Lovely food and service…not been for a long time but always loved the food here and was not disappointed this time ..I decided on 2 starters and my son had the duck and halloumi fries … My starters were pork ribs and garlic prawns ..when the ribs arrived I thought they had brought lamb chops by mistake..they had so much meat on them ..they were delicious and I struggled to eat the prawns as well ..my son loved his duck as well ..I sampled his halloumi fries on his insistence as I’m not a lover of halloumi cheese but these were delicious coupled with the chilli jam …rather full I said no now to the lovely young girl that served us over desserts but my son asked for the dessert menu ….and we settled for ice cream and apple crème brûlée..another hit …the ice cream came with 3 homemade cookies ( I took one home) and my dessert came with homemade shortbread …The whole meal and service was spot on ..wont be as long until we return ..

Goodish food, not much atmosphere but staff very friendly and worked hard however put off by compulsory extortionate service charge, we always tip well but to have it added automatically has put us off us going back for a second visit, over £38, no justification.

Meal wait was ridiculous, and food poor, place was empty no excuse.left dirty plates on table for half an hour took them back myself. Service not great, young lad clueless. Been good customers for a long time but done now cheeky rude staff. Good luck it's tuff these days !! Plenty of better places.

Great bar live music 🎶 had a great night

Casual bar dining with outside seating. Friendly and attentive staff. Non-alcoholic cocktails and drinks available. Excellent, homemade food. Menai mussels, sirloin steak and Thai green curry were all served piping hot, good quality ingredients with great fresh flavours.

I stopped visiting this bar when they last posted poor comments about NHS staff. I needed to meet a business partner and they suggested this bar, so I gave it another shot, apparently new management! As I arrived, approximately 5.30pm I was greeted at the entrance and told the top I was wearing was classed as sportswear I could only stay until 6pm. We had a drink and ordered some food and another drink, the order was accepted and the food and drink was brought to the table. The food that we ordered was substituted for something else, but no problem, mistkes happen. At that point it was just before 6pm. No further mention of having to leave. At 6.30pm still with drinks to finish we were approached and told we would have to leave, they had already kindly let us stay 30 minutes longer than we were allowed lol. The problem was that I had a t-shirt on which was branded by UnderArmer. Now if anyone knows me, you will know that my days of partaking in any sort of sport or gym work are well over, so i was simply wearing clothing i was comfortable in. As we were being told the we would have to leave i pointed out that around me there were a number of people wearing different branded sportswear. The family next to me, overhearing the conversation, pointed out he was wearing a Nike branded t-shirt, but management said that was a 'dress top'. There was another guy with a Yankies branded top, another wearing a sleeveless gym top, most of the men were wearing , Nike, Addids, Asics, Newbalance, branded sports shoes, socks, and some branded baseball caps!! When I brought this up it was like it didn't matter about them, my top didn't suit the clientele they were looking for!!! At no point did I raise my voice or get aggressive, I simply pointed out all the facts, but i was ignored and constantly asked to leave, or waite for the bounces to sort out the situation! That left me feeling harrased and intimidated. I've never been put in that situation at any bar, ever. Now I appreciate the management that were dealing with us were adhering to the rules pointed out to us by the sign on the wall. But apparently these rules obviously don't apply to everyone by the looks of it!!! The sign also pointed out that no wailing was aloud. Although I wasn't bothered about it, and nowbody else seemed to be bothered, we had a group next to us with young children who were upset and tired in the heat and they were crying. One of the staff actually sat with them smiling and petting the kids. The sign also says no TripAdvisors! I wonder why.... I have drank in Oxton village for years and never been dealt with in this manner. Before and after going to this bar I spent time at a few bars meetings friends, and speaking to an owner at another bar. Everyone we spoke to after leaving couldn't believe how pathetic the bars treatment was. Needless to say, I will not be returning. Bad mouthing NHS staff, and now targeting individuals they don't think suit the establishment, tut tut tut

We will be back soon, very kind, fast and accurate staff. Excellent drink, first place in England that gives me a cold glass of beer and I love it but I hadn't found it in England until yesterday.

Over Rated, Over Priced. Duck Breast was 3 small slices of meat. Bland, no taste or seasoning. Left disappointed and hungry

Good place to sit outside when it's a sunny day in oxton. Friendly staff and there are good selection of beers.

Excellent food, as always. Little bit expensive but you pay for quality when you come here so that's fine.

Fantastic Sunday roast. Piping hot and tasty. Pleasant staff and very helpful. Really nice surroundings with a great atmosphere. Everywhere was spotless. Highly recommend A+++

Amazing value and quality fish!

Pretentious overpriced place for the Oxton set, dull atmosphere. A bunch of people arrived after us had their drinks order taken first. The service after that was ok until needed the bill, that took a while. The food is VERY overpriced, the belly pork was dry and clearly reheated multiple times to the point it was hard to chew and definitely not worth £22. The gravy was nice but not enough of it, and the rest was nothing an average home cook couldn't whip up easy, I felt ripped off. And even more so when they added a charity donation to the bill, THEN calculated a service charge after it, cheeky of that, but you obviously feel mean asking it's removed. I'd not return.

Brilliant place for drinks and food. Really enjoyed the time spent here. Huge asset is a very kind and attractive bar supervisor, Konrad.

Service is 3 points out of 5 considering the high price of the drinks

Trendy cocktail pub. Occasional live music. Mainly for the young. Food not cheap.

Visit here regularly for a networking event. Staff are always polite and friendly. Hot chocolate is really nice too. Had dinner here once and the food was really nice.

Not sure what someone complaining about £9 (smaller portion) or £13 for what looks like good quality fish and chips would do if they ate out round here, Stratford-on-Avon district, it's £18/£19 a serving!

My boys enjoy the food here, especially my youngest who’s a bit of a food snob to be honest, so if he tells you this place does the best fish & chips, then trust him 🤣 I have to say I agree though I love it!

Front of house staff are amazing, never had a bad drink or meal there.

Food was very average as were the staff. When working in hospitality it's important to give your customers a warm welcome and service with a smile. Unfortunately neither were forthcoming.

My friends and I visited one evening for our dinner and a few drinks. The atmosphere was nice if you're looking for a quiet space and the staff are all very attentive. However, the quality of our food did not co-ordinate with the prices. We ordered a few mains and some sides, too. The sea-bass dish was just very over-complicated which made it un-enjoyable. An ordinary but well cooked sea-bass and some potatoes would have been better. The halloumi fries we ordered as a side were too salty to eat. I am a salt lover too, but this was even too much for me which was a shame. The Pad Thai was really nice though, I would recommend this. Lastly, it is just worth noting that tap water is priced at £1.30. They justify this as there is a slice of orange or lemon in there so they call it 'orange water' or 'lemon water'. When I come to pay I noticed this and thought it was a little sneaky.

I went here with a group of people I know from my volunteering work. We've been here a couple of times and we always have such a nice time. We went on a Friday evening this time and were graced with the presence of a live singer/music. That, coupled with the delicious food and tasty cocktails made for an extremely enjoyable and heartfelt evening. The bar staff are trained to a high standard and will make any cocktail you ask for. All staff are super friendly and attentive and the establishment itself is well looked after. It is a more upmarket place but worth it if you want great food and drinks.

I haven’t been here here for years. Wet miserable, it wa busy obviously. Service fab Food delicious Belly pork & calamari for starters and chicken kebab and goats cheese and chicken Caesar salad for mains. All lovely. Wine list and price very good. Well will visit again Natalie x

Only had the Sunday roast here which is brilliant and everything else is top nosh! Love this place there bartenders are very knowledgeable when to comes to cocktails.

Food was nice.I honestly thought the roast potatoes were coming separately. No the 2 minute ones were hidden under the Yorkshire pudding.no attempt to say is the food ok.

Avoid , wouldn't get served a few drinks because my son had a £80 liverpool shirt on. Ridiculous policy. This was in the afternoon.

Delicious food in a nice atmosphere. Had small fish and chips which was outstanding with home made chips, great batter and lovely moist fish, boys had chicken caesar salad and beefburger which were also excellent, washed down with great choice of beer, definitely come back.

Great bar with a fab set of ground rules. Service was excellent and the cleanliness was second to none.

Not been for a while . So hope it not changed. But excellent place for food an drink. Cocktails and other good drinks. I liked the fact that they look after the toilets. As well as the rest of the place. Nice terrace for a drink in the sun. I could go on but think you get the drift.

Not aloud in with shorts on despite all of the pub having shorts on, the bouncer was happy with us entering however the bar manager wasn't happy with us having shorts on despite all of the pub having shorts on, we weren't aggressive or drunk we just wanted a drink to go home with. Won't be going back.

Nice comfortable interior, Really enjoyed the Short rib and Herb Mash in a Bourbon BBQ sauce. Excellent choice of drinks, Loved the Japanese Beer. My only gripe, it felt like there was an atmosphere amongst the staff like there was a big argument,as they did not seem particularly friendly or happy, something noticed by my friends too. The sign outside was hysterical 🤣🤣

I called in for a pint.... found a small unoccupied table without a reserved sign on it.. After about half an hour a member of staff asked me to move because it was reserved...! without offering me an alternative .. just didn't feel right

It's not often everything is perfect but this lunch was , the sandwich, the sides, the staff .We could not fault it

At our visit to Oxton bar and kitchen we had the pleasure of being looked after by a lovely woman called Lily. As I brought my 4 year old son who has autism, it is difficult to find places where the staff respect/ acknowledge his needs but Lily was very understanding and amazing in the way she dealt with our table. She adhered to all of our needs and made our experience much better. I would highly recommend this establishment not only for their food but their amazing staff which I cannot speak highly enough about.

I went to this venue as part of my sons birthday celebration.I was refused entry because apparently I was wearing a tracksuit??The said tracksuit is addidas brand in cream cord which I thought quite trendy for a 62 year old mother.Certainly not a gym type of tracksuit .Nevertheless banashed from being served which I think is actual insanity .We all left the venue of course with a bit of a backlash as to the insanity.The said venue clearly bereft itself of a possible over £200 revenue,where is the sense????

Lovely decor. Food a big disappointment. Soup so salty couldn't eat. Sandwich was made with basic sliced white bread. Egg dish too salty . Tea cold.

Very disappointed in our good today chunky chips were anemic and not cooked in the middle and very greasy. Gamba Pil pil prawns were not cooked and swimming in a bowl full of oil. Service was good but when we told the waiter he said Oh. Will not be returning

Had a family meal here last night. Food was outstandingly delicious, portion size were belly busting big and the childrens meals were great too. Our waitress Lucy was friendly, down to earth and helpful. We all left stuffed and happy. Great friendly place to take your family too.

Brilliant food well worth ever penny

Our waitress Lucy was brilliant. So kind had helpful. The food….. omg what can I say? It’s more than delicious, portion sizes are mahoosive and the childrens menu was perfect, they were served burgers that didn’t need a magnifying glass to find on their plates unlike other restaurants we have been too. Great place, fantastic staff and food that makes your tastebuds sing.

Visited OBK with family members for Sunday lunch and each food course was delicious. The atmosphere was great and staff were warm and welcoming. Will be visiting again in the near future.

Pretty average pub. Wasn't really what I was expecting, thought it be more grill house bit fancier, but was just like an ale house. Service was slow for somewhere not so busy. Food was standard. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Came in for lunch today we had a pork roast, beef roast and eggs benedict with a few sides. Presentation was amazing and everything fresh. Was lovely. Credit to your chefs and friendly servers

Good food, good beer! A little more expensive than other places around Oxton, but worth the extra in my opinion. 👍
