The best restaurants serving Default food in Ashford South East

A lovely cafe in Tenterden. The staff were cheerful and friendly. The shop has been done beautifully with lots of lovely plants. The food was delicious and you can tell homemade - I can thoroughly recommend the soup and the dirty chair late. Good veggie and vegan options available too!

Thankfully, now a 'Freehouse' offering a good range of locally produced beers, lager and ciders from the cask (steels) at very competitive prices. All the aforementioned and with a selection of delicious homemade 'gourmet' sausage rolls, chutneys, quiches and cakes to satisfy any discerning palette. A beautiful interior with plenty of space and comfortable seating to relax and enjoy a peaceful pint or glasses of wine. Recommended.

Very disappointed with this travel lodge. I booked two rooms with one being a wet room for my disabled mother.I paid for early book in but was only invoiced for one room ,my mistake but on arrival no rooms were available. I was told that they were full the previous night and I should have checked the website.We then had to wait until the rooms were cleaned and we were charged a further 15 pounds for the privalidge of waiting.The hotel its self was a far cry from the photos on the web site with litter struined all over the car park . When we eventually got to our room we were in an annex which was a very long way away from reception down very narrow corridors blocked by trolleys and the like not easy to negotiate.My mother's room was satisfactory and on first appearance so was ours, however,the bathroom could have been cleaner.After our initial experience the receptionist became more helpful.

This was our first time ordering from Green Asian, our regular option was closed. I ordered via the website and set a specific delivery time, the website ordered didnt update from "processing" but the food arrived bang on time and was piping hot and lovely. Delivery driver was very friendly and polite. A few our regular dishes were a little spicier than we are used to, but the family demolished them all the same. A great takeaway that i think we will be using more in the future. Thankyou!

Had a takeaway meal for two last night with two medium cod, chips and mushy peas and it was absolutely delicious and arrived in very good time! Highly recommended!

This place deserves to be heaving and buzzing! Ran by the kindest, friendliest lanloard Dean. You can tell her has a lot of care for the place and passion. Great priced drinks, much better than any chain. Bet the food would be amazing too! I'm not from around this area, but I popped in and wish it was my local pub because we really enjoyed our evening. Go Support your local businesses Ashford!

The grounds are stunning. The manor house impressive. The Manor restaurant was great service but VERY expensive. The mains are £28 - £32 each and does not include the potatos or veg. The mains are very tiny portions. The potatos £6 for a side dish. The price is silly compared to what you actually get.

The George pub has now closed down Sadly , lovely Village and could really Benefit from this pub reopening and giving the locals a community Spirit once again. Such a Shame

Visited today, a very last minute Easter meal booking made on Friday… the chap who answered the phone did his utmost to fit us in and couldn’t have been more helpful given how busy their bookings were. Arrived and were warmly welcomed by the bar team who we immediately warmed to with their sense of humour. Ordered four Sunday lunches (two roast port and two roast lamb). Both arrived really quickly and a huge plateful of food. The meats were cooked to perfection and a lovely seasonal selection of veg. The roasties were fabulous and all roasts served with a huge and beautifully light Yorkshire pudding. Best cauliflower cheese I’ve had in a long time. Four cleared plates in pretty short order - it was delicious. Nice selection of puddings on the menu and it would’ve been rude to not take advantage of the triple chocolate brownie. A good sized portion, served with a really rich chocolate sauce and a good scoop of ice cream. A perfect ending to the meal. The staff were fantastic, very attentive table service without putting time pressure on. Nice to see them having banter with those up for a laugh and participating with customers - whether the regular locals, or those on their first visit (that was us today). Such a welcoming vibe to the place as a result. Thank you for such a wonderful experience, your hospitality and good humour made it a great visit with the parents and your food was absolutely superb!

Another great breakfast mini monty cooked well and on a hot plate. Nick was brilliant and attentive nothing to much bother. As we asked for several extra things like a serrated edge knife as my friend has arthritis in her hands. Mark made sure I had a top up of coffee which no other restaurant in Tenterden doe's We also came in for a dinner last month and service was really good. And a really good choice of homemade food.i had the liver and bacon and my friend had the ham egg and chips. Cooked really well thsnkyou Nick and team will be back

Food looks tired and not very fresh only has turkey rashers instead of bacon. Coffee horrible but hot chocolate is ok. Service is good but rushed. Very noisy atmosphere with screaming kids inside and out.

February 2025: this is the third vegan/plant based pizza I've ordered from Domino's. No problems with the first 2, however, today the pizza was disappointing. I suggest that a new quality checker is found as this one was obviously blind to the few pieces of real chicken on a plant based pizza they couldn't see. Whilst I understand Dominos don't care about cross contamination, as they warn about it, there is no excuse, when it's quality checked before being sent out, to miss a few pieces of chicken on a plant based pizza. To be honest if following basic food hygiene guidelines for food establishments, I'm not sure how a few pieces ended up on there in the first place. This could be easily rectified by using separate gloves, even separate areas and placing the pizza up high so non vegan ingredients can fall onto it. Very disappointed. I don't think I'll bother again. I'll order from elsewhere. It's such a shame Papa John's went as I never had this issue there. December 2024:First vegan pizza here. It was really tasty and clearly vegan. The Italian base was really nice. Unusual seasoning, but it really worked. I'd order it again. The chips were a bit disappointing but the pizza made up for this. Speedy delivery too. Great experience. Thank you.

I turned up staff inside door but locked, its 18.45 they could not be bothered to come to the door, awful wrong attitude. Food might be rated as good but if they can not be bothered to come to the door just to say closed. It's a gamble I won't take again. What a disappointment. Really phone before you come but their manners are awful.
