Friendly staff with great service and a quality breakfast l.

This is not an hotel and we are local regulars at this traditional pub. We particularly like the quiz night on a Wednesday and the delicious pies served.

Have eaten here in the past and had no complaints. Today, we ordered the Sunday Roast platter for 2. It arrived within minutes, It then took another few minutes for the plates and cutlery to arrive, so the food was lukewarm. Overall the quality was disappointing- meat very dry and potatoes and parsnips just about cooked. Service was also not to the standard expected- questioning looks when requesting more gravy and had to go and find our own condiments. On the plus side the fish and chips ordered by two of our party was good. Overall a disappointing experience and I would expect a far higher standard of Sunday Roast.

Exceptional food so beautifully presented what a delight to find a local restaurant serving such great dishes. Cheese board was the best I’ve ever had I was truly in cheese heaven And just in case you’re thinking expensive ….. it’s really wasn’t but was cheaper than I thought A bottle of very nice Chilean red wine 2 superb dishes for our main and cheese board to serve easily 6 less than £75 Thank you Jane see you very soon

Just had THE best fish - chips and hot curry sauce - the chips were made with new potatoes which were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle - the cod fish had a thin layer of crispy crunchy batter

The food is warm and delicious, very good customer service and very kind towards customers. Made to feel very welcome. Value for money.

Firstly the name has changed to The Copper Leaf but the standard of food is still superb. The service was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful even when we got our teapots mixed up which they sorted without any fuss. Three egg scrambled eggs on thick toast were delicious. Several members from *Wirral Amblers* visited after an amble around and back through the churchyard after discovering the history of the lightning strike in 1875. While sitting outside ahead of the amble I observed many people making a beeline for this cafe. It was very clean and the decor was a little quirky which I always like. Couldnt fault any aspect.

Phenominal burgers with noticeably fresh, good quality ingredients 👌 The different fries with your choice of cajun, salt and pepper, or parmesan and truffle seasoning and toppings were very tasty. Friendly service. 100% recommend.

Phenomenal food. Had to go back the day after with friends to check consistency. Only takeaway to go to for this style of food. Only improvement would be for the chef specials to be unique.

Very special night with friends, I was visiting from Canada, and the staff and manager on Friday 1st November made it amazing, food and atmosphere was great

We were visiting the area because our daughter was at an all-day sports competition. We found this restaurant nearby for brunch. It was perfect. Spacious, food lovely and very pleasant staff. We enjoyed it so much we went back for lunch with family who loved fairly close by. Definitely recommend.
