We had the pleasure of hosting our daughters baby shower with your room hire on Sunday 12/08/24.nothing was too much trouble for the owners nick and jen.the booking of the room was done easy and terms and conditions set out clearly.i could communicate by email or whattsapp and replies were swift .the function room is above the nyx bar and grill. On the day nick and jen worked so hard to get drinks,we had drinks on arrival,prosecco and an amazing outside terrace which is the showstopper for nyx.loads of room and beautiful tables and parasols. The sun shone all day,which was an added bonus. The terrace had bifold doors which opened fully onto terrace. There was loads of room fir entertainment and we had the music facing the terrace which was superb. Loads of tables,clean toilets . You can have your own catering which was a bonus and the room has a beautiful flower Wall. We had 50 guests and there was plenty of room . We laughed,danced,played bingo ,listened to music,and where treated with upmost of service. Nick and jen worked tirelessly all day and delivered a wonderful service. I would definitely recommend here for an occasion, party and lots of fun 😁

Booked the upstairs venue room for our 40th wedding anniversary and we couldn’t have chosen better -the room looked lovely when we arrived the staff had gone ti trouble to cover the tables and set it out nicely before we arrived with our own decorations-nothing was too much trouble for them in helping us set up The bar staff were really warm and friendly and worked hard all hard all night to serve quickly with the owner checking in regularly that we were happy with everything -toilets spotlessly clean - wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this venue to others

Great for sport with 10 tvs. Late bar to 2am weekends. Pool table and good selection of drinks. Loads of drink offers over the summer

Had our engagement party at NYX last night and the venue was perfect for us with a really nice outdoor terrace area. The staff were all friendly and helped the night run smoothly

Brilliant band on to celebrate the first birthday and the DJ was great Staff friendly and polite and drinks reasonably priced. The only downside is the toilets,3 unisex ones but it's pitch black and was difficult to see round there.

We celebrated my girlfriends 50th birthday party, we all had a fantastic night, location was perfect, service was excellent, very friendly and helpful. Well done to Jenny and her team 👍

Ruined my granddaughter's 18th birthday party. She is so upset that you charged her £150 for room +150 for dj then closed party down because her mum, me (her nan) and grandad couldn't stay until very late due to our ill health. Why couldn't you just ask for everyone's ID when they arrived? So a very bad experience for all.of us.

We went in to book a room and Nick was welcoming, friendly and efficient. We are looking forward to our event.

First time going to nyx and I have to say it was a great night out.. would highly recommend and be returning

The staff at the NYX sports bar and grill were very accommodating and helpful! They played whatever music we wanted, made sure we were all looked after and even took lots of group photos for us! We were a group of approx 50 people celebrating a long week. We had a great night and would highly recommend going there!

I recently had a private party upstairs and had the best night ever! Can't recommend this place enough for anyone looking to host an event or even to visit downstairs to watch the sports. The function room itself was a perfect space for our party. The service throughout the night was impeccable. The staff were attentive, and friendly, and assisted with anything we needed. Great buffet selection & amazing cocktails!!! If you're in search of somewhere new and modern with a fantastic function room, excellent food/drink, and a good atmosphere, Nyx is your go-to! Highly recommend this place for your next party or night out with friends. Thank you Nick & your team!

If you never go anywhere, go here the least. Beer - rank Food - godawful Aftereffects- smelly Also the pool table is on the wonk and the fancy dartboard is sh!t £2 for pool is a goddam travesty

It was freezing cold and on the balcony it was icy and very slippy reported it to staff as everyone was sliding

Came for staff Christmas night out. Great value food, friendly service and the music was fab for us 'oldies' until midnight. (But perfect to change it then.) Only lost a star as they cleared my delicious meal away while I was away from my seat!!

Just had a great night at the paradox the food and the service was great.

Food was a mixture of fantastic and ok.. Drinks took literally forever to come, larger was probably the worst I have ever had.. Cocktails very weak fir the price

We all had a brilliant time for Sals birthday bash. This place is amazing

Tribute night. Tickets oversold. Large group of intimidating middle aged women were allowed to move furniture around and create a large area were glasses were then smashed, abuse was thrown and hostile behaviour was not tackled by staff even when pointed out. Everyone else was seated and trying to eat. Prior to this my friends and I had visited several times and always found the staff the service and the food good. To be intimidated into leaving before we had finished eating and before the tribute act we had paid to see is very unfair. We will not return as it is not a safe venue.

Food is incredible. Would definetly recommend the grilled meat platter. Great atmosphere and decor. The customer service is always so welcoming, will definetly be returning

Way way too expensive, but a nice place , was taken back by staff speed. Guess they were new ? Anyway I think a re think on price needs some attention, when Spoons opens it will take alot of customers away from you

We recently hired the upstairs area for a baby shower, and have to say how pleased we were with the way everything was set up for us, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Really impressed and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this venue.

I’ve just travelled from Liverpool5 for this Roast Dinner on a recommendation from a friend , I. Call myself the Roast Hunter as I’m always looking for a nice Roast Dinner on a Sunday Afternoon!!!! Well well I wasn’t disappointed I had Topside Roast Beef wichbwas suculant and tender , the roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the vegetables were cooked to perfection!!! And the Gravy was delicious and very tasty.All the staff were very attentive and always checking everything was ok . Overall one of the nicest Roasts if had . Well done Paradox I will be back to try rest of the Menu as all good looked amazing

A very chic place without being pretentious. A real gem worthy of being in New York or Paris. Love it!

The music is alright and plenty off women inside, I was only meeting a friend there at the end off a night so did not stay for long. Dress smart (no trainer's) take I'd with you and be prepared to have your photo taken on the way in. It cost me £3 to get in witch is why I rate it 3 stars.

First visit to Paradox, recommended by a friend. Very warm and friendly reception from the staff. Food was excellent. We both had soup of the day to start, butternut squash and sweet potato, absolutely delicious. To follow, roast beef. The whole meal was excellent and the service was brilliant. We will return, fully recommended.

What an amazing place. More than 20 of us went there to celebrate 60th birthday of our colleague/friend. We had the best experience of very tasty food. Everyone had the food at the right time, nobody had to wait, no one had any complaints about food or staff. I even ordered an extra food to take home for my hungry hubby. Staff didn't mind it, they were very pleasant and helpful. Will defenitly visit again. 😍😍

Sunday roast was amazing defiantly worth it's money. Beer is reasonably priced. Would defo recommend to anyone.

What can I say....the staff are the nicest, mist helpful and pleasant on the phone and in person. The food is lovely the restaurant is clean and modern and the toilets are spotless. Our favourite restaurant ever.

This place needs closing down.... people getting glassed, beat up threatened with broken glasses.... need bouncers inside keeping people safe avoid at all costs have to give it a 1 star because it wont let me leave it blank.... someones gling to get seriously hurt here no control!!!

Fabulous meal from Paradox's new menu last night simply stunning food & great friendly service!

Doormen rude and bullying, towards a very vulnerable young man. Bar staff waiting on staff and food is nothing short fantastic. I would of loved to come back, but just feel after what I saw, ie the way the doormen deal with situations that could be easily avoided, not escalated. I will not be coming back. :( doormen need better training.

This place is rough as hell makes out it a lovely and class no class about it the there was a man outside the door mans friend he was very aggressive ask him for his badge number as thought he was working there reply was dont start me do you know i will do things very threatening and very frightening would never go there again ever and would not recommend it stay clear should not have to feel ike that when going out for evening some of the staff that work there serving were really nice such a shame
