I've only lived in the North West for 2yrs and in that time I've completely fallen in love with Mowgli's (Water St). I genuinely didn't think it was possible to find a restaurant to top it. However after visiting both Liverpool and Heswall Barton Rouge restaurants I've been blown away by the quality of service & food. I would not hesitate to recommend Barton Rouge to anyone and cannot wait to return. Thanks to all the staff at Heswall for helping me embarrass my uncle Shaun on his birthday tonight 🥳 🎂 🥮

A very friendly and enjoyable pub to visit, with a good food menu and pleasant atmosphere (families are made welcome). Pool table available and televisions broadcast Sky Sports - football, golf, boxing events. Comfortable seating and tables for customers and staff are very attentive. Seems to be very popular and professionally maintained. Highly recommended.

A lovely pub, that serves nice food, with a pretty outside area and lots of shops close by.

We’ve ordered from the millennium a few times but sadly will not be ordering again as the quality of food has gone really downhill. Lamb really tough, small portions etc. It used to be so tasty and good portions but now food is overpriced and tasteless not to mention they miss food off your order (takeaway)

It is very unusual for me to leave a bad review, as I always try to find something positive to say but, apart from pleasant staff, my experience this morning was dreadful., My husband went in for breakfast at 9.45 whilst I kept an appointment in Heswall. He only wanted a bacon roll and tea but no bacon. He settled for a ham sandwich, which they only chargedat the bacon roll rate. I arrived at 10.45 and my receipt shows I ordered at 10.49. I ordered 2 toast and one tea and one cappuccino. It was not busy and only three tables were served whilst I waiting for my order - toast & a drink for one table, a table of 2 with snacks and drinks and the third was just a gentleman having a single coffee, who was the only person at the till when I went to order. 25 minutes later, I approached the till to ask if I had been forgotten, to be told I was next up. It took 25 minutes to be served 2 toast and 2 drinks, when the cafe was not even busy. The staff apologised & I was given a card for a free drink on my next visit, which I returned, as I have no intention of returning to the cafe. To make matters worse my coffee was half in the cup and half in the saucer and the cappuccion was barely luke warm - how can that be with steamed milk? There was also no froth - it was more like a flat white with chocolate sprinkles. I didn't complain further, as, quite frankly, I didn't have the time - waiting so long actually made it very tight time-wise for a later appointment. Very, very disappointing and this when they were not even busy????

I visited WYLDE coffee pretty much everyday while looking after my ill mother. They were always super kind and friendly. The coffee is really, really good and the menu is imaginative and delicious. I also visited the bakery and again the person who served me was very understanding and generous. Thank you to all the staff who make the difference.

Recently had our engagement party at the upstairs part and the venue was perfect! Brilliant set up & was amazing for friends and family to celebrate with us. Gorgeous venue, friendly staff & Jenny who helped arrange everything was so helpful. She made sure everything was perfect for us and it absolutely was! Would highly recommend. Had the best party and couldn’t fault a thing. Thank you to Jenny & the staff for everything! 🙌
