Great rooms, located very close to A road and multiple options adjacent to it

Very disappointed with this travel lodge. I booked two rooms with one being a wet room for my disabled mother.I paid for early book in but was only invoiced for one room ,my mistake but on arrival no rooms were available. I was told that they were full the previous night and I should have checked the website.We then had to wait until the rooms were cleaned and we were charged a further 15 pounds for the privalidge of waiting.The hotel its self was a far cry from the photos on the web site with litter struined all over the car park . When we eventually got to our room we were in an annex which was a very long way away from reception down very narrow corridors blocked by trolleys and the like not easy to negotiate.My mother's room was satisfactory and on first appearance so was ours, however,the bathroom could have been cleaner.After our initial experience the receptionist became more helpful.

We had unfortunately broken down after departing the chanel tunnel, with limited threads of my sense of humour remaining, the AA man recommend this Premier inn for being the closest to our location. We struggled to use the Internet to check availability and book, so I picked the phone up to phone directly. Having g spoken with the gentlemen on the reception phone he identified that due to the spring break lots of rooms were booked with no room in the inn so to speak for my family of wife, me and very tired 7 Year old boy who had been actively staying away for the 9 hour journey so far.... All that was available was a double bed. With another 4+ hours to travel at 11pm, in a broken car I took what ever was on offer. There was no discount to be had but he did share that the tinternet would be cheaper to secure the room. Not being able to focus, whizzed round on my phone and we were squished up on the bed. The walls are thin, so thin they I could hear people snoreing in the adjoining rooms, hearing every footstep of the guests as they bounced passed our room in the corridor too and from the entrance onto their rooms. The car park was tight and as we arrived so late at night it was understandable that the tightest two spots were left available, cannot moan as guests had free parking. 2 cups and a few hot drink condiments were in the room with the offer of more in reception. TV and air-conditioning/ heater in room

Big shout out to Callie (hope that's spelt correctly) on reception who was so friendly and helpful (despite the hour and us being very tired) and Sandra in the restaurant who was brilliant! Room was as expected, and breakfast great...but your staff are the ones who make it and these 2 were excellent!

Great place to stop before getting on the euro tunnel.

Wendy the receptionist was pretty rude. We arrived 15 mins early and she asked us what we were doing. She would only sell us an early check in even though it was 15 mins and no one else was there. We returned at half three and there was a queue of people waiting to be checked in. The other receptionist was helpful in finding us an alternative room because there was no operational lift.

I was very impressed with the rooms and the service, rooms were very clean and the workers were very helpful, if you want piece and quiet it's a perfect place

We had a very comfortable stay here just before Christmas. There was a small issue but this was quickly sorted by Sandra. Hope to stay again.

Have been coming to this hotel for years now due to its convenient location, comfortable beds and friendly and helpful staff who always greet you well and do their utmost to help you with whatever you need. A special thanks to Jacob down on the front desk for helping me out and being so kind and friendly- nothing is too much trouble. Not something that can be guaranteed in many places which is why I always stay here when I’m passing through

Totally inflexible when checking in. I was 20 minutes early and wanted to charge an extra £10 for the privilege so I had to sit and wait. 99% of premier inns will accommodate you within an hour if rooms are ready without charging extra

Was greeted with a strong smell of cannabis and that was just in the car park, main lift was out of use, so a long walk to the other lift to access room. Restaurant was on a booking service only. Location was on a commercial estate and the only thing in walking distance was car showrooms and McDonald's.

Clean rooms friendly helpful staff

You get exactly what you pay for! £38 for one night, a warm and clean place to sleep. Beyond that it is nothing more, but it costs £38.

I come to this hotel regularly due to friendly, helpful staff, a spacious room, comfortable bed and great amenities. Sandra, the Manager, is lovely. The carpark is large and the adjacent "French Connection" pub restaurant is ideal. The breakfast is very filling and lots to choose from.

A warm welcome was received upon arrival. Meals times and procedures were explained, as was parking (entering your number plate on a touch screen is required). The room is really smart and staff have been extremely friendly and helpful. I will most definitely stop here again.

We stayed overnight before a short drive to catch a Eurotunnel train at 4am. Unfortunately, the hotel fell massively short of our expectations, and we managed only 1-2 hours sleep due to a malfunctioning AC unit that only pumped hot air, repeated power cuts during the night (also occurred during leaving the room, so we had to shower and check the room by torchlight). The AC unit reset itself with associated noise and a different temperature setting through the night, so we had to have the window open in December not to boil alive. Walking to/from our rooms I noticed multiple guests enter their rooms and exclaiming that the room was unbelievably warm. Additionally, although Premier Inn can't control it, multiple boy racers with loud cars at 1am which disturbed sleep further. Premier Inn denied any problems, so it must have been all in our imagination. Be very careful about staying here if you need a quality sleep before a long drive or an early train/ferry! Extremely disappointing.

Stopped after travelling all day, our room was spacious, as usual the bathroom floor wasn't cleaned properly, but it didn't smell of damp! Unfortunately Premier Inn isn't as good as it was a few years ago, standards are really low and rooms are looking tired , all carpets could do with a deep clean.

Had a great stay at ashford, sandra was so friendly and gave us a selection pack for our children, that was extra special.

Jacob was extremely polite and friendly, he helped me with all my needs quickly and efficiently, definitely one of the best staff in the hotel

I arrived at 14:50 and was asked to pay £10 extra if I wanted to check in early before 3pm 😂 what a joke… Be careful with parking, you'll probably get a ticket, call the company and give your hotel reservation number and it’ll be fine.

I have been previously in other Premier inn but this one It is the one that has upset me the most. First at all, I arrive one hour before the checking and they made me pay 10£. Secondly, the room if has not proper ventilation and you can smell the damp atmosphere every moment even you my clothes after one day day have this smell on them. Finally, the check out It suppouse to be Up to 12. I have the cleaner calling the door few times before and just at 12 am when I was about to leave. I think there are plenly of things that they could improve but first at all the ventilation of the room which could cause health issues.

Always accommodating, we have disabled children and we are always put in a suitable room with lots of space. Very understanding of their struggles and puts us at ease to know we are welcome.

Really shocked at the state of Ashford Central. It really does need updating. The French Connection pub where we had breakfast has seen better days outside. Inside the blinds were ripped not straight. This place really needs looking at. Stayed at the premier Inn in Cambridge that was really nice. We always stay at Premier Inns but this unfortunately put me off slightly

Stayed here for the night as we are going on the channel tunnel to go to france was ok it was quiet just the air conditioning sounded like someone piddling in a toilet in room 103.

The hotel is a bit tired but overall ok, comfy beds, air conditioning worked well, just enough room for all 4 of us. The TV in our room didn’t receive many channels, there was no BBC, just ITV and Channel 4 plus their associated plus one etc channels. We saw lots of children while we were staying here over the summer holidays. The free WiFi was very slow, barely broke 1mbps. We didn’t test the paid for faster internet. We’d stay here again, it would be ok for a night or two.

Over night stay after a visit around Kent. The room we stayed is clean and quiet. Staff were helpful too.

As you would expect, rooms in tip top condition, tea, coffee, TV, shower 🚿 and a decent pub restaurant next door 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Excellent position, just off the m20 but central to all amenities within 10mins drive. Room quite spacious, lovely big bed, bath with shower over, very clean. Well equipped with kettle, tea and coffee available, hairdryer, TV, comfy chair. Would have liked a second comfy chair so we had one each to sit in. Air conditioning was a plus. For improvement, a working socket on both sides of bed instead if one and USB ports would be very helpful. Very pleasant and helpful staff, very quiet and comfy room. We ate breakfast on two mornings and dinner on 1st evening very good, from adjoining restaurant. Would highly recommend. Well done all keep up the good work.

Great location for an early start for Eurotunnel or Dover ferry port. Room was clean but the Table Table restaurant is in desperate need of renovation.

Your standard premier inn. But dated inside but pay for what you get.

Staff are nice and helpful, and the room was good, but what let it down was the water. Went to have a shower, and it was lukewarm at best. My pee is warmer than that! And because of health issues, my wife couldn't have a wash without getting cold. When my wife informed reception, they said it was due to having a full hotel, everyone using the water at once, and to try having a bath in half an hour! Was still the same half hour later and went to reception again. Got told they'll get maintenance out to have a look. They came and confirmed the water was cold, but said the tap was full of limescale, and that's why the water was cold and we were the first ones to mention it. Limescale doesn't build up that quick, and I doubt that would lead to cold water. If you can't guarantee hot water all day every day, irrelevant as to how many people are there, then to me it's not fit fit for service

I would of given 5 stars but the plug got stuck in the sink and water couldn't drain away but apart from that my stay was good.

Excellent location to get on the road early in the morning. Reception staff friendly, decent little restaurant across the car park, room was immaculate. Lovely breakfast in the morning.

Such friendly staff, lovely place to stay.

The hotel, no issues at all, great service and very helpful. Restaurant food was great but we had issues getting tables as a group with the rest of the family members who were staying and the manager seemed unhelpful getting us grouped together. We were waiting for someone to arrive so we were a little late but it did affect our enjoyment. Hopefully a one off situation but the manager seemed a bit rude to be honest.

Brilliant place to stay , always in Premier inns but when I check in Sandra always makes me feel welcome!! 10/10
