Good and staff perfect value for money.

Lovely meal, great value, serving staff tonight both friendly and helpful

Couldn't make mum in laws birthday so I called and asked if they could put a drink on the table. Not only that they went above and beyond with a cake and even sang. It has made our day and mum's 75th. Thank you so so much they will be returning.

Roast dinner had Yorkshire pudding that could not be cut, roast potatoes raw on one side and vegetables over cooked. Chicken kebab had only three small pieces of meat. Usually our meals have been good here, but were very poor today. I really don't like leaving poor reviews but other than the good service it was very disappointing.

I ordered a basic dish, seabass and potatoes. The potatoes were not cooked and the seabass was cooked backed to life! I could barely bite into it. for £18+ it was a very poor dish indeed

Can't go wrong here. Always come here with my parents and their miscellaneous older family members. Bring your old people here and they will love it. They have gravy.

We stayed a night here while visiting family nearby. Very impressed. Room wasn’t huge but perfect t for our needs. Sunday roast was superb and all the other plates of food heading past looked and smelt amazing too! Best of all was the friendliness of the staff! Certainly went above and beyond and really made our stay even more enjoyable.

Service and friendliness of the 2 young waitresses was fantastic, but it has to be said that the 2 Roast dinners we ordered were very bland and would only merit a 3/10 Everything was tasteless and the potatoes were rock hard Very disappointing!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Green Lodge in Hoylake, and it was truly an outstanding experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed warmly by the incredibly friendly manager Corina, who allowed us a different room so we could freshen up early after our long journey. By the end of my stay, I was on a first-name basis with several of them, which made the experience feel so much more personal and genuine. The rooms were simple, yet spotless and well maintained. Every detail, from the fresh linens and towels to the “ask for anything you need” attitude, showed the staff's commitment to ensuring a comfortable stay. It was clear that making us feel welcomed is a top priority at The Green Lodge, which is something I truly appreciated. What really sets this place apart is how much it feels like a home away from home. The cozy atmosphere combined with the staff's warm hospitality made it easy to relax and unwind. Whether I was enjoying a quiet cuppa, a gin & soda in the sun soaked beer garden or chatting with staff about the local going on’s downstairs, I always felt at ease. I can't recommend The Green Lodge enough for anyone visiting Hoylake. It’s the perfect place to stay if you're looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Haven’t dined here in a long time until last night. There’s plenty of choice on the menu to suit everyone, and the food was delicious. The service was good and all the staff were helpful and friendly. Will definitely be visiting again and will be recommending to others 👍🏻

Visited the Green Lodge this Tuesday for a meal with my family, and our server Lucy was so lovely! She was so helpful and really looked after us, food was brilliant as well. Would Recommend 👍

Was served by Eve at the bar. She was so welcoming and warm. It made my husband and I stay for longer that expected. So glad she was an absolute credit to this pub helpful ,chatty and went the extra mile bringing drinks to our table and answering our numerous questions ! Beds are a bit firm for my liking, but excellent hospitality. Great food, cheap pints, nice rooms! Wish we had more time to enjoy the area. Very peaceful on a Monday!

Nice, chilled experience in the garden on a sunny Sat afternoon. Kids food portion was a good size as were the portions of chips. Service was good. Food was reasonably priced. Lovely afternoon all round.

Booked a table for two, when we arrived we were shown to our table , chairs were very comfortable. Drinks ordered and arrived very quickly, food was absolutely gorgeous and plenty of it, we will definitely be going again.

Great time on Friday night. 2 for £7 Estrella deal really worth it. We ended up having food because of it. Bar man Joe and server Jim really looked after us even on a busy night. Karina and Jen were also lovely. Food was amazing and we felt accommodated as we have certain dietary requirements in our group.

We had one of the best meals we've had in a pub last night. The mains were chicken wrapped in bacon with mash, broccoli, chorizo and a creamy sauce. It was on the specials list but have it if it's on! The staff were great as well.

Had a lovely night for a joint 60th and 80th last night. There were 15 of us and the food all came out together, was piping hot and delicious. The service was great and the staff really attentive. Would definitely recommend

We were attending a friends house party 10 minutes from the Green Lodge. We enjoyed a couple of drinks before heading off. The landlady,Corina, was so friendly, made us feel so welcome. Check in was done online so room keys handed over and we were shown our rooms. The rooms were very spacious and spotless, the bed was soooo comfy! We had full English breakfast next morning which was amazing, as well as fresh croissants straight out of the oven. Corina couldn't do enough for us from start to finish! We really enjoyed our stay at The Green Lodge, we'll definitely be back x

Lovely evening and the food was nice, staff friendly.

The food is of a very high standard, well presented and piping hot. The service is very friendly and you can tell that the staff are well trained. The pub is clean and tidy, but could do with some minor cosmetic work carried out.

Excellent on all three. Staff very friendly and attentive. Sunday lunch was delicious, plenty of vegetables cooked just right. Cauliflower cheese was so nice too.

Ate here May 24 the food was edible. I had Mac and cheese with chorizo! It literally came out within 5 minutes I was shocked and made a comment to staff member. It was luke warm, the chorizo was like warmed up ham and the cheese sauce was watery. My husbands was exactly the same and I’m guessing they were microwaved then given to us. Meals are not cheap and the drinks are expensive. Very disappointed and will never go back. Meals are nothing like what you see in their social media. Place was clean and staff are lovely but avoid eating and be prepared for city priced drinks!

I recently visited the hotel and loved it! I went for food and ordered a ribeye steak with an espresso martini. A lovely server named Joe served me and my boyfriend and he was extremely impressionable and helpful. I will be returning!

Came last weekend on a busy Saturday. Joe behind the bar couldn’t have been more patient and caring for us when we were ordering. We needed up staying for some food after sitting in the garden for a few hours. Food was lovely and great portion size. Would definitely recommend.

Stopped in for some lunch and a pint after a round of golf with a mate. No complaints with a good fish and chips and a well priced pint from Joe behind the bar. Thumbs up all round

We visited because we are having our kitchen replaced so had no means of cooking. I doubt that when our kitchen is complete that we will use it much on Sunday. The food was excellent as was the service and atmosphere. We will definitely be back soon A big thank you to all at the Green Lodge Hotel.

I recently visited your sister pub the Fox in Yate where we were shown to our table and a waiter/waitress was allocated to us, they had tablets with which they could look anything up without moving away and they were very pleasant and friendly. At the Green Lodge the waitress pointed us at the table and came across as couldn't be bothered, there were three different people who served us and the girl who brought the drinks gave me incorrect information about availability of dry rose wine and the sparkling rose arrived warm at room temperature instead of chilled so all in all not marvellous. Food was good though.

We are having a weekend away from Macclesfield & staying in West Kirby & were recommended to come here & we have not been disappointed. It's "pub grub", but a level up from the usual. Very pleased 👍

Walked In Walked Out After a nice stroll from west kirby to hoylake along redrocks we decided to go for a bite to eat and drink and decended on the green Lodge Stanley Road.On entering it was dead and you would of seen more life in a Mortuary.Our party were then approached by the most surliest person I have had the displeasure of coming across within the hospitality sector. We chose a table to sit at which consisted of seven adults three may I add are severely autistic one being non verbal and epileptic. We were told we couldn't sit were we had chosen although there were no reserved sign and the place was a dead as a dodo we were given a table out of the way so to speak. Menu's were sullenly dumped on the table and the server looked at the three disabled of our party as if they were dogmuck on the bottom of his shoe.I then took my son to the toilet and who I think was the bar manager proceeded to watch us with an air of suspicion it was then decided that we would leave due to to unfriendly and hostile atmosphere that was decending on to us. We then walked back to West Kirby and purchased dinner and drinks in a more hospitable environment.

Is a brilliant pub rest of the staff are incredible food good drinks good just one woman who I believe to a manger of some sorts older a bit on the larger side very rude and disrespectful to patrons if it was my establishment would be an instant sacking spent a good 100 on drinks and food and to be treated like a child and spoke down to for simply being a bit loud once no warning no nothing just instant disrespect and discrimination will not be returning woman had short dark hair no idea the name ran away after her rude remarks

There was a lack of actual food and drink available! When our Sunday dinner arrived it would be best be described as pretty average. Certainly, better quality for value can be achieved elsewhere locally I'm afraid.

Waitress staff are so friendly and polite. Nothing was touch to ask of them. All of table enjoyed food and drinks we had a great night.

Very good roast turkey dinner , for desert we had apple cherry crumble which was delicious only criticism is more crumble on top would have been better, excellent latte with a biscuit to finish.pleasant staff👍 We will definitely recommend The green lodge and will return soon . Well done.

Went here for my birthday. The food was.great and the staff were lovely and couldnt do.enough for us. The manager came over and asked whose birthday it was and.brought me a.bottle of wine. How thoughtful was that. Thank you Green Lodge for helping me to make my birthday a memorable occasion

Stayed at the premier inn next door and came here for dinner. There were 10 of us at our table, and the food all came out at the same time. Really enjoyed our meal and staff were great. Would definitely recommend coming here

Impromptu pop into the pub this evening after a fabulous beach walk. So welcoming, we absolutely loved the ‘dog station’ with treats, blankets, water etc for our gorgeous puppy. We ordered drinks and were warmly welcomed to visit the complimentary cheese board which was fabulous!!! Martha, the lovely owner, helped us load cheese onto our plates along with crackers, salami and fresh fruit. We love this pub and visit each time we have walked along the beach. The staff are so lovely and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Only problem… we didn’t want to leave. Thanks Martha and team, see you very soon xxx

We had a great night at the Neil Diamond night at the Green Lodge- fantastic entertainment and Karina, Joe, Jim Jen and the rest of the team were so welcoming! Would really recommend.

As I am suffering from spinal cancer, I requested a table with no steps to get to it, a comfy seat and a cushion to put behind me. They did all that. I asked if I could choose from the children’s menu as I only have a small appetite and cannot swallow some things. They were happy to let me do that and even gave me a plain ice cream which is not on the menu! A member of staff kindly showed me where the disabled toilet was when I requested its whereabouts. The staff were all very cheerful and extra helpful. We were asked had we enjoyed our meal - which we had . We thought the meals for the 3 of us were delicious and god value..

Time of visit, it was quietening down and with our party of 13 they were able to accommodate us to sit in a nice pleasant position. The food was all served closely together as individually ordered, this was all good. Everyone enjoyed the food and presentation.

I had reserved a table & we had a lovely warm welcome & were shown to our table. The staff asked straight away if we would like a drink & these came minutes later. There was a lot of choice on the menu. We had Sirloin steak, which was cooked to perfection & Roasted pepper & halloumi flatbread, which was amazing. The staff were very attentive. I would definitely recommend anyone to eat here.

Great meal. Party of 6 and we were not rushed to finish or leave. Restaurant was busy but we were served reasonably quickly. A few items were missed of meals, but once mentioned were quickly replaced. We had to chase to order desert, but again it was quickly served. Waiting staff were all friendly and helpful. An older lady who appeared to be a manager seemed more rushed so she appeared to be leaving and not listening to answers after asking if all ok, but assume if there was an issue she would have resolved it. Food was good quality for ‘pub grub’. None of us could figure out why some items were highlighted in a pink box on the menu though

My son spent 10 minutes in the toilet....he claims he only went in for a wee...I have my doubts. Loved the steak

Thought I'd review the Green Lodge again after the last bad review I gave them. The main thing it has going for it is the beer garden at the front. It's very nice as it catches the sun all day. On the food side things haven't gotten any better. I ordered a sandwich steak with blue cheese and caramelised onions. Unfortunately they seem to have forgotten the blue cheese and onion. I ordered it with salad and got 3 leaves of lettuce with some watercress. I would have normally complained but felt sorry for the poor waitress who was trying to manage on her own so I didn't bother. Tried the crumble and custard which wasn't too bad. The other meals ordered were fine.

From the moment I stepped in I felt I was a valued customer, being welcomed with a smile. There was a good atmosphere straight away, both from the customers AND the staff which signalled to me that the staff were looked after as well as their customers! Staff were very attentive, engaging and always with a smile 😀 All this is just as important as the food is! My friend and I both ordered different starters and a mains. I ordered butter milk tender chicken strips and my friend cauliflower wings. They arrived presented is if in a Michelin restaurant AND tasted like we were in a Michelin restaurant! My friend had the lasagna and I had the sea bass with crushed new potatoes, runner beans and peas drizzled with a butter and seafood sauce and garnished like a piece of art! Everything was cooked to perfection and we both had clean plates. Everything was freshly made🌟 An eatery is only as good as it’s Chef 👨🏻‍🍳 and kitchen staff so a shout out to them 👏🏻 Front of house runs a tight (but happy) ship so collectively everyone working there is a credit to the company name and represents them to the highest standard and should be recognised for it 🏆 Impeccable service from start to finish. Thank you everyone ❤️
