The Bull Inn in Ashford

After a long ride with some friends decided to stop in at the bull inn. Lovely place and felt welcomed by all the staff. We decided to get lunch as well as a drink. the lasagne was amazing and the food came to us quickly. Will definitely be returning on future ride outs.

Stopped by with a group of friends after a day out, the whole experience was just east. Parking up there was a large car park with plenty space which is always nice. The bar staff were very friendly and created a nice atmosphere. The food was also excellent and the portion sizes were large, safe to say no one left hungry! Overall couldn’t complain.

It is a pub we frequent about once a month for a meal. Though our food was good as was the service, my partner went to the loo only to see the chef leaving without washing his hands. We won't be back.

Awful experience. Booked to stay over for a weeding and prepaid. We received an email a few days before that there was an issue with the booking so we checked booking.com and everything was fine. We called the night before our stay to confirm our booking and asked for early check in and was told everything was fine with the booking. As we were about to leave the house the next day we received a message from the Bull Inn via booking.com saying that we cannot stay there as the system had double booked and we must cancel the booking on our side. We understand things go wrong but to not receive a phone call or an apologetic response is appalling and to make matters worse when we called to get more information we were spoken to so rudely and the lady put the phone down on us. To be disrespected in that manner was horrible, and the whole experience was so stressful. I highly recommend no one to book this accommodation. Dale Hill saved the day and were so lovely to us, please give them your money instead.

Truly excellent pub with a large selection of drinks on the taps and large menu. Everything we received was very high quality and delicious. We will all be back again soon.

Wednesday night's throughout the summer is bike night. What a great evening with lots of like minded fools!! Great burgers, company, and a pint.

Great bike night, great staff, great food. Arrived at 1930and parking was full. Needs less cars or a Marshall.

Really not impressed with Sunday lunch today. Food was obviously microwaved. Cauliflower cheese was watery, potatoes & Yorkshire pudding were soggy , only 1 slice of beef on my plate. To top it all , the place was alive with flies & the table was sticky. The staff were just standing around & one was covered in love bites . So last time I will be visiting!! Shame , as it’s the only village pub with a restaurant & could be a great place !!

Lovely pub, great atmosphere, cracking food, helpful and friendly staff, great beer garden and set in a scenic little village location. First class hospitality and service right across the board. Would highly recommend to anyone! Also hosts a great, well organised bike night with a barbecue once a month on a Thursday.

Great pub with decent selection of beers and really tasty food. It's close the several thrift shops and had a decent outside seating area to catch some sun. It's also dog friendly which is a bonus. Staff was friendly and food came quick.

Nice place. Pleasant staff. A very filling sandwich, maybe we shouldn't have had a side order of chips, but they were crisp and nicely cooked. A superb pint of Sussex ale. No complaints.

Visited The Bull for a Wednesday Biker evening, with my brother in law. Always good. Friendly group and a really nice burger. Plenty of staff to serve. Recommended!!

Always a good meal and friendly staff. Though my partner is not happy they have changed the recipe for hot wings!! We particularly like the steak night which is a Monday I think where you get 2 lovely steak meals and a bottle of wine. Might even go tomorrow..

We came across this pub accidently. Very warm welcome, but I think we arrived just after the lunchtime rush. The lady serving was a bit tired. Took a while to be served. Lovely menu, but food wasn't the best. Maybe we chose the wrong thing, because most of the food we saw coming out looked delicious. We would try this place again.

We had an amazing meal at The Bull Inn at lunchtime today. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming, even offering me some bitter to try as it wasn't a brewer I'd tried before (it was great, I bought a pint). The chicken Thai red curry was amazing, loads of food, great taste and nice level of spice. Both our meals were reasonably priced, large and not too quick or too slow in arriving. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to eat in the area

Lively pub, great food and atmosphere. They allow dogs 🐕 and do the best milkshakes ever. A good place to stop for a bite to eat. I forgot to take photos sadly but take my word for it, it’s really worth a visit ♥️

I visited this wonderful pub quite a bit before Covid but not since. We happened to be driving past on Saturday, returning from Tenterden, and i remembered where it was. In short, best food i have had for some while. The Blacksmiths in Ninfield is excellent, and this is right up there. Highly recommended. Great beer selection, great staff and very popular.

Enjoyable lunch time. Service was good. Only one real ale on the hand pump. I had the vegetable flatbread which was nice but had a lot of garlic on it, hence the 4 stars. The pie of the day looked amazing.

They managed to give us a table for 12.30 at short notice as we'd heard good things about their Sunday roast. We arrived early and were seated. Our drinks arrived promptly and we ordered 2 roasts and a liver and bacon. Absolutely delicious food and good value for money. £14.95 for a roast. The server informed us what roasts were on as there's no Sunday menu. Me and my mum shared the vegetable plate and there was more than enough. Really tasty beef and pork, roast potatoes and gravy. Will definitely return. Good idea to book and it was getting busy with people eyeing up a table only to find it was reserved. Worth the drive from ashford!

Booked a fairly last minute table for 19 people for a Christmas get together and could not have had a better experience. Really friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. Food (roasts and puds) was absolutely delicious and very generous. Thanks so much for a wonderful time snd being so accommodating of our little ones. We will be back for sure!

We had a superb meal here last night. The food was cooked and presented so well. I’m currently going through chemo and my eating is not good at the best of times but I had a prawn cocktail starter which was perfectly sized, I had a vegetable spring rolls starter which were lovely and crispy and a side of mushrooms that were very tasty. Hubby had fish and chips snd the fish was cooked to perfection - light and fluffy - I tried it too! Our friend had pork belly which he polished off. I also tried that - lovely! So often I order food and can’t eat it but not this night. Thank you for making eating a pleasure for me. We will be back again. And the service was spot on too!

What a lovely dining experience at the Bull in Rolvenden yesterday. I had one of the loveliest fillet steaks I’ve ever had, and cooked to perfection. Even the side salad was amazing! Not something I’d usually comment on. The young ladies who greeted and served me were fantastic! I’ll definitely be back. Thank you for a terrific meal.

Had a really lovely lunch here. Staff were very helpful and courteous. The food was freshly prepared and very tasty. I would recommend booking in advance though. We also booked into one of the lodges for the night, and they were spotless, spacious and very comfortable. Ross, one of the family who own the Bull Inn, was a fantastic host and made our stay a pleasurable one. Would definitely recommend it and will be back.

Amazing find on route back from Tenterden. Lovely staff from the moment we stepped through the door, showed to a restaurant table. Felt very welcomed and enjoyed taking time over the choice on the menu. I had the 'Clucking Big One' and mum the 'Veggie burger' as we had said it was a 'chips night!' Well ...we weren't disappointed....apart from the fact I couldn't finish it! Fab food, lovely atmosphere and a full belly. Thank you The Bull Inn 💪👍😁

Always good food and plenty of it

The lasagne was smothered in cheddar and tasted strongly of beef stock cubes the pasta overcooked. Shame because in the past the food has been nice, the macaroni cheese was sloppy and again smothered in cheddar, the service was very friendly

Mediocre Dining. Partners Roast was good but other dishes on the Menu need a bit of attention. Ploughman's was really poor. No Cheese or Onions. 4 walnut halves and a bit of Ham with a few leaves. Presentation was really poor. Dish should not have been advertised as Ploughman's. Onions may have been in the Side Salad but normally Onions would be of the Pickled variety.

As soon as we walked in, there was the WOW factor. Warm & friendly hosts & the food was amazing. The sweet & sour chicken (Hong Kong style) was the best Mum & I have EVER tasted (and at 78 & 53 that's some going!). Definitely recommend 100% and look forward to coming back again.

Breakfast was okay a little expensive.

My wife and I visited Kent and the surrounding areas for a few days and found this lovely pub! Kate was our server, she was very welcoming and friendly and even helped us with attractions we could visit nearby 😁 The food was amazing! There is such a variety: you have the normal pub grub options plus specials from around the world. I had sweet and sour chicken being very adventitious and I kid you not, better than any Chinese restaurant / takeaway. You can taste quality ingredients vs the local Chinese which we all know can be very greasy….. this wasn’t!!! My wife ordered their Garlic Chicken with Chips which reminded us of a visit to Greece a few years ago. It was so tasty - not a vein to be seen in the chicken DELICIOUS!!! Finally if you are a cider fan like me, they serve Apple Shed which is a lovely medium to dry never tried before and recommend!

We enjoyed a fantastic luncheon with special friends at the Bull, The food was just perfect and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Brilliant local and lovely pub to visit a lovely area. The young chef Nat deserves a mention well done.

Nice little pub in this charming little Kentish village. The service was friendly and cheerful. The food was really nice and better than one might expect for such a small settlement. The prices were good and the menu of the day an added bonus.

Took my dad to visit Rolvenden his place of birth and booked The bull Inn for a meal. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and generous portion sizes. There was 6 in our party and we thoroughly enjoyed our time we would definitely go back if we are that way again.

Went here on Monday evening whilst on holiday seeing friends in Kent. Barry and I had such a great meal, we returned, following day to treat two friends for lunch . We were served by a great waitress Jemma who had a great personality and is a great asset to the Pub. Hope they appreciate her - good staff are hard to come by. All our meals were great, beautifully presented and delicious, plus reasonably priced. Wish we had a pub local to us like this is Lincoln. We may well take another friend there for lunch on Friday🤗

We had some close friends come down to visit us and decided to pop into the Bull Inn at Rolvenden for some lunch, we hadn't booked in advance, fortunately they were kind enough to find us a table for 4. Our waitress was Jemma and she was absolutely fantastic, great sense of humour and incredibly pleasant and extremely efficient, wonderful young lady. The Bull Inn is dog friendly so that was an added bonus as our friends didn't want to leave their two dogs in the car as it was quite a hot day, Jemma even brought out two little dishes of assorted dog biscuits after taking our orders and bringing our drinks to the table, impeccable service. We were very impressed with the great selection of food on the menu, we asked if it would be possible to change a few items, this was no trouble at all, very accommodating and at no extra charge. The food was fantastic and cooked to perfection! I have attached some photos of the food we ordered, hopefully these speak for themselves as to the generous portions and the lovely presentation, really enjoyed our meal at the Bull Inn at Rolvenden, lovely atmosphere and I would highly recommend this as an affordable place to eat out, look forward to visiting again in the future. 10 out of 10 in all aspects.

The team were great, really friendly and attentive. Food decent in portion size and price. The Big Bull Burger main and the goats' cheese starter were highlights. The music playing was not too my taste. If you like nineties and noughties pop you are on for a winner.

Come home from a long days traveling, here’d many of good things about this place, an I thought I’d stop by with the girlfriend, had an amazing Sunday roast, staff were very accommodating food was fantastic defiantly worth a visit it if your passing !

Not overly impressed to be honest, very slow behind the bar although not very busy. Food was ok but things were missing from the plates, no chutney, sour cream etc. Went to ask but too long a wait. Shame as nicely decorated inside.

Stumbled across this please when another pub nearby was not serving food. What a find! Kudos to the chef, who was a lovely young man. Food was delicious (all of it - not often you get all 9 diners totally satisfied!) and drinks plentiful. Sunny, dog friendly garden too! Thanks for a delightful afternoon!

Family breakfast was a very good experience. Booking was easy and we received the warmest of welcomes on arrival. The service was excellent and the meal was top notch. This is a very good place to visit. It is spotlessly clean with a great decor that benefits from an eye to detail. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and time spent in this lovely country pub. Called on chance today. Friendly welcoming reception from staff. Ordered Pie of the week. Food was excellent, large portions and lots of fresh vegetables. Very good price. Will certainly return when in the area.

Lovely cosy fire and a very warm welcome from all the staff. We moved to the village recently and love the fact the Bull is a real pub with great pub food and excellent value for money. Plenty of outdoor seating for the summer.

We had a delicious meal at The Bull Inn Rolvenden this afternoon.. Great quality food at very reasonable prices! The lady that served us, Georgia,was extremely friendly, attentive and professional and a credit to the pub! Well done Georgia!! The Christmas decorations were fantastic! Just a lovely, wholesome country pub and we will be sure to come back again!!

OK Sunday lunch. Pity it was drowned in gravy. Perhaps better served in a small jug to allow the eater to decide how much and where it to pour it.

Had a family 50th birthday meal here yesterday and we were not disappointed. From beginning to end the whole afternoon was faultless. From the pub being decorated so beautifully to the generous portion sizes of our meal. Honestly the best meal out I've had in years!! Big shout out to the waiting staff who were just fab and nothing was too much trouble even though it was very busy. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for making the afternoon so special.
