The best restaurants serving Default food in Heswall Wirral North West

Great venue for our family party. Nick and the staff couldn't have been more helpful - just a perfect night to remember.

One of the worst places I’ve ate in a long time. My husband and I came for a special anniversary meal. The staff were fine, but the food was bland and boring. The atmosphere was horrific, it’s a tiny venue, and the owner just had all his mates in with their kids, who we’re screaming running everywhere, bashing our chairs, apparently their dads felt like taking the evening off here. It made for a horrible experience, and according to others this happens a lot here. Then came the bill, an automatic 10% tip added to the bill? I have no problem tipping if I feel the food and service deserved my additional hard earned money, but it didn’t, and you should not be applying this automatically, if the food, service and atmosphere was good I still wouldn’t be returning based on this principle alone. You need to pay your staff, it’s not for your customers to pay them, we’re already over paying for the bland food.

Owners are really horrible. Very two-faced, talking about customers and staff behind their backs. Wouldn’t go back or recommend to anyone. Horrible people. Really shocking and unpleasant to witness.

Had a lovely dinner here on a quiet mid-week evening. British comfort food! Interesting decor with a small selection of police memorabilia. We had pies and fish and chips. I think it's the same as the Boathouse. The premises is a credit to them though, they have restored and improved this old former police station. The only thing I would say is that we had a shared starter and could have done with side plates for these, as it wasn't served with any.

Pisces is our favourite Wirral chippie. The chips are great but the fish is fantastic! Lots of choice on fish (haddock, cod etc) and also choice on size. They also do other meals and now deliver too. The staff are super friendly.

Boss took me to have a Very nice bacon sausage and egg sandwich would go definitely again it was delicious very welcomeing as well

We had a very warm welcome at this traditional pub, after a walk along the Wirral Way from Parkgate. It is very friendly and spotlessly clean. We highly recommend you visit and see for yourselves. We will be back. It has a well kept cellar with excellent beer.L … and if you wish, you can have your own choice of food delivered there, or take your own food and they will give you plates, cutlery etc. - What a great idea!

This is our Sunday morning treat. A small friendly restaurant and always a worm welcome ,we’re creatures of habit and all ways enjoy a pebble English breakfast with a pot of tea , a great way to start Sunday morning .

Food was good and always reliable.Took a little longer than expected to arrive and was somewhat lukewarm.

Ordered many times over the years from pizza magic and gradually less & less toppings so looked bare and also taste a bit bland. Garlic base was not that garlicky( maybe fresh chopped garlic healthier and an idea) no pineapple topping at all so a bit disappointed. Sorry!
