I'm sorry but this is quite possibly the worst Chinese ever had .. we thought we would try somewhere else . As our normal spot was over 2 hours delivery and wish I waited .
Ribs looked like they came of road kill. Everything was over cooked
And got chicken instead of beef on one dish
Honest please ignore any good reviews I would rather have cheese on toast and save my money
We attended Eastwell Manor for Sunday Lunch but because of the lack of trained staff and the bad management, we had an awful time.
We were left waiting for 30 minutes before someone came to take our drinks order. There were about 15 different gins and 10 vodkas on the menu and we ordered a Hendricks and tonic. 20 minutes later, the waitress came back to tell me that they didn't have that Gin. I asked which ones they had and off she went again for another 10 minutes. When she returned, she said there was only 1 gin available. I then asked about the vodkas and once again she disappeared for about 5 minutes and returned to tell me that they only had 2 vodkas available. We felt very sorry for her as obviously this was not her fault but the fault of the manager.
Why were the staff not informed at the beginning of their shift what items were unavailable. Common sense really!!
We were informed that we would need to order our dessert at the same time as our starter and main course or we would wait "hours"
Our roast dinners arrived and there was no horseradish or mustard or any other sauces available. I asked the man who brought our dinners for another drink and he told me I had to catch someone's eye as he couldn't take orders for drinks.
When you actually managed to speak to anyone, they were very pleasant and we felt very sorry for them having to work in these conditions. There were complaints from many other people also.
The lunch dragged on and I was glad when it was over- move over Basil Fawlty.
is the restaurant closing down? That would explain why there was such a poor menu.
The food itself was wonderful. What a shame that the management aren't!
We are a group of 7 who visited your pub yesterday evening having looked at your website that stated you were doing food from the 14th April. Unfortunately on arrival we were advised the kitchen was closed. Surely a note on your website, a chalk board outside, or a note on your door would have avoided disappointment
I love Nero’s coffee and food, I prefer sitting at Nero even though there are other coffee shops around: Good price for quality. I’ve been in the uk for 18 years, visiting Nero for 18 years too! That said, I won’t be visiting this one, ever!!! My latest visit was with my partner and kid. My partner ordered the coffee and food and left(took their take away with them) and I stayed to sit. I was planning to leave too but rain started to pour more, so I decided to eat the food inside. When I asked for tissues, the counter lady spat at me saying I paid for take away! In an empty café nevertheless! To the lady at the counter: Where are your manners? Can’t you kindly ask and tell me my partner paid for takeaway for everyone that I might need to pay the difference?!!! I was coming to your cafe at least 3 times a week, I always pay “sit in” price and how big of a deal it is if it’s paid take away without me knowing?!!!
Disappointing!
Beef was tough, pork tasteless.
Veg, not great.
Deserts some good others disappointing.
It was for a special occasion which was not.
I felt for my family who payed good money for a mediocre meal.
Service was good but will not be back.
Good food at a very reasonable price. Would like to give Sam a special mention. It was very busy but Sam was a champ! She kept us updated and was extremely helpful and friendly.. 10/10 Sam !
Extensive garden centre, a few animals for the kids to see, a decent play area and a nice cafe with seating inside and out. Food and drinks are a little on the expensive side but nice. Tiny cup of tea for £2.75 but the burgers are scrummy! Nice place for an afternoon out
Popped in on the spur of the moment for lunch. It was moderately busy but the staff were friendly and attentive. The food menu isn’t massive but there’s enough choice and I would be more than happy to try any of the main dishes. We both had bangers and mash, which was delicious and I can honestly say it was the best I’ve had in a long time.
Food and drinks are more than reasonably priced. There is plenty of parking in the street outside and it’s dog friendly too.
Well done guys for running a little gem of a country pub. We will definitely be returning.
Great atmosphere and top-quality food and drink, all served surprisingly quickly. I went in hungry and left completely satisfied — all three of us (me, my partner, and our son) ate well for just £30. Can’t complain at all — brilliant value and an all-round great experience.
