Fabulous Sunday lunch. A choice of Rare beef chicken pork belly or lamb shank with cracklingg. Can t fault it. We will be back.

All had the lamb roast (pre book as EVERYTHING is fresh and home cooked)!!! Quite simply the best roast dinner I’ve ever eaten out!!!!! The quality of the food and portion size was outstanding! This is a gem of a bistro. Staff fantastic, friendly and helpful. Eatery was perfect temperature, spotlessly clean, and a great family table. Just felt so comfortable in this restaurant!!! Had best birthday meal in a long time! Took a lot of lamb home in a ‘doggy bag’… curry or stew sorted 👍 Can’t thank you ALL enough for looking after us today xxxxxx

This restaurant always delivers. Service, food and ambience of the highest quality. It was our go to place to eat 4 years ago when we lived in West Kirby. We returned whilst on a holiday in the area and it was like going home. Daniel was his normal welcoming self, knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. Good to see Mike back in the kitchen. Food was excellent and fantastic value for money. Will definitely return on our next trip to the area.

I absolutely loved it here for my impromptu date with my partner. The food was delicious and you definitely get your money's worth! The staff were so friendly and accommodating, helping me out with my wheelchair and making sure the food was okay for me. I loved the interior design, so unique! The ambience was great, I really reccomend it.

A table for lunch was booked, but when we arrived due to the busy breakfast/brunch diners still seated we had to wait. This situation was dealt with by the staff calmly and considerately by offering us a drink while we waited on the house. A nice touch. A 15 min wait sitting at the pavement table wasn't a problem on a pleasant day. Once we were able to be seated we were thanked profusely for being so understanding. As I said. not a problem. For starters we had Halloumi Fried and Mac and Cheese bites which were both very good. Mains of a Double Patty Cheeseburger with Truffle and Parmesan Fries which was superb as was the Roast Beef with all the trimmings including a massive Yorkshire Pudding. The gravy was delicious! A great visit and we'll get back there again when we can.

This is great if you want to be filled for the whole day. We had the Philly cheesesteak and it was the best food I have ever had you have to come here before you die it’s just amazing.

Ordered a takeaway from Grand Ave via Deliveroo slight problem with order sent a message via messenger which was responded too and dealt with immediately. A team who go above and beyond for their customers absolutely fantastic service and delicious food.

Excellent food. Excellent service. We've been coming for years and it's wonderful every time! This American style restaurant has a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere - and the buttermilk chicken burger never fails to please. (And we love the music!)

We called here today, 6th of January 2024, and had a jerk chicken burger each, with fries. The fries were served in a separate pot that was hot, so it kept the fries hot and crispy. The burger was lovely, really good, with pineapple salsa. I was pleased with the loos too, being separate individual cubicles. We'd be happy to eat here again next time we're in West Kirby.

Always excellent. Had dinner here with the wife and kids and am always amazed how consistently good the food is despite the wide reaching menu choices. Cooked well, tasty and presented beautifully. For me it’s consistently best restaurant in West Kirby and as a result we go back time after time. The service is always excellent too.

Stopped in by chance really, because we got a parking space and had some business across the street. Were really happy we did. Coffees were large, decor is literally funky - Motown album art on the walls and a back wall is a giant graffiti gorilla telling you to try the buttermilk pancakes. Haha. Service just great - welcomed, sit anywhere. However the star was the food. Partner had the full English which looked beautiful and bountiful, and I had medium rare steak and poached eggs. Menu said 6 ounce rump steak, and I expected a small steak that would be on the tough side but it arrived beautifully tender, seasoned and cooked well. We both enjoyed the hash browns which were crunchy outside and fluffy inside and not your usual. The poached eggs were also great, with just enough hollandaise to make them indulgent. Would be great to go again and would even pay to park next time!

Lovely place to eat good portions, really tasty food ,really nice staff and lovely atmosphere.

We were lucky enough to visit on a Thursday night for the surf and turf. And oh my word - what a treat. We had the tomahawk steak between us, and 1/2 a lobster each. The beef was perfectly medium rare, rich and full of flavour, served with the best peppercorn sauce I've ever had. The lobster was fantastic, and the sides also perfect. Daniel was as accommodating and hospitable as ever. Best place to eat in West Kirby by a mile.

Sunday I needed a Caesar Salad in my life! We chose to go to GRAND AVE. in West Kirby and booked a table for 1:30. We arrived and I told the girl behind the bar that I did a last minute booking for a table for 2, with her response being "Are you Jennifer for the Caesar Salad"..... Sat down and I had a Heineken 0.0 and Liam had a hot chocolate 🍫 which came with some whipped cream 🍦 I obviously already knew what I was ordering but decided instead of Chicken, I'd have halloumi.....little different. Liam chose the Chicken Katsu burger with an upgrade to Truffle & Parmesan fries 🍟 His burger arrived first and it was chicken, chicken and more chicken....he had to cut it with a knife it was that big 🍔 Mine arrived and I thought it was enough to feed the five thousand 🤣 I was quite surprised it had both chicken and halloumi...which was fine with me! It was SOOOOO GOOD! It even came with a cheese crisp (is the best way to describe it) which was a really nice touch. The service was wonderful! Definitely can't fault that 🙌 The only criticism was when the bill arrived I was charged as if I asked for a Chicken Caesar Salad with added halloumi which was a bit of a disappointment but maybe it was miscommunication as there is a Chicken Caesar or a Halloumi Caesar. Next time I will try one of their Roast Dinners as they looked amazing....with a Yorkshire Pudding as big as your head 😱

Came for the surf and turf steak night this Thursday evening and it was honestly the best steak I've eaten for a long time! Had the cheese and bacon baked potato option and wow! Was delicious and so big I was stuffed!! Can not wait to come back again. If anyone is looking for an amazing steak get yourselves here. Daniel was so helpful in explaining the menu to make sure we got the right choices and wine pairing with our meal. And a free brownie to finish!! We couldn't ask for any more!

Came for Thursday Surf & Turf evening for the first time, was absolutely perfect! Daniel made sure we knew all about the cuts and what wine was best to pair our meals with. Will be back! Thoroughly recommended!

We had a fantastic meal, everything was so fresh and cooked perfectly. I had the Katsu chicken burger and my partner had the striplion roast. We ate pudding too and it was AMAZING . The sticky toffee pudding is the best I have ever had - it was beautiful - sadly we ate them so quickly I didn't get time to take a picture 😂. The food and drinks were also really reasonably priced and the staff were really friendly. I can't recommend Grand Ave enough, we will definitely be back.

What a great find this restaurant is. We were in the West Kirby Tap next door and the pizza kitchen was closed. The brilliant staff next door recommended we pop here and they would allow the food to be brought into the pub. We ordered the three bao bun meal, cauliflower wings, salt and pepper chicken and wontons. Each dish was fresh and delicious and come in at £30, with the takeaway discount. We ordered next door and they kindly brought it to our table in the Tap. We'll definitely pop in for a meal in the restaurant. Very impressed.
