bull is second to none. It is run with a fantastic team, and the clientele is first class. A proper drinking pub experience.

We have returned tonight, celebrating our son & daughter in laws 3rd wedding anniversary, it was busy for a tues night. We all had the large mixed grill, and I can honestly say everything was cooked perfectly, for a £15 meal it was absolutely worth every penny, the service was excellent, staff were brilliant. We had an exceptional meal. So go and try it. EXCELLENT

We had a very disappointing meal on Saturday night. It took over an hour to get our food and the delivery charge was £7.00 which really pushed up the cost of our meal. I appreciate it was a Saturday and would have been very busy, but it was early evening. As soon as we received our order and took the lids off the foil trays our hearts sank. The food looked overcooked, beige and greasy. We don’t have a Chinese takeaway very often, it’s usually a real treat, so we were looking forward to this, sadly we were all disappointed. The king prawn balls had obviously been cooked twice and were overcooked in burnt thick batter with very little prawn. The crispy seaweed tasted very strange and too much sugar on it. It tasted to both of us like their oil needed changing. I love tofu, but the black bean sauce was too overpowering and thick. The sir fry mixed vegetables in Szechaun sauce tasted just like overcooked vegetables in gravy. Even the prawn crackers were not nice, too thick and not fresh tasting. My husband said his crispy chilli beef was nice, but the egg fried rice was overcooked and beige. It just wasn’t a nice meal. I called them up because I didn’t want to leave disparaging feedback without speaking to them first, but to be honest I couldn’t get a word in edgeways. The manager just constantly talked at me, so much so I said I was going to have to put the phone down. They did offer us free king prawn balls on our next visit, but we decided that we won’t be using them again.
