Wylde Coffee in Wirral

I visited WYLDE coffee pretty much everyday while looking after my ill mother. They were always super kind and friendly. The coffee is really, really good and the menu is imaginative and delicious. I also visited the bakery and again the person who served me was very understanding and generous. Thank you to all the staff who make the difference.

Cracking place, excellent service, good food, well prepared and really nice coffee. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Been a few times now and not been disappointed.

Had toast, disappointed that they have stopped peanut butter due to allergies. Lovely coffee but warm not hot enough! !

Walked up to Wylde from the nearby Premier Inn to get a late breakfast/early lunch. We had poached eggs and smoked salmon with avocado which came on potato cakes, so a bit different and delicious. Had some sourdough toast too - lovely.

Best coffee on the Wirral, really friendly efficient service & very tasty food! Would highly recommend! The flat white is perfectly made by a trained barista with excellent milk texturing! If you are into well made espresso coffee - this is your place!

You will not find better valued food in the Wirral for brunch/breakfast. Menu is simple but so varied with flavour. The chef has done amazing things with different ingredients. You have to visit here for food.

Lovely little cafe but the miserbly frosty and unfriendly staff are so off-putting. With so many reviews commenting on this, why don't the owners do something about it (other than post a reply that poor reviews are damaging to small businesses).

Only popped in for a couple of coffees. Surprised how pleasant the ambiance was plus pleasant staff and the best coffee I have had for years. Perfect Cappuccino with an extra shot and the bride had an excellent flat white. Menu looked brilliant,will be back to try their cooking!

Came for brunch with my partner and our dog at the weekend, it was super busy but the team were lovely and made us a takeout coffee to sit on the benches outside until a table became available. I've lived in cities and the coffee here is right up there. It's a gem here on the Wirral. You can tell everyone is well trained, similar to their other places. The brunch is no different. We read some reviews saying that the staff were cold, but that just wasn't our experience at all. They couldn't have been more welcoming, despite being rushed off their feet. Will absolutely be back; especially now I know they grind beans in store to buy too

I’ve been coming to Wylde for years but the last few visits have been severely underwhelming. I find the welcome from the staff a bit frosty, the coffee has been luke warm, I’ve had to wait 15 minutes for a takeout and pay over the odds for the pleasure. Seems like it’s lacking the basics.

I usually go to lateral in West Kirby and enjoy the coffee , atmosphere, welcoming staff and food. So whenever I’m in heswall I go to Wylde hoping for the same experience. However the twice I’ve been I find the place oddly uncomfortable. When walk in it feels cold and lacking atmosphere. The staff barely acknowledge you making it feel a tad awkward. Not very engaging and warm approach. I thought the first time it may just been a one off but this recent second time visiting was just as bad. Coffee came super quick , not a good thing , it was rushed as clearly having a customer is a nuisance therefore they must be gotten rid of asap, and the coffee was given to me luke warm. It’s strange that a business with multiple venues have such a difference of approaches in each one. Surely training standards are same etc? Someone said to me once when I managed a team “you can give people the tools they need and teach them skills to do a job , you can’t change their attitude” …..just a thought. Customer service makes a big difference to a business , you can serve the best coffee (they didn’t ) but if it comes with a cold and a nonchalant attitude then you lose a returning customer.

Been here a few times now. Always good . Pleasant service and nice surroundings. Loved the lemon and blueberry cake !

Quality coffee but served only just warm but the whole experience is spoilt by unfriendly and not very welcoming staff. None of them raised a head or smile when we entered. It’s not clear if there is table service or you go to the counter. When I approached the counter a welcoming “hi” would be nice. Waitress ( wearing a knitted hat over long hair that needed a good brush) was quite surly delivering our coffee. Wouldn’t recommend and unlikely to return. Pity as Heswall has a great choice of coffeee venues☹️

Visited again this afternoon after a long break. Food was lovely but the staff are so rudely cold, unfriendly and stand-offish. Pity.

The food is always exceptional here. Never been disappointed. The coffee is equally as good and I love the relaxed, chilled atmosphere. I was totally baffled by the negative reviews regarding the staff. They are always very welcoming and friendly.

Save your money and go somewhere else. Place was completely empty at 9.30 on a Sunday morning and they wouldn’t allow us to push two small tables together to accommodate a 4-person group. Waitress wearing a ‘Jenny Lewis’ T-shirt was rude, walked out after a coffee and won’t be coming back.

Came for food first thing on a Sunday morning - the place was empty but there wasn’t any tables for groups larger than 3 people. We asked if we could have another chair for the table but the waitress was rude and abrupt as if it was an inconvenience. The table was cramped so a short while later we asked if we could push 2 tables together instead but she said no. Again looked inconvenienced. The place was completely empty so don’t see how this could be an issue. We were going to stay for food but ended up going elsewhere. Service here was awful, won’t be going back.

Nice food and coffee. However, sadly a bit like the one in West Kirby (Lateral) let down by some rude and brusk staff with attitude. It would be so much better with warm and friendly people serving you. Reading the reviews this is a recurring issue.

I've not been here for food for a while, just been for coffees only. I've been missing out! I had the New York bagel which was really tasty, the two poached eggs on top were perfectly cooked. My friends had scrambled eggs which looked nice (and she said they were). Will definitely be going back, the range of food looks great.

Lovely coffee and food but the staff are just so so rude! It’s so off putting ! Ordered my food and the waiter huffed, muttered under his breath and walked off into the kitchen. Put me off eating it ! Such a shame - won’t be back !

Randomly drove past this place on the way back from a meeting this morning and ordered a cappuccino and avocado on toast to take out - Flippin eck, was not expecting that! Genuinely think it’s the best I’ve had! Nice work to the team in here - I will be returning!

Rather grubby cafe with very sticky tables and floor. But we dont go out to be served by miserable and rude staff. The young man who brought us our food just plonked it down at our table without saying anything or even making eye contact. I said "thank you" and he just looked at me and walked away. Definitely has problems and in the wrong job. Wont be returning.

Had a very nice brunch here but the experience was a bit spoilt by clutter in the corridor by the loo including a skateboard and a dirty towel on the floor

I've been coming here for years, a popular little spot! previous reviews are very harsh and pretty rude. Dont walk in expecting to be entertained its a coffee shop and a great one at that! Best coffee around and it has a lot of personality....

Wonderful coffee shop, hands down the best coffee in Heswall. Super friendly staff and always a great atmosphere. I genuinely look forward to every visit. Keep doing your thing.

Not 'Wylde' about this place! Immediate lack of atmosphere on entering what can only be described as a lifeless vacuum... A library has more soul. Staff had no interest it seemed, serving coffee without a smile. Didn't eat here and won't be back to try...

If you like sour dough bread we’ll this is the place for you. Sadly no other choice of bread. Staff could do with smiling a little. Coffee was average, served in very small cups. Won’t be returning.

We go to Wylde regularly for brunch. The food is always spot on - extremely tasty, especially the avocado on toast, with the chilli kick, and the garlic mushrooms. Recently had scrambled egg with a side order of salmon which was superb. Portions are just...

The coffee is very, very good followed by fried eggs on sough dough bread. Disappointingly, the crusts were rock hard and inedible. The eggs were fine but they don’t need purple cress garnish all over them. Pretentious and irritating having to scrape it off.

This could be such a nice little cafe is the staff didnt treat customers as an inconvenience. Been several times with friends and always the same no matter who serves you. Always grumpy and never smile. Maybe they hate working there?

The coffee is lovely, local focus on food and drink sourcing and a nice atmosphere. Sadly the staff aren’t welcoming and just a bit ‘cool’ in their approach to customer service which is off putting.

Coffee is good as are the cakes and the (limited) lunch options. I do however find the “casual indifference” approach of the staff a little tiresome.

This cafe used to be ok but whatever they have done to it has ruined it. Sticky dirty tables and awful food from an extremely limited menu. Had scrambled eggs on toast. Eggs looked and tasted like powered eggs and the toast was warmed bread....

I went in for a takeout croissant which I haven’t tried yet but I spotted a Portuguese tart. This was the tastiest I have ever had. Pasty was very flaky and the filling tasty and plenty of it. The server was very patient with me...

Me & my family recently got a variety of food from Wylde, The service is fab & the food was incredible! So much to chose from and every little bit of it tasted so good! Especially the Carrot Cake 😍 Thanks Wylde!

Best coffee that I've had in Heswall and the cakes and especially the brownies are awesome. Nice inside too.

Popped in for coffee and toast to this lovely little place in Heswall. Dogs allowed - big bonus as somewhere to call in to on the way to / from a walk. Welcoming, light and prettily decorated space with really nice atmosphere and friendly staff...

Both the iced and hot mocha are 10/10! The avo toast is delicious and love the vibe in there. Definitely recommend.

I popped in during my lunch hour to try a takeout coffee. It was the the best cappuccino I've had on the Wirral. I tried again a few days later and it was equally good. Great addition to Heswall!

Great coffee, relaxing atmosphere, nice guys, what more do you want? They also do the best blondies (that’s a cake btw) and have kombucha in the fridges too for anyone on a detox diet.

The coffee at Wylde is amazing. Try the sourdough toast which is gorgeous. The team here are so friendly and helpful - one of the guys ground me some beans to take home. Keep up the great work guys

Nice new addition to the Heswall coffee scene but lacking atmosphere so far and menu is limited and quite expensive for what you get. However; food is good and service is prompt. I would personally extend the menu and add a few more tables. Lots...

Best coffee on the wirral, been here countless times since they have opened. Their ham and cheese toasties are a dream served on sourdough!! And their cakes/ cinnamon rolls are fresh and delicious too. 100% recommend.

Great menu, fantastic food and drinks for both adults and kids. Lovely atmosphere created by the guys, you can tell everything is well thought through down to the crockery, background music and reading material. A business with a conscience also which is an added bonus....

Came here with my dog and two children the guys are friendly. The decor is fab. Atmosphere is lovely the vibes are lovely. Coffee by far nicests in heswall. I shall definatley be back as regular customer.

Wylde Coffee have just opened and are a hit already. They make seriously good coffee, their food is great and the service very good. If you are a local, or just visiting the area and you appreciate good coffee, then you've got to try these...
