Uprise Pizza Co in Cherwell

We have been meaning to try Uprise for a while, missing good pizza after spending time in Italy. Our first visit and we were DEFINITELY not disappointed. Perfectly cooked, quality toppings & piping hot, simply delicious. You know it’s going to be a good pizza when even the base is so good that you’d happily eat that alone! Honestly the best pizza we’ve had since returning home. An added bonus was as it was Tuesday our pizzas were ‘2 for £15’ a true bargain.

Uprise? More like s-uprise Absolute gem, quick turn around, outstanding food, Would highly recommend trying a smash burger pizza or buffalo chicken, Always complimented with a portion of mac n cheese bites and Jefferson haze 🍕

THE BEST PIZZA I've ever had. The burgers are next level. If you fancy an authentic sour dough pizza, or just the best burger you've ever put in your face, I recommend highly!

Can’t emphasise the quality of these pizzas! Me and my girlfriend n kids popped in for a family meal and have to say we were all blown away with the quality of service and food- sides were delicious too! Been ordering from uprise for years and they have an amazing way of taking food you love like pizza and taking it to a whole new level, the pizzas have always been the best this side of naples. AND NOW THEY HAVE DONE IT WITH BURGERS! if you like proper burgers do yourself a favour and try an uprise. You will not regret it

We’ve been going to uprise pizza since they opened a couple of years ago. Hands down the best pizzas in Oxfordshire, we rave about it to all our friends outside the area. Really good customer service, rectified an error without us even complaining with super fast delivery and an extra treat too. Thank you!

My partner ordered from uprise last night and the pizza is really not good. It looks like sourdough pizza but it is so not. The dough is heavy and the crust was actually not properly cooked a doughy, it actually gave us both really bad stomach ache and we couldn't finish it. Went to bed hungry and uncomfortable 😣. If it wasn't so much hassle we would ask for our money back.

Pizza arrived about an 1hr 45mins after ordering but the pizza did arrive hot. We ordered a gluten free pizza as well as two normal pizzas, one of the boxes was marked gf so the gluten free person in our group started chomping happily away. Realised after eating a slice that certain toppings were missing and they were actually eating a normal pizza, not gluten free. Terrible mistake to have made, they should make sure they're putting the right pizza in the right box if they're going to offer gluten free. Absolutely awful. The pizzas are really tasty though, the Italian sausage and pizza sauce especially. Shame the order was mixed and it was so late.

Once the pizzas arrived, although they were a little on the luke warm side, they did have least taste good. I did find the crusts a bit too much though as they were very bready and filling. We'd maybe consider eating in at Uprise in future, but certainly won't go back for take out. As other reviews say, we ordered and were given a delivery time, but this came and went. We tried to ring both Uprise and AKA multiple times and no one picked up. It was then I saw the other reviews and gave up hope we'd even receive our pizzas. They did eventually come and it was the poor chef who had had to deliver them. If you can't handle delivery, don't do it. Why not outsource to the many delivery companies on offer? It should not be up to the chefs to also be delivering, especially if they're busy.

Not only is this the best fast takeaway pizza available in the uk! It is also the best takeaway in the area! Easily 5 star every time, the macaroni cheese bites are incredible.

Terrible. Waited over an hour for 2 pizzas, no answer when tried to ring. Food eventually turns up, bases were seriously burnt and the MacTopia is pretty much dried flavourless pasta and fatty bits of bacon with barely any cheese. Also no dips given with the pizzas. Really disappointed and won't order again. Stick with dominos!

If you can't handle delivery, don't take the orders. I know sometimes things are unavoidable, but even on a good day delivery times are stretched to the acceptable limit. Shame we had to wait almost two hours before giving up and going to McDonald's. Such a pity as the food is soooo good!! Must get more drivers or just don't accept the order.

Best pizza in Banbury by far, had an issue the other day which they acknowledged and refunded in full. Can’t fault it, and the people’s pizzas are genuinely fantastic

Ordered 3 pizzas last night and as always they were amazing! Delivered in a timely manner, piping hot and super delicious. Mactopia is my absolute fave, could eat it everyday.

S@&t the bed.....that was a good pizza! Not too heavy on the cheese, which always puts me off. Not greasy, delicious sauce, good quality meat. The mac and cheese bites were fit! Beautifully cooked, light but filling. Reasonable delivery charges. I'll be ordering again....many times. And I won't be sharing with the kids or my husband.

Ordered a pizza from just eat at request of my little boy, I'm not normally a big fan of pizza but WOW it is one of the nicest pizzas I've ever had! (Plus half the price of domino's and papa johns) will definitely be ordering again! Delivery lady (I believe her name was Charlotte?) Was wonderful aswell, very polite and friendly! Placed an order on deliveroo, order apparently 'failed' but has charge me £30, can't get in touch with restaurant, number straight to voicemail, why have a phone number if it's not active?

What a disgraceful service. Utterly disappointed and disgusted. ordered some pizzas last night for the kids as a treat. They said it will be delivered by 20:15. 21:00 came along food was apparently on the way for an hour but never came. Can't reach them via phone nor other ways. Ruined my Saturday night for 3 hungry kids waiting for their pizza. Ended up having to order elsewhere (arrived after 10pm then) and paid twice. They seriously need to sort their service out!! Never in my life experienced worse than this. Even told me to try reclaim the money back on Uber eats after I contacted them via Facebook. After that even had the audacity to offer me a free pizza next time. Really? As if that would bring back the Saturday night that was ruined. Sort your business out. I will pop by on Tuesday when they open for a serious chat. (The pizza they do is the best in Banbury not gonna lie about that though) still absolutely enraged and will not let this go easily.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. Fantastic pizza -- best I can remember having. The bases are excellent, cooked to perfection with that lovely char you get on the crust of good pizza. The toppings are delicious with well-balanced and interesting flavours. The wings and dips are great too. Very impressed as well with delivery. I live in a village some distance from Banbury, but waited only 40 minutes on a Saturday evening and received fresh hot food. The delivery drivers are friendly and polite. Delivery is priced fairly. I'd advise ordering on their website, rather than via JustEat. It's just as easy and there is no extra "service charge".

Payment taken 2 hours ago, still not arrived. Unable to contact, phone goes to voicemail. This was for my daughters birthday. Will never recommend our use again. Disgraceful!

Omg I don't know how I have never tried this place,the food is absolutely amazing, max and cheese balls are extremely nice,and the guy's running it are very helpful and friendly, nice to have a pint and decent pizza, definitely going back

Disappointing. I ordered 2 pies just today and they both came completely smashed up, like if someone took the box and started waving it left and right. All of the toppings ended on a single slice, leaving the rest of the slices with just tomato sauce. The pie itself was almost folded and I didn't order a calzone lol I imagine the fault is with the delivery driver but when I tried to call them multiple times, I was just ignored and never got through to the pizzeria. Delivery was quick and the pizzas are always very nice but todays experience ruined it for me, its like getting pizza from Ikea - you have to put it back together yourself. Also, the sauces could be in bigger containers. Over a pound for a dip which is I belive 2oz is pricey. You guys should consider 4oz containers instead.

Tried 3 different pizzas. Some of the most disgusting pizza I've ever eaten. Bizarrely obtuse flavours, was almost as if it was rancid. The only passable thing was the crust, which was ok.

I decided to try the menu at Uprise Pizza Co and it did not fail to impress. Great pizzas and milkshakes. The 'Mushroom Cloud' pizza and the 'Blue Cheese Garlic Bread' are worth trying. I will be ordering from here again! 👍

Yesterday I wrote a bad review for this place on just eat because it was late and I feel guilty because this place is CERTI LEGIT I have ordered from here 3 times now and every time it is IMPECCABLE, the pizzas are banging I’m addicted to the dough, all the ingredients taste fresh and light (in the sense that you don’t feel like a lethargic SSHIT after u eat it like other pizzas do) As for the dips bloody delicious the garlic dipping, blue cheese and Jefferson I order one of each every time, they must be made in house cause they’re TOP TEIR quality and taste. Like there’s actual chunks of blue cheese in the blue cheese dip Aaaand lastly the wings again you can just tell the sauce was home made with love, the first two times I got the buffalo ones which are my fave but last night I got the honey wiskey ones and FOOK ME my taste buds where not ready my dad makes wings like this and don’t tell him I said this but there on parr with his. I’m conclusion uprise pizza is 10/10 I will be a regular customer and I promise to never write a bad review again cause the guilt I slept on was not the one Thanks you uprise pizza co for satisfying me beyond my wildest dreams

I don't know, they exist but not on the night I wanted them, hence I ended up at Papa John's across road, and had a cocktail in the pub whilst waiting. I expect their pizzas are fantastic

Just had an amazing pizza from Uprise. You can tell its fresh ingredients and a lot of love put into it. I think it's probably one of the best pizzas I've had. This will be where we go every time for pizza for now. Highly recommended!

We’d seen and heard a lot about this place so finally gave in and tried it. Despite all the hype it was even better than anything you’ve read or pictures you’ve seen. Crazy I know. Very quick socially distanced delivery. Easy to use website. The perfect experience from ordering to eating. We can’t wait to order again.

Really really excited to order here but we were left waiting over one hour, and when it arrived, it was stone cold :( (partner loved the buffalo wings but not enough to save the experience unfortunately!) disappointing.

Best pizza in Oxfordshire hands down

Brilliant Pizza, delivery was fast along with the delivery driver being nice and friendly. The food was hot, delicious and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend this over any of the chain pizza companies! :)

The pizza is amazing, but unfortunately we've now been waiting over two hours for our dinner. I'm currently breastfeeding so this has made me incredibly hangry. When you order from Uprise they give no indication of how long it will take - if we'd known, we would have made our own pizza at home and eaten an hour ago. Edited to add: we've waited over two and a half hours for our pizza which is six minutes down the road. The chef answering the phone is the last person left in the shop and has asked us to now come and collect the pizza. This is absolutely ridiculous and I'd sooner order from bloody Pizza Hut than this place. Not worth it, honestly.

Great pizza. The best takeaway pizza I have had in Banbury. Almost as good as some of the pizzas I enjoyed whilst living in Southern Italy. Simply delicious! Good delivery service! Would be great to see a simple marinara on the menu... Cheese is amazing.... But so is tomato sauce, especially from Uprise. Highly recommended! Anyone who is a stranger to authentic pizza, I'd suggest you enlighten yourself! Thank you Uprise, superb as always.

Uprise Pizza is off the chain!! Their pizzas are nothing like the other chain takeaway options, proper artisan, gourmet, neapolitan pizza. Callum puts his heart and soul into his food and it really shows. Top tip - get the chicken wings, both kinds! You won't regret. Or the doughballs, or the Halloumi. Just try it all! 😂

We ordered from the new Pizza Revolution on Saturday night and the pizzas were absolutely delicious! Good authentic stone baked bases with fresh ingredients and toppings, which were easy to add onto on their website. We will definitely be ordering again.

I couldn't recommend them enough, every pizza we've had has been banging. We love the Pizza Lab and The Peoples Pizza too, what a great idea... our particular favourite was the lamb, we hope that comes back one day! Keep up the good work!

I like to support local business, yet despite waiting nearly 2 hours for a delivery and for it to turn up cold earlier in the week. I decided to give these guys a second chance, but once again a total shambles. Ordered online @ 18.37. They took the money, sent confirmation and gave a receipt.. Then at 19.32, got a call, almost an hour later, to say they were closed and wouldn't be delivering at all..

Ingredients, quality and pricing result in quite best possibly the best pizza I've had in Banbury. However, having had a room temperature delivery, I cannot recommend delivery. Collection with a hot pizza will set the bar for every other pizza you have. Would be 5 stars if hotter on delivery.

So I had my first pizzas from here tonight. I'll give you 5 stars but I had a text to say they had left at 19:44, and they didn't arrive until 20 minutes later. So they were a bit colder than I would have liked. Room for improvement but also I'm putting it down to the crazy times we're living in right now. I'm hoping it won't get downgraded in future. So onto the pizza. Incredible. Absolutely amazing. Reminds me of yearly trips to Italy. These pizzas are easily the best I have had in Banbury from any takeaway service. Beautifully thin with that slightly charred crunchy crust. Tomato sauce was divine. I can only envisage success for you if thats the level of food you produce each day. Keep it up. I will be back to order more.

Banging pizza from a proper pizza oven! delicious pizza at a very good price - 2 large pizzas, one large garlic bread and 4 dips for £25 - waaaaay cheaper than a dominos. Their basil dip is particularly good.
