Great venue for our family party. Nick and the staff couldn't have been more helpful - just a perfect night to remember.

Really good starters and I shared a mixed grill with a friend so filling but tasty. Drinks were flowing great attentive staff. Good atmosphere.

Such a good night here for my sisters birthday, had the mixed platter for 4 and it was so good! Stayed for cocktails after, ask Eddie for long islands! Would reccomend for a night out or a meal, lovely place in heswall

We came here after winning a free roast dinner in an online competition. Excellent food, the starters were really tasty, the pea and mint soup you could tell was freshly made and the accompanying bread was freshly baked too. Very delicious. The roasts were really great, perfect portions and the roast potatoes were crispy and delicious. The lamb was cooked to perfection and wasnt dry at all. The desserts were INCREDIBLE. Get the treacle tart it will change your life! Absolutely unbelievably good. Service was great Eddie looked after us, would definitely go back again. Thank you

I absolutely love Paradox! Ive been here a few times on a night out, the atmosphere and cocktails were great! Tonight I had food and it was amazing! The portion was generous and we had lovely service from Eddie and the chef Allie came out to make sure we were satisfied. Delicious food and great vibes

We booked our table for 9pm as we had friends visiting and needed a later dinner to allow for travel time. After sitting down, we started having a catch up and a member of staff took our drinks orders and handed menus to us. Didn’t think this would be a problem but we were given literally 1 minute to look at the menu and order our food being told the kitchen needed meal orders in by 9:30. This was approx 9:10pm. We asked if we could have more time and literally had an extra minute before being asked for our orders again. We felt like we were rushed and didn’t really get a chance to read the menu. While waiting for our starters, a loud speaker above our table came into action around 9:30. Obviously this was for the evening customers who were there for drinks, but we literally could not hear each other speaking, it was so loud, ruining our catch-up. Our food arrived promptly, starters were lovely, there was no problem with the meals, they were delicious. But we hadn’t finished eating before we were being asked if we wanted our mains to arrive. We asked for more time to finish eating our starters, but again, felt rushed into eating our food. I could understand if the restaurant was rushed off their feet and really busy, but there was only 2 tables eating when we arrived, and that included ours. 2 other tables had people drinking in small groups and one small party at the rear of the restaurant. It wasn’t busy at all. Our mains arrived promptly, again, absolutely delicious. Couldn’t fault the food at all. But we had no conversation as we really couldn’t chat over the loud speaker above us. So please, make sure you are not situated sitting beneath one of the 4 big white speakers. Myself and my partner finished our meals but our friends were still eating when our plates were removed and handed the bill. We had planned to stay for drinks and booked the table till late but as soon as we finished, we paid and left. Mainly because we felt the service was very rude and rushed, and we also couldn’t hear a thing. The food was delicious though, and I want to make sure that people realise this and not put them off eating here, but you really need to look elsewhere if you want more time when eating late and conversation. Maybe if food is being offered, allow for diners to finish eating before starting the party, or, just change the last meal order times to ensure diners don’t get the same experience we had. Was very embarrassing for us after Inviting friends to visit and hearing great reviews. However, would consider eating here again, but we will defo be eating a lot earlier to avoid the evening entertainment and disruption for dining.

Phoned up to order a takeaway Sunday lunch on a whim. The gentleman on the phone was most amenable and talked through the options- he also allowed me to have a half beef half lamb choice as I couldn’t decide! Collection was quick and easy- ready in 20mins. There was plenty of tasty, tender meat. Roasties and gravy home made- no Aunty Bessie’s! Everything was hot and extra gravy was provided. 4 types of veg came with it all nicely cooked. We were told there is usually a delivery service and we are welcome to order the night before for collection at a set time. This is one of the best take away roasts we have sampled and we will definitely be using the service again! Excellent.

I come here for drinks at the weekend occasionally but I'd never been for food until now, don't know why we waited so long, I think it's our new favourite place to eat in Heswall now! Lovely family run business and amazing food!

So me an my partner Dace decided to order from here lastnight for a little treat we got the sharing box for two with different meats rice an salad an some chips! Oh my god i have never had anything like it was absolutely gorgeous never had anything like it before i would definitely recommend this place an we will be back again. This place is amazing. The food is absolutely gorgeous. I’m a foodie and ordered pretty much all of the meze dishes along with the mixed grill and everything was so yummy! The staff are so welcoming and friendly. I’m definitely going to be coming back to try the Sunday Dinner. The tribute nights and bottomless brunches look amazing too. Thank you again! 💘

I’m not a vegan but I was told by a friend how good there vegan roast was so I thought I would give it a go, it was absolutely delicious my family had meat versions they also agreed it was the nicest roast they had had, staff very friendly and welcoming and the place was lovely and clean we will be going back

Everything was excellent. The service was exceptional. The food was divine. The cocktails were magical. Best meal out we have had in a long while. Can't wait to return. Easily the best restaurant in the heswall and surrounding area (in my opinion).

My girlfriend and I are frequent diner's and we always try and find somewhere new to dine, neither of us had been to paradox so decided this will be our Sunday evening date night. Well what can I say, this restaurant was probably 1 of the nicest meals we have ever had, we decided to eat from the set menu which was fantastic value at £14.95 for 2 courses or £18.95 for 3. So much thought and attention went into each dish and it was absolutely delicious. This restaurant is a little gem with lovely surroundings, I can't recommend this restaurant enough and will certainly be visiting again, well done to the chef and all the staff for making our evening such a memorable experience. We didn't take pictures of the desert as we couldn't wait to tuck in but the vegan treacle tart is to die for

First visit here. Visited Sunday afternoon with family for a roast dinner and really couldn't fault it at all. Very impressed and will definitely be back! Staff were very efficient, and we noticed they also coped very well with quite an awkward family who were sat near us. Very easy to give Paradox a 5 star rating!

After eating here on many occasions , we decided to have our daughters 18th birthday meal here . Everyone went above and beyond to make this a great success . Went to Paradox today & had a truly stunning beef roast dinner, loads of meat, crispy browned roast potatoes & delicious veg. The gravy was to die for! Hubby had the chocolate & caramel cheesecake & I opted for Treacle Tart, Berry compote & vanilla ice cream...both absolutely amazing! I should mention one of the roast dinners was free having entered a competition on the Paradox fb page & although not having won simply for having entered, we were offered a free roast dinner! If that alone hadn’t won me over the experience truly did....divine!*****Staff were all wearing masks, polite, friendly & couldn’t do enough fir us without being bothersome. Social distancing adhered too. Lots of availability of hand sanitiser.*****We will definitely be returning!
