Papa John's in Ashford

Took order and payment then an hour later has been marked as delivered suddenly and no food delivered and no answer at restaurant phone.

Latest update 5.2.24 Advertised open in till 11, can’t order online because closed before 8pm this time! Called and got told excuses. Useless clowns. (edit. Still closed when advertised as open an hour early, think I've only had two bloody pizzas out of six or seven times trying to order in the advertised open hours. Plus the Sausage and Pepperoni never has the herbs on it again as advertised.) I fudging well miss Papa!!!) 2 recent separate occasions trying to order, 2 times closed over an hour earlier than advertised. Papa was meant to bless me but left me hungry. Shame on you 😂

Was charged full price for each pizza despite there being 60% off all pizzas … 😐

The food had hair in it I sent it back to the shop they were arguing when we were puling out hair from the pizza that we should not get refund and they where false advertising a deal on there shop side Wich they have take down now

I've ordered 2 pizzas and I've only received 1.£77 it's a joke, driver didn't even know what I've been ordering ,I'm taking this higher, I have proof in the form of a receipt and CCTV footage of my delivery. I'm really disappointed

Ordered twice from here and both times order has not been what we had paid for. The first time the food was an hour and a half late/ cold and was wrong order. When rang the store they were rude and refused a refund and sent another pizza which we did not want by that point. This time every single item ordered did not come as advertised - dough balls were rectangular, bacon garlic bread was 4 small bits of bacon over the entire garlic bread - and both pizzas tasted awful and did not come as advertised. The meat toppings taste cheap and nasty.

Never received order and trying to call you is a joke, did not pick up the phone at all. Will be requesting a full refund and be the last time I order from here

I have used Papa Johns regularly. Always have the same the works. Today i recieved a large Works and the topping was non existent. Also my son in laws meat feast was same. Very disappointed.

We ordered a pizza with extra base cheese and extra sauce and were satisfied that we actually got that which is a huge improvement on other establishments. Overall we were delighted with the pizza as well as the rest of our order which was delivered hot and early by a friendly and polite driver.

Review changed... since the new owners took over, the pizza quality became worst. Despite ordering deep pan, the pizza was paper thin. Ingredients are way less and not fresh. Never ordering again!

Two weeks in a row, delivery has taken well over an hour. The quality of the pizzas is fantastic, but delivery is letting you down Papa John's.

Completed the order on the app, all confirmed 15minutes later, app not showing any progress. Called to check to get told they don't have my order and the money should be refunded automatically. No apology, not even an offer to let me take your order now and make sure you get it asap. Absolutely terrible customer service. If you can't be bothered to try and satisfy your customers when you're in catering just get a different job!!! Useless doesn't cover it !!!!!

Avoid papa johns Ashford ,they are selling expensive pizzas compare to other papa johns stores ,complete rip offs.

Had to phone restaurant to get order. Even though the Just Eat website said the order was confirmed, the restaurant confirmed over the phone that they had not received the order from just eat. Whoever is at fault, over an hour after originally ordering, I'm still waiting.

Best pizza around “The Works”. Brilliant!

First time we’ve ever order papa johns. The Papadias and they are all amazing folded pizzas and well packed so they don’t slide and come with garlic dip. Will have again!! Wish I’d taken a picture but scoffed it! The sides “chicken poppers” also excellent. The tatter tots with four cheese are nice. Only thing is they charge delivery and a little pricy compared to others but in fact on half Papadias is filling!

Not sure how this kind of places still operate and no one checks on their practices and offerings! Save your money!!! I binned it and ordered a decent pizza from Domino's. Total waste of everything: money, time and nerves!

The worst customer service ive ever had end off. Called them up to say my address is not coming up online due to the residence being a new development. Was told to order online regardless. Explained this again to Khaleem as he says his name was but he just kep saying we are busy, i explained to him i understand and would like to order through the phone regardless. After which i kept getting the same response we are busy. Simply put i asked him 3 times can i order through the phone and was blatantly told no. Guy needs to be fired!

Ordered a pizza 35 minute's before they closed on NYE and recieved a email stating there was something wrong with my order but didn't say what. The issue with this was the email went to my spam folder and I didn't see it until I'd been waiting over a hour for my pizza. I tried ringing multiple times but no one answered. Not sure what their issue was and why they couldn't deliver my pizza but, won't try ordering again

I ordered at 6.35 got a message back stating it would be with me between 19.50 and 20.10 which I thought was a long time but understood they were busy. But by 20.20 it had still not arrived I rung the shop to be told it was on it's way should be one minute. I finally got it at 20.33.

Terrible,did not receive food after 3 hours waiting and 3 calls to the restaurant promising it's on its way. Justeat refused a refund saying it's was derlived taking the side of the restaurant. Terrible customer service from just eat and I am £46 out of pocket. Will be a trading standards issue unless resolved

I placed an order at 6:20pm with a estimated delivery time of 35-55min an hour after ordering I tried phoning took 5 attempts to get in contact one I got throw they sead that the order was not in the system and they where preparing it at 7:40 know 2h after ordering and the delivery has yet to arrive. I am not willing to pay £40 for a delivery when I have to waighting 2h for it to be delivered when usually it takes 25min

Hour and half delivery time and no black olives

Historically, our family have frequented Papa J's ever since it opened in Ashford. The combination of fast and reliable delivery, great online deals & good veggie, vegan and base options has kept us loyal, and we find them far more to our taste than other national pizza chains. However, in recent weeks we've experienced a marked change and not for the better. As a family we always over-order, the uneaten pizza goes into the fridge and gets used for lunches and grazed on over the next couple of days, but it never stays around for long because it's so nice. Our last two pizzas have been soggy, greasy and unappetising, the boxes so coated in fat that we couldn't even consider recycling them, the cheese and topping sliding off. The thin crust in particular was unpleasant and as evidence, the leftovers were nearly half the order and they were still in the fridge days later, because, well, they just weren't very nice. We even tried re-heating to try and get some of the oil out of the base but no go; it was like fried bread. The best thing about both orders was the garlic butter dip. It saddens me to write this and it also seems a little unfair to switch loyalties after just a couple of dodgy orders following years of good service, but the takeaway market is cut-throat and there are lots of options, so we tried a local independent as an experiment. Suffice to say we won't be going back to Papa J's......

Been waiting nearly 2 hour for my food and I still haven't had it delivered yet

Ordered 4 pizzas . Had to collect from high halden. Sent my daughter to collect. Got 3 pizzas 2 of which were wrong. A pizza retailer who cannot even get a very simple 4 pizza order right. Phoned up to complain to manager who was the guy who took the order. He proceeded to tell me i was wrong (as if he knows what my family wants more than me) and then slammed the phone down on me. I am just so furious. We order take out really infrequently and were really looking forward to it. No offer of refund or discount no apology just slam phone down. Disgraceful.

Arrived an hour early rang the restaurant and told in future order from them direct and not thro just eat !!!

Waited nearly 3hours for my supposedly lunch time order and although told to request a refund there’s nowhere to request on here plus it’s impossible to contact anyone from just eat too. Terrible service!!!

the order kept saying delivered where it wasn't . i have to call restaurant twice and definitely the response was not honest as I was told it will be with me any second but it was 30 min late for a 1.2 mile journey

What's the point of adding notes to order, when the delivery person can't be bothered to do as requested! No phone call, no receipt with order! Food? At best, warm. Stone cold before finishing it.

Just missing one of the sauces which was annoying as nowhere on missing items was I able to tick a box to say it was missing. Apart from that it was a nice meal.

Not only was my delivery late but i asked the driver if i had my sauces and they weren't in there he then gave me the wrong sauces that he said had been sat in his car for a week.

It took an hour and 15 minutes before the food finally turned up

Delivery driver dropped off 3 pizzas instead of 2, but we didn't notice until bringing the food inside. 20 minutes later he phones to recollect the pizza that he accidentally dropped to give to another customer... even outside of the coronavirus pandemic, this is disgusting. I feel sorry for the customer that has now received a pizza which has been passed around. I will not be ordering from this papa johns store again.

Didn’t receive our food. We were in all night. Very disappointed!! Won’t use this service again. There is also a possibility that they won’t refund us our money. We were blamed for not receiving the food. We did not here anyone and our dogs would have alerted us to someone at the door! We live in a rural area so would have heard our door knocking.

Food was never delivered. Called them after 90 minutes to find out that have to wait another 30-45 minutes for my order. Never got to my doors

Even though there was a system issue with just eat at the restaurant they still got the order delivered and made within 30 minutes and gave an extra drink and pudding to apologise. So can't complain.

Ordered a bbq chicken pizza as part of a larger order and the bbq sauce wasn't on it so it was just a chicken pizza. It still got eaten but not by the person who requested the bbq chicken.

Great pizza, and ready for collection bang on time

The order process was simple and straight forward. The food, both pizzas were excellent, just what we needed to make an evening chatting to friends memorable.

The food was lovely although we had two deliveries the first was for someone else the second was ours and that driver took the weing one.

No dips were delivered with the pizza. Driver said they were in the box but they weren't. Pizza was so cold I had to reheat. Booked it 2 hours earlier for 9pm, it arrived at 9.30, cold, dips missing and no apology. Really unimpressed. I only treat myself to pizza twice a year and this was hugely disappointing.

I can't believe the shocking service I got from this branch of the franchise. I ordered on the ap, for home delivery of an order worth £30. It should have had a discount subtracted due to my last order being 30 minutes late, but this wasn't done at checkout. Over an hour later, with a delivery time of 20 minutes given on the ap, I called, to be told that they had emailed me to say that they would not deliver. They also refused a refund. I had to go and collect the pizza. When I did, it had been in the oven keeping warm for an hour, was dry and stale. When I complained, the owner came from the back room, was rude and obnoxious, seemed to think there was no issue with the poor service and couldn't seem to grasp why I would be annoyed. To top it off, he wasn't wearing a mask or gloves and was actually preparing food, no issues there in a pandemic. Needless to say the stale, cold hard, contaminated mess went in the bin and we ordered from domino's who delivered our hot, delicious and responsibly prepared virus free pizzas in 20 minutes from ordering. I know where I will be going in future.

Pizza was ok not very full of topping and arrived cold

The vegan sausage and pepperoni on my vegan works pizza tasted absolutely awful as did the vegan garlic dip and the hot buffalo dip. I ended up picking it all out of the topping. The sausage had a 'chemical' taste to it. It was really horrible. It's such a shame because the service was great and we would have ordered more pizzas in the future, but the ones we had tonight were very disappointing and have sadly put us off of ordering any more..

Pizza and toppings two separate entities - don't recommend ordering. Papa John's garlic sauce is also vile.

My food was left outside (it is minus 1 degrees) and nobody knocked or let me know it was there. Disappointed as now it is freezing.

Food was awful hardly any topping and dried up

I won't be ordering from Papa John's ever again! Over an hour late, no contact within that time aside from the two calls I made to the store. The food was good, but the portions tiny.

The wrong drink was sent and the pizza whilst reasonably warm was not hot. Not the delivery chaps fault as he did everything perfectly. I guess the pizza wasn't as hot as it could be when it was given to him. Much better choice on the companies direct website.

App doesn’t update as it should

It was very easy to place an order, plenty of food choices, the man was lovely who helped me with a question with my order and service was super fast.

Unfortunately the food was basically cold when it arrived. Hopefully just a isolated mistake as never had this issue before with them.

Someone was not thinking and put chocolate on the top of the cheese scolls I ordered. The whole thing just went in the bin. Maybe they should look at what's ordered not make a dish up. Yuk.
