High quality food great atmosphere - there more kitchen than eating area !

Lovely burgers and so much choice and even an option to build your own all served on a brioche bun. Selection of different fries and also a great low carb option which was a beautiful steak sourced from the local butcher. Very friendly staff and overall opinion is that its well worth a visit. We will look forward to our next time..

Delicious food, quick service and really nice decor. The Sloppy Joe and karaage chicken were particularly tasty and we loved the spooky Halloween buns. Will definitely be back.

Phenominal burgers with noticeably fresh, good quality ingredients 👌 The different fries with your choice of cajun, salt and pepper, or parmesan and truffle seasoning and toppings were very tasty. Friendly service. 100% recommend.

I've been a regular here for a few months now, and it's always been such a great atmosphere, the staff are friendly, accomodating and the venue is intimate, cosy and always good fun. It's the beating heart of Heswall and if you fancy getting away from the main strip for a nice beer (Alhambra on draft 💪), good food and a cosy atmosphere, pop down. Booking isn't essential most nights, but I'd always give them a ring just incase. Tremendous.

If you feel like paying between £18-22 for an average hamburger this is the place for you. Small glass of wine £7.50. Awful black decor, miserable staff. Uncomfortable seating.

What a fabulous evening we had in bun..... we decided to go for the duck for a change from burger.... so delicious 😋!! Tasty and succulent!!! My partner had chicken supreme... Absolute 10/10!!! Lived on the Wirral nearly 2 years and would say this is the best meal we have had out on the Wirral since moving. Service was lovely, drinks great and the food is banging. Will be back :)

NEW MENU IS AMAZING. We went in to try the new menu last night, it was amazing. Sirloin steak was done to perfection. Cajun chips as always are the best ever and chicken wings were lovely. Mac and cheese never fails. Service was fast and served with a smile. Love it here.

Great menu, great burgers, don’t like the added service charge, it’s not a restaurant. Make it a customer add on, assuming customers are willing to pay your staff extra is not a good strategy. Would recommend however.

Been a few times now, though honestly not sure we’ll be back. The taste/quality of the food is generally good, although last night the burger was a bit too pink for me and only lukewarm. The guy that served us was fine, cheerful and attentive, good lad. But the guy behind the counter who greeted us with a total of 2 words “Yeah?’ then “surname?” before pointing to a table could defo do with a some customer service training, it’s surprising how something so simply can spoil the atmosphere for us hence the 3* ratings.

I was really looking forward to trying the food here the pictures of the burgers, chips and desserts looked amazing. But, never book somewhere based on pictures !!!! The food looked nothing like it was advertised. The burger was ok but nothing to write home about, expensive for what you got. Chips were just from a frozen bag with some cold cheese chucked over them but worst was yet to come 8 quid for a tasteless chocolate brownie and tasteless ice cream with a bit of tasteless sauce drizzled over it. How they can charge £8 for that is beyond belief. They said they could do us some non alcoholic cocktails but all they did was put some juice into a cocktail class and charged us £5 for the privilege, really !!! 5 quid for a glass of juice 🙄 I don’t have money to burn so it was very disappointing that I spent so much money here only to receive such poor quality food.

The place is small but welcoming, I used it for a stop on my way back from Liverpool towards Chester. The staff was very friendly and the service was quick. The hamburger meat was very good as were the chips... they were not made in overfried oil.

We love this place. The food is Devine. The whole family love to dine here or enjoy at home. My husband & son always pop in to the restaurant to enjoy a drink before collecting our takeaway, very chilled vibe. The staff are very accommodating & the service is great. Thanks guys

Visited here for the first time last week. We weren't disappointed. Loved the decor and the food was top notch (big portions too). Highly recommend.

Upon our arrival, we we’re greeted by our wonderful hostess, Jessica, whom provided wonderful recommendations along with classy & swift service with a smile. Jessica genuinely added to our sensational experience in such a fun & friendly manor.

It was really good experience for me! I could enjoy the atmosphere and service of bun as well as the meal. I have never eaten such delicious burgers before! I want to come here again.

Had a fabulous Sunday Roast at Bun. Great food with a wide selections of vegetables and all the trimmings. Plentiful fresh food and brilliant service. Even had a cheeky Amalfi Spritz off the cocktail menus too. Well worth a visit, traditional roast meets modern and chilled atmosphere.

Got a voucher for Christmas so thought we'd give it a go. Place was small but quite trdndy and seemed like a nice place to eat. I ordered the burger with blue cheese and chips my wife ordered a cheese burger with skin on chips. The staff were nice and didn't take long for our food to arrive, it looked nice . Unfortunately the burger meat was disgusting, I've never tasted a burger that bad. I'm one of those people that doesn't like to complain about food, if I'm out for a meal and it's just about edible I won't moan just won't go there again. But after trying the food at BUN was the first time on my 55yrs that I've had 2 bites and left all the rest and left the restaurant.

Bun’s brilliant. Food, chef, everything. Taco Tuesdays is particularly good. Highly recommended.

I recently visited the BUN having heard good reviews from friends and family and was not disappointed! I ordered the sharing platter which was immense. I highly recommend a visit!

Came for tacos and beers, spicy, fresh and delicious. Oli and team are great, definitely recommend. Great outside area to sit and watch the world go by!

Great food teamed with a great vibe and attentive staff! We went for taco Tuesday and each taco I had was full of flavour , my favourite being the prawn one! We can’t wait to come back.

Went here for my birthday with family. Had the all you can eat chicken on Thursday. Although thighs listed they were not included (not mentioned) but replaced with a chicken taco which was very tasty. Pity though as thighs are my favourite. Also, when we later looked at the bill we had been charged for the slaw even though it is listed as part of the deal. Check your receipt! All in all though a good evening and will be back I am sure.

First rate casual burger joint. They have great veggie & vegan options, I had a 'beyond' burger for the first time as part of the 'spicy goat' and was impressed. Good drinks menu, decent deserts too 👍

We were at Bun for the first time and weren’t disappointed. It clearly is what it says on the tin and is largely a burger experience. The decor is modern and chill. The place was clean and friendly and staff (Tabs and Holly) were an absolute delight, efficient, polite and super helpful even negotiating a tricky order! Bun has specials most nights which is a great pull. I over ordered at the chicken fillets were big which is always nice. Good food, great service, nice price. No complaints!

Had a lovely roast at bun today made by the charming chef kyle, everything was perfect a genuine 10/10 and I will definitely be coming back for another soon, would 100% recommend. Amazing atmosphere as a whole and front of house staff Tabs was delightful aswel

It's a very small restaurant and there was just one young girl behind the bar. The first impression was not good, as I entered, she gave me a look as if I was the "bin man" coming through the wrong door into the restaurant. She waited for me to say what I was doing there! Maybe she was doing work experience? but needed coaching on " meet and greet" skills. which were nil. I liked the look of the brisket on their internet images but what came sadly didn't look anything like as good. I suppose it would be a stretch to expect it to be carved steaming hot off a "just-cooked" slab of meat. I wouldn't order this again. had a slight stomach ache etc. the next day. The highlight of the meal was the fries. Good and crisp and a generous portion.

Big shout to Rosie who looked after us. It was are first time at the Bun but our friends have been a few times before. Well worth a visit, good food friendly staff.

We regularly visit bun and are never disappointed both food and service are always excellent. We particularly enjoy the chicken wings and tenders. Today we have tried the new taco Tuesday menu which was lovely. We especially liked the brisket taco. Great service provided by Holly who was very attentive. Will no doubt be back on a Tuesday again!

I’ve sat in here a number of times & had their takeout. These are hands down the best burgers I’ve ever had! Always top notch. It’s a real trendy vibe inside too with friendly staff. I’d definitely recommend this place.

We've had takeaway from bun on a number of occasions and it's always been excellent. We were walking past this evening and managed to get a table without a booking so thought we'd try something different. The Sharing Platter was amazing! Succulent rump steak in garlic butter, teriyaki brisket and chicken wings and tenders with a side of fries to mop up the juices. It was all superb and excellent value for money. Service was friendly and a great place to sit and enjoy the glorious weather with a pint or two. We'll definitely be eating in again soon!

We have just moved to Heswall and decided to try a few locals restaurants. With it being a nice day we opted for a simple hamburger and decided to try Bun. We are familiar with Fat Hippo in Liverpool and this place looked fairly similar. Our reservation was booked easy enough and we took a short walk there. On arrival we were greeted by a pleasant waitress and shown to our seats. Please be mindful this place is incredibly small which is no bad thing. There was a Sunday roast option available which to be fair looked not bad. We both choose different burgers and a side of macaroni and cheese. The burgers arrived and in honesty were pretty poor. The buns were soggy and the beef extremely salty. The fries were average however the macaroni and cheese was clearly microwaved. We didn’t finished and after whilst our plates were being cleared my wife asked politely if it had been microwaved. The waitress was rightly mortified and said no and in her defence she did ask the chef. A small reduction was added to the bill but at over £50 this place just does not reflect the price.

Lovely breakfast I was not fussed on sour dough break really tough to chew. Staff were friendly. There was a bit of a wait for food and our group were the only ones in there so dread to think what it would be like if it was busy. However breakfast was worth the wait. Clean trade areas. Less of the Peashoots all over food.

Love this place! The atmosphere is great and the staff are incredible (Rosie & Stephie?) - this was our third visit but they make you feel so welcome and like good friends - the management are clearly doing something right to have staff this good. The cocktails are also the best we’ve had and great value. Heswall needs more BUNs and we’ll definitely be back.

Went for food with some friends and had a lovely time, the service was great, our waitress (Tabs I think?) made sure our drinks weren't empty and that we enjoyed the food, plus the food was great quality as they use a local butchers. Overall we had a really pleasant experience in a very nice atmosphere, would happily come here again for well priced and good quality food. Happily recommend for anyone looking for a chill night out.

Spent Friday night in here with some friends. Had a Wolf burger 🍔. Food was excellent as was the Japanese beer. Staff were friendly and helpful, would definitely visit again.

The servers were great! Fantastic during lockdown, but having not visited for a year, we feel that the quality has definately gone down hill. The burger was a real disappointment having eaten here a number of times before, quite bland. Cold ribs and missing the onions, they were reheated by the staff after bringing this to their attention. Staff were also giving us the eye to leave when they wanted the table back after an hour.

A bit late writing this review as we went on New Year's Eve for lunch. It was our second visit and both have been fantastic - great food in a lovely atmosphere and the team are really welcoming too! Best place in Heswall for me! We'd been to wagamama a few days before and were pleasenty surprised by the value here. Our whole meal for two came to £50 - £15 less than wagamama. A great spot to eat at!

I recently visited B.U.N and was blown away by the atmosphere and delicious menu. The decor was warm and modern, creating a perfect vibe for a night out with friends or with the wife. The menu offered a variety of unique burger options, all of which were cooked to perfection. I particularly enjoyed the all you can eat chicken offer which had a creative combination of flavors. The drinks menu was also impressive, with a wide selection of beers and creative cocktails. The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great burger and a fun atmosphere

Just had best roast dinner for a long time. Beef, pork and chicken so tender they just melt in the mouth. Vegetables all cooked to perfection. Really generous portions. There is a lovely friendly atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, If you haven’t tried it yet you are missing something very special. We are definitely heading back soon. 👍👍
