Only place I know that has gluten free vegan muffins, usually you have to choose between either gluten free or vegan but here I can have them in one delicious muffin. Good coffee too

cookie was good but the cakes when poor, oreo was way too sweet but red velvet had no flavour. The strawberry on the red velvet one was green and tiny it was a quarter of a strawberry

Lovely place for coffee and cake delicious

Stopped here on my way to work for a hot chocolate and ordered The Purple One Hot Chocolate. The regular size was huge and it was delicious! The staff are friendly. It is a bit loud in there when sitting down but that’s because it’s quite a big cafe and lots of people in there which I consider a good thing and contributed to a warm atmosphere. I have been here before when it’s been quieter which makes it a good place to have a cuppa and read a book.

Ordered a bagel, ate half of it then noticed the mould on the inside of the bagel, manager tried to tell me the green colouring came from the sausage and it was made fresh that day, not impressed at all

I like this place but the last two times visited, the toilets (they have two for both men and women) have had urine splatters all over the seat in both. This is exactly the reason female toilets should be separate to mens as its putting me off!

Bought sausage rolls and were stale when I complained to the manager he said they weren't there normal supplier and said he would report to the manager, I said he shouldn't be selling as they were stale and he just shrugged his shoulders will definitely not be eating in there again

Lovely here..First time we've been.Lovely coffee..and variety of cakes ..muffins paninis and toasties. Chicken tikka panini was delicious. Will definitely go back.

Orderd Americano and fruit toast Toast ok. But coffee was served with skimmed milk I didn’t ask for skimmed milk I wasn’t given any choices maybe they thought I looked like I needed skimmed milk ! ! . The coffee was weak so the watery milk made the whole coffee experience well null in void needles to say I left the coffee and left myself I am not one to complain I would rather let my feet do the talking well in my case my mobility scooter. Won’t be going there again.

Called in here for a coffee. Hand sanitiser base was without any sanitiser. Informed staff member of this when ordering coffee, acknowledged. Our coffee was brought to the table by a member of staff. Whilst sitting at our table we observed a male member of staff " wiping " four different tables with the same blue cloth. NO sanitiser / liquid cleaner was used at all, just the same cloth for four tables!! Not exactly what you expect in the current Covid crisis. We left after our coffee, and yes, still no sanitiser supplied for the public to use. Someone needs to put a correct cleaning practice in place in this establishment.

we have used numerous times prior to lockdown and always satisfied with the service and quality of food, however, after my recent visit, it is apparent that it was under new management as the staff weren't particularly friendly infact borderline rude, it would also seem the prices have rise and the food was not very pleasant, we shall not be returning to this establishment again!!

The worst breakfast I've ever had, staff were friendly enough, I ordered a bacon roll and a coffee, fairly standard request. Seems that they were incapable of preparing a hot roll. The same trend was with the coffee,may as well been a frappé. sat down in there seating area, which to be fair, was comfy enough and welcoming, but overall it's a no from me

Due to its popularity this decent sized café is often nearly full. I called in with a friend today and we had two nicely prepared skinny lattes. It's clean, although there's a play area for kids which should be removed!

We stopped for a morning break. Having a cup of tea and a flat white. There was an extensive range of muffins and cakes on offer too... The service was quick and very attentive

Go here regularly but I do avoid the muffins ironically as they are always dry! No matter what. The toasties etc are normally very good quality but this time they weren't heated well so the middles were cold and cheese not melted and no salad. We thought maybe they weren't doing side salad anymore but other people seemed to have it.

Food very tasty. Coffee fab. Only gripe for me was that my toasted brie and bacon roll was a bit on the hard side, but tasted good.

I have used this place several times & at every visit they have produced great coffee & great service. I use a walking stick & they always get me sat down & bring the coffee to me. Best in the town by far

Light bite lunch. A pleasure, to eat and drink in a quietly professional place. Clean, fast, and very helpful. The toasted cheese and tomato with basil was lovely.The smoothie hit the spot too. Half -one on a week day.

If there was an option, I’d have gone for 3.5 stars. Bacon roll was £3.95 and chicken tikka panini was about £4.65. In my opinion that’s more than I would expect to pay in Ashford. I had The Panini, which was nice enough but nothing amazing that would justify nearly £5. It was 3pm on a Sunday, pleasant enough, and buy one get one free muffins which were delicious and pretty big. Nice coffee too. I noticed that there is a member reward scheme so may be better value for money if you’re a regular, but as a one off customer a bit over priced.

Friendly staff. Delicious cakes and hot snacks. Plenty of room and a nice atmosphere to chat with friends. Always our favourite place to go when we visit Ashford. They run a loyalty card scheme too giving a free drink after a number of purchases.

Just popped in for a coffee and a muffin in my lunch time. Plenty to choose from here but settled on a double choc muffin and a flat white.

I met up with a fellow colleague here and I am coeliac. I was delighted they had an gluten free muffin but to then see it was stored next to foods containing gluten which means it has been cross contaminated!!!!!! I would think with all these scares of people dying from food allergies things like this should be carefully looked at. The gluten free foods need to be kept separate handled with different gloves etc!!!!! If I had eaten that I would have had reacted bad please sort it out muffin break it put me off returning completely and my colleague as it’s very unprofessional.

The coffee was very nice but the food was terrible.had a toastie was over £4 pounds was all flat and very tastlies.i would only ever have a coffee in here as the food is the worse toastie I've ever had.

First visit today and had prompt service from friendly and helpful staff. The coffee was excellent, hot and fresh. Sat outside at clean table and on a comfy chair and watched the shoppers go by. Adjacent to the popular Snow Dog art trail currently running throughout Ashford, Kent - so convenient for a quick break.

This glass fronted cafe is in the shopping centre to well located. It is clearly popular, service can thus be slow, but the staff are polite. I have had a few latte coffees and all are well priced and tasty ...but at the rear of the cafe is a children's cafe ....so you can expect lots of screaming youngsters and babies crying at certain times of the day ....be warned!!!

I went here for the first time yesterday and felt very relaxed what I had was excellent. Staff very kind and helpful. Would recommend going here 100% for a light lunch.

Shall not bother coming here again, coffee was awful and the salad garnish on my plate looked like it had been fished out the bin, lettuce is supposed to be green not brown and slimy. This was a good place for coffee breaks but not anymore.

As a rough guide I try to avoid the high street major brands and support local businesses, so when I was looking for a hot drink and sandwich to warm me up this lunchtime (it was cold and rainy!) we found this place and thought we'd give it a try. We had two hot chocolates and two warm toasted paninis (brie and bacon, and cheese with pepperoni and jalapeno). The hot chocolates were delicious and highly recommended and the paninis were pretty much what you'd expect. The only negative was when we sat down the table top was a little dirty but we had sat down immediately after some other people had left so this was not the staffs fault (we just wanted one of the nicer tables in the window). All in all although this is nothing special, as a high street coffee shop the drinks and sandwiches were nice and the decor also modern and attractive. I imagine we will return.

Went here for a lunchtime snack and had a gluten free savoury muffin. The muffin was extremely crumbly and impossible to eat as it just disintegrated, when gluten free cakes get old they become crumbly. Being coeliac for the last 48 years I am very knowing on gluten free food. Historically the muffins I’ve had here have always been good. I also had a sweet gf muffin which was perfect. Overall good food but this muffin let the review down. As a suggestion, if the savoury muffin didn’t have meat in it would be great as a gf veggie muffin as there was nothing my daughter could eat that was savoury apart from crisps!

Wholesome Sandwiches and savoury choices for those with a sweet tooth you will not be dissapointed. Plenty of seating in and outside. Can be expensive for a cafe.

Good situation. You can sit in the middle watching the shopping masses whilst you have one f the hmmm muffins and a pretty good coffee to boot, or hide inside. I prefer costa but it's a good back up. And pretty good fun tbh

This place has certainly improved since its refurbishment. The coffee and other drinks are good. The variety of muffins is excellent.The staff are pleasant and accommodating.I would recommend this as a coffee stop.The decor is definitely a positive change.

First time visit to this lovely cafe. A great selection of sandwiches and hot paninis. My wife had soup, i had the Xmas panini. Very good quality bread. Cakes looked extremely tempting too !

A large group of 10 children and 5 adults visited today. After a while 5 kids and 2 parents left. The remaining few sat happily playing and chatting next to the kids corner. Then the manageress came up and asked us to keep it down, and that other customers were complaining (1 who we had noted). We asked the kids to calm down and after finishing feeding one of the kids (7 weeks old!) We went to leave. On paying we mentioned that despite a kids corner, we were made to feel unwelcome.We stood outside for a while chatting, when suddenly the manager reappeared. She started to tell us how we should restrain our children more, and then said "well you just don't care less about your children", which we found exceptionally rude. One of our group said how dare she speak to us that way, and her reply was "you need to go to the doctors to get your hearing tested", while waving her finger at us, then pointed to the doors to the shopping precinct and said we have to leave county square "now!" I do hope no one else encounters this rude and arrogant woman Tania Kasperisinova. And I hope this company send her on lessons on customer relations.Shame because the rest of the staff and service are wonderful!

Stopped in for a pot of tea and a piece of carrot cake on Friday afternoon.It was quiet and I had time to relax and charge my phone. The staff were friendly and the seating area was clean.

We are always there most of the time... Honestly it's lovely being there whenever we want to have coffee break but only drawback I see is its very very noisy most of time... I think the staffs just care less about noise while cleaning cups and stuffs.. It is so noisy that you need to speak so loudly with your friends and you just feel you go deaf .. As we write the review for the improvement not for discouragement ... Other wise I love this shop..

This was a exceptionally noisy cafe. Staff throw China and cutlery around. You can't hear yourself think. Neither is it cheap. Children run around while their parents ignore them as they are on their mobile phones. Would never willingly visit again

Friendly staff, but....over-priced, the spinach and feta pie has been replaced by a thin slice of tart at £3-95 a go, the cheesecakes appear to be whipped cream and the base is about an inch thick. We had to clear our own table, then found ourselves sitting near the children's play area with horrendous shrieking being ignored by the parents. This place is over-priced (like all of it's kind), the queue was too long and the ambience non-existent.

Was very busy when I visited, we ordered hot chocolate and cake, managed to get a window seat which was nice. The staff were friendly and helpful, even when the place was so busy and a little bit frantic. The food is lovely and the drinks are great too.

Head straight for Muffin Break for the best coffee for miles, served by helpful friendly staff ...great eats too. I have mobility problems and cannot carry a tray but no matter how busy they are someone always brings my coffee for me .... And the coffee is nice and hot. My only complaint is that I wish there were more chairs with arms, there are four by the window and as I need a chair with arms (to help me get up) it is not always easy to get one ....I have been known to wait for ages just to get one rather than miss out on my coffee.

A typical chain coffee shop situated within a shopping centre. It has a nice selection of snacks to keep you going whilst carrying the shopping.

Muffin break has been part of our life but still however sometimes they lack making way of coffee we want even if it's "mentioned" to them and it's awkward asking for the next one repeatedly....Sandwiches are good but we feel the filling aren't much of what we pay... But overall we love going to this coffeeshop with friends/ relatives for some coffee break ..

This is my semi-regular Saturday morning coffee stop. As creature of habit I can only comment on the apple and cinnamon muffin and latte... This is what I always have. They are brilliant though. The muffins are always fresh and sizeable and the coffee is good too. Everyone always seems to be enjoying whatever they have so I have no problem recommending it. It can get very busy but we have never had a major problem getting a table to sit at. As an added bonus you get to try and work out what the little coloured disks mean when you order your drink. You will see what I mean if you go here.

Have lived in the area for a number of years and never tried Muffin Break, we thought we would give it a try. Luke warm hot chocolate, sandwich with far from fresh bread, bacon roll with more roll than bacon and my son waited so long for his burnt panini that we had all finished eating.All looks very nice but, never judge a book by its cover.

Waiting for a friend I got peckish and thirsty so decided to try the coffee walnut cake - a big slice good portion - plus the latte to eat in store Very good friendly service from behind the counter they had a laugh and a joke with me at the expense of the new girl serving, who took the teasing with a smile Very nice atmosphere will pop in again when I'm next in the mall Pleasant surprise!

This is a lunchtime type restaurant. Excellent coffee freshly brewed. Range of muffins, toasted sandwiches, sausage rolls and much more.

Very nice place modern interior and very friendly staff. The coffee was very good we enjoyed it very much. Would certainly recommend this place for a nice coffee with or without a pastry.

I visit muffin break often to grab a toastie or scone and I am never disappointed. I love their Veggie options - very nice to see!

They serve the most amazing, huge, fresh scones. I think I'm addicted to them! There's always a queue, annoying but I think that's pretty understandable!

Enjoyed a quick pit stop whilst out shopping with my husband. Muffins of which there were plenty of choice of and the coffee was good. Great if you are stopping mid morning, for coffee and muffin or cake otherwise menu somewhat limited.

Popped in here for coffee and hot choc. Short queue and whilst queuing we didn't enjoy the appearance of the tuna sandwiches in the cool counter ...talk about grey...these looked really vile. Undeterred we ordered our coffee and hot chocolate and staff were friendly and efficient.Be quick though... No good if you've not got your order ready, no time to dawdle here! (Vee iz very efficient)Might have nightmares about that grey sludge tuna to be honest (and the price?! Blimey, mega bucks for something that look distinctly stale and sewagey). Didn't fancy the huge hunks of expensive cake either, all stuffed up together and over sized/over priced, but the coffee and choc were really nice and there was ample seating.

This was a really good coffee shop - the selection of cakes and savouries is probably the largest I have seen - and they are super-sized! So great value for money, great selection - don’t forget to look behind the main counter as well as there are loads of cookies, muffins etc in addition to three shelves of cakes, sweets, and all the savoury options too. I also saw there are a good number of options for gluten free customers - and this seemed to go down well with them. Great shop inside as well, good amount of seating, all looked clean and tidy and again enough for everyone - you can also sit outside the coffee in the main shopping centre. The only thing that marred this a little for me was the way I was served - two people were serving at a time, great, but because I was one order and the person in front of me had a family to order for, my drink was sat on the counter waiting for the order in front of me to be run through the till while I just stood there waiting, my drink going cold and I was still clogging up the ordering process so it didn’t really solve any problems (just created them) as far as I could see. There was also no indication from the member of staff that my order was done or waiting or ready to go etc - she asked for my order, passed it on to the man operating the coffee machine and moved on to the next customer - not even eye contact to confirm my order, that it would be waiting, that my drink was that one sitting on the end of counter waiting and going cold etc - it did annoy me at the time but overall, it was a good experience and maybe just one of those things. They were busy so maybe it was down to that...either way, an experience I will repeat when back in Ashford and will be recommending to friends too.
