Pizza Express in Cherwell

As good as it looks pizza was lucking any taste, costumer service high standard, atmosphere lovely.

We booked a birthday party for 12 rambunctious 9 year olds on a Saturday morning. It was fabulous, the kids absolutely loved it - a massive shout out to Dom and Jack for their, kindness, patience and professionalism, the children had such a great time and the feedback from their parents has been amazing. I would highly recommend a kids birthday party at Pizza Express, first they played games and coloured pictures, the highlight was that they made their own pizza, while the pizzas were in the oven they had dough balls, followed by their pizzas then ice cream - everything was included in the price.

Literally just eaten here with my wife and son and must say it was exceptional. I had low ish expectations as the last visits to food places anywhere has been poor however this was exceptional. We were greeted by a man in a black shirt whose demeanour was friendly but professional and instantly made us feel at ease. We were then waited on by a young guy who was exceptional not just with service but the extra care to interact with my boy and make sure he was happy was above and beyond. The pizzas were all exceptional and above expectation. Never been before but will return regularly now

me and my cousin got here after shopping, we weren’t greeted at the door, instead the waitress stood around talking to her colleagues, so we sat ourselves, then got in trouble for sitting ourselves, then it took about 10 minutes for the chubby lady to even acknowledge we were ready, it then took over half an hour for our pasta to come out and during that half an hour the waitress didn’t once come see if we were ok or come and check on us instead she walked around joking with the other guests, i think it was blatant racism as we are both darker skinned. i am appalled at the service i received on 5th of march at 7pm

We have just had my daughter’s birthday party here. Dominic was fantastic- nothing was too much trouble and he was fantastic with the children, kept them engaged and they all had a great time. I cannot recommend highly enough.

When we had children, we used to go a lot to Pizza Express but less so recently - so it was good to go again after we had been to the cinema. It was as good as ever. Good service, reliable and tasty pizzas and a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Amazing waitress called Nemo. Really fantastic service. Unfortunately our pizzas were cold but that is a first.

this is not just at this branch its the chain itself,,still the same lackluster pizza and flat mushy lasagna, pizza at pizzaexpress is awful its exactly how the pizza in the frozen isle in the supermarket tastes, like cardboard .. there are so many good wood fired pizza places i dont see why pizzaexpress exists , the lasagne is a bowl of snot no meat filling no crispy top, and a few millimeters deep and all very over priced,also the toilet here was disgusting very dirty, dirtier than a public toilet,

We’ve been four times to Bicester Pizza Express now. I wouldn’t normally go to a chain restaurant, but we discovered this one in November 23 when I came with some girlfriends from work for a birthday celebration and now love coming back as a family. The food is always great, fresh, hot and really tasty. It’s good value for money especially with your rewards on the App and the staff are wonderful and so helpful. We always have such a good experience here. Thank you!

We had an absolutely lovely meal on Saturday 16th December, the staff were so welcoming and friendly, food was fantastic and the waitress and chef even accommodated us when we asked for two dishes that used to be on the menu! Thank you all for a lovely meal 😀

Got up and left after 15 minutes. After begrudgingly being shown to a table that was the last interaction we had with the staff, they didn't even show any interest or ask us why we were leaving!

Our vegan pizzas were amazing as was our waitress Olivia! Only gripe was that the lady who seated us, took quite a while to acknowledge us. She wasn't friendly, however, that was just a small part of our experience and we'll definitely be back!

I recently ordered a take-away but unfortunately did not receive what I had paid for. Despite multiple attempts to contact the restaurant by phone, I couldn't reach them. Moreover, when I raised a complaint about the issue, I didn't receive any response. It's essential to exercise caution when ordering take-away deliveries to avoid potential financial losses.

We brought a small group for an 8th birthday party, and the team – especially Nemo – could not have been more helpful. Thank you so much!

Place was open but 'temporarily closed' not serving due to handover or something pathetic... should of updated google before we all made the effort to venture out. Two places in one day, both not serving. Poor from pizza express.

We had dinner there with friends and it was delightful. Excellent service and management was really hands on.

Me and my family arrived at 7:55pm food got served at 8:55pm due to chef putting ham on my kids vegetarian pizza, and another staff telling me it got burnt so a new one got made. In the process, my pizza was kept warm and it had become crunchy. Poor service for a franchise that should know better. decisione sbagliata! Friday 29th September.

Thank you to the Pizza Express Bicester team who made my son Joel's birthday party so special! Dom was a fantastic host for the fun, games and of course pizza! Everybody had a amazing time and I highly recommend Pizza Express for your little ones parties!

Starters came burnt and pizzas weren’t cut we had to ask another server for a slicer. I was given the wrong pizza and made to feel like it was my fault for this mistake even though Ik I didn’t order a different pizza. Food was alright but you can tell the place is short staffed.

Niamh served us at Bicester with excellent attentive service and a great sense of humour. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. All staff were great- we were a family of 2 kid, 2 adults and would definitely recommend it.

I've eaten at Pizza Express many times but this has to be the best meal I've had, cooked to perfection! Service was brilliant too.

Fabulous service from Dom! A lovely meal with 5 star service. Dom was very friendly and welcoming. He was very efficient and checked we were happy with our meals. There wasn’t any mango for the dessert so he suggested a strawberry creation that was delicious!! 5 stars for creativity 🙌🏻 please pass onto him our feedback, he is a credit to your restaurant and an example of great customer service. Kids pizza party! What a fantastic time, we had our little girl’s 4th party today and it was so good.The organisation was super easy and swift,then the actual party was brilliant (even with such a young crowd.) Dom was a hit host and really joined in with the children. Everyone loved it-would definitely recommend!

We were served by Sophie, she was brilliant, it was a busy evening in the restaurant but she was attentive and the food was delicious. I ordered an off menu pizza, they made it beautifully. The head chef is really excellent in this pizza express. Would highly recommend

Bicester venue never fails to satisfy. Fantastic food, lots of choice and recommendations. The staff are always accommodating with any requests. My husband loves super spicy so they are happy to bring chilli flakes and chilly oil. Sophie is always very helpful and friendly. We regularly visit because we know it will always be a happy visit.

The Manager here was an absolute star. Uber Eats failed to find us for delivery so I had to drive to the restaurant myself. They had re-made my pizzas for when I arrived and would not accept any payment. What a gesture of goodwill and kindness. Made me switch from unhappy to happy in an instant. I have never had such an awful welcoming and made to feel like such an inconvenience for having a pram. The waitress was so rude to the point where when we were asked to sit down we decided to walk out and not give our money to a restaurant that was so unwelcoming and rude.

We had a lovely dinner at Pizza Express, we were well looked after and the food was as expected! The only downside was that it was busy and very loud but there's not much that can be done about that.

Food is great, but it feels like it is a small restaurant

I ordered pizzas with Uber tonight, paying the Priority Delivery as was getting quite late for my son to have dinner. I called the restaurant at 20.14 and the confirmed the pizzas were handed over to the driver more than 20 min ago they also said than once they handed over its not their responsibility anymore. Pizzas were delivered at 20.35 stone cold. Who knows where the driver has been. Pizzas also weren’t kept in one of the usual thermal bag. I then took the pizzas back to the shop and they just suggested me to report the problem with the Uber App. The manager didn’t even come to speak to me, just sent the waitress. No offer to redo my pizzas, not even the Piccolo for my son. I left my pizzas as the shop and left. Will they refund my order?

My daughter and I attended the Bicester Pizza Express restaurant recently and had such a wonderful experience! Our waitress Liz welcomed us at the door with a big smile and continued with excellent customer service throughout our stay. The restaurant felt cozy, warm. I haven’t been to Pizza Express for many years and due to her service alone I hope to be a regular! You have a true gem on your team! <3

The food was all fresh and tasty but the service was fabulous. The staff were all warm and friendly and really efficient.

Standard Pizza Express menu but nicely cooked and presented. Interesting layout of seating which is not too crowded. Friendly and helpful staff. The dessert I ordered was not available but they offered an alternative free of charge.

Had dinner here on Friday night. Usually a pizza express is much of a muchness and quite nice for a bite. This one is miles better than any other I’ve been to. Today I went to the new pizza express in Banbury (castle quay) I sent my food back and decided not to reorder. Looking at their reviews I think they need some help from you! Standard pizza express. Can be busy at peak times so worth making a reservation. Wouldn't recommend the halloumi bites that I got today. Not sure what I was expecting but they were burnt and overall quite disappointing for the price.

Came here for my son's birthday party, and the staff were amazing. Always had the attention of the 12 children when prepping the pizzas and broke everything down into simple steps for them - my husband and I didn't need to do anything! Massive thank you to all the staff, and in particular Hannah - not sure how you managed to keep them all under control so effortlessly 😀

We were virtually the only table in there with around 5 members of staff working. They forgot our drinks and half the starter.. we didn’t get our drinks until we’d virtually finished our starter. The main course took way longer than they should have given we were the only table in there! Then one member is staff proceeded to literally drag tables and chairs around with no thought as to how disruptive and loud this was. Customer service here was very poor. Food okay. Not a great experience.

Poor service, prioritising deliveroo over restaurant customers, over an hour wait for a pizza (without starters) complained to staff who were utterly clues less of the situation.

Not all Pizza Express chains are equal. This restaurant is consistently good. The food is of a high standard, the staff friendly and helpful. We received quick service and everything about the meal was spot on. Our server even offered to charge my phone while we ate so that I could access my membership App. Thank you :)

We visited pizza express on Friday evening as a large group. We were in Bicester for our boys to play a cup match on the Saturday. Our main meals were pre ordered and they were received fairly quickly on arrival and after sorting out our drink selection. We were served by Leah and she did a great job especially as we were putting our orders onto individual family bills. Leah was friendly, helpful and efficient . The Pizzas were very nice and those of us that had dessert were happy. I chose the salted caramel cheesecake it was delicious. We had a lovely evening. If I’m ever in the area again I would definitely return.

Came off the M40 on our way back to London from Birmingham and headed here for two scrumptious pizza and soft drinks. Lovely member of staff who helped us set up our Pizza Express app! Only problem I had was that the lighting was extremely bright in places compared to other parts of the restaurant.

Fresh food and friendly service. Kids always enjoy the dough ball starter and then a pizza. Maybe even room for a pudding. Went again recently and was served by Lucy who did a great job serving us whilst the restaurant was busy and hectic.

great experience at pizza express bicester today. our waitress Caitlin and was great, prompt to take our orders, polite and we weren’t left waiting for the bill. my only niggle with pizza express is they changed the carrot cake to a new recipe which isn’t half as nice as the old one, really dry and tasteless now. the rest of the food was as to their usual good standard 👍🏻
