Unfortunately I made a mistake when booking and messed up the date, when I contacted them to make the change they ended up charging me almost double to change it to the correct date. I basically changed the date from a Friday to a Saturday so both were weekend nights and when we did stay on Saturday the place was not that full. So I see no reason to nearly double the cost. With that said, The stay was really comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and worth it.

Considering it's 3am and I've had to go to reception to get some dry linen as our duvet is damp just like the room and smells musty.. But it's because it's the new part of the hotel and our window has been open according to reception?? 15 minutes later with new bedding on still damp still frozen 🤔 Heating on. Guess you get for what you pay....

Friendly staff, although a shame we were charged £10 for early check-in having unexpectedly arrived just 1 hour early. Nice room, clean and comfortable. Restaurant/Beefeater pub was in the process of being taken over by Premier Inn so no evening meal available on the day we were there which we hadn't been told in advance. Not too much of an issue as another pub very close by. Breakfast not great...staff seemed overstretched and no eggs available, coffee machine playing up, fruit had run out...nothing serious but not what one would hope for.

The hotel looked nice from the outside and staff were friendly upon arrival but one in the hotel and in the room we soon realised it wasn't so nice. The hotel corridors were very dim so much so that it was startling when stepping out the main entrance. The lighting in the room was all different and made the room quite horrible, along with the decor which wasn't that nice. The worst was a singled glazed window which was draughty and let in a lot of noise and because of which we were abruptly woken at 4 am by the sudden and noisy clanging of a breakdown truck which arrived in the carpark, and later on of dogs barking in the nearby park at 6 am. i would have thought that they would have double glazed windows at least. I would have raised this when we left but there were no staff around. very disappointed.

After two bad experiences with travelodge we decided to go with premier inn. It was almost £80 which for one night is pricy but needs must sadly This is a nice quiet branch situated by the glegg arms in heswall, free onsite parking The staff are very polite and friendly. In reception there is free sparkling/ still water available Our room was on the bottom floor. It was clean with a comfy bed, lots of plug sockets etc. My only gripe was that the free wifi was awful, and cellular data non existent. In the morning I went to reception and was upgraded to free ultimate WiFi, however this was no better. If you are working remotely and rely on WiFi, you may need a room at a higher level- although I’m unsure if this will help, as the receptionist advised there are known issues with the WiFi and they are looking to sort this. Unfortunately due to WiFi we had to check out early… :-(. I have raised this as feedback, because for almost £80 I expect to be able to work remotely off good WiFi (as promised)

Like all Premier Inns the rooms were comfy, clean and thankfully well ventilated as the windows actually open here. The car park is excellent and a good size too, and you’re just up/down the road from a whole host of places to eat too. Rooms are in a great condition as always, although I’d avoid the very top of the building if you can – the rooms are a >bit< tight up there. Now, the staff here are just INCREDIBLE – there’s no other way to put it. Every single member of staff we talked too couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. Especial kudos to the team member who tried to help us fix our non-working bathroom light, and then shifted our room when it was clear it needed an electrician calling in. She was brilliant and really dedicated to making sure we were happy and settled (she even insisted in carrying one of our heavy bags – she really didn’t have to!). Five stars isn’t enough for the staffing team here – they deserve six! On the downside – the Wifi is beyond poor, and there’s no phone data signal throughout the hotel…so prepare to take a vacation from the InterWebs when you’re here. The building is also…interestingly laid out, so get ready for an adventure if your room (as ours was) is at the far side of the building. But these are minor gripes – I’d stay here again in an instant!

Great location and plenty of amenities close by. M&S with a bakery up the road was great. Staff friendly. Rooms below average and do require some significant investment. Half the lights were not working, room was cold and neglected unfortunately. I write this while in another Premier in which is so nice and fresh. Overall would stay again but not a fan of the basement rooms.

Stayed for 3 nights over Easter for a family wedding. Very clean place with friendly accommodating staff, especially Jill on the reception who managed to transfer us to a room with special facilities, as I had forgotten to request, when booking. All the staff were exemplary from the reception, housekeeper's and all the restaurant staff. They certainly are a credit to the Company

Room smelly, Wi-Fi and phone signal none existent and even when you pay for the ultimate Wi-Fi it keeps throwing you off. Asked to move rooms told I couldn’t but not in a polite way. The female manager, a young lady with what I think was an American accent, had no customer service skills whatsoever. The company I work for use premier inn all the time, they must spend at least £10000 a week on hotels all over the country. I’m definitely going to recommend they change where we stay

Lovely Staff, very professional and gave us a warm welcome on arrival and at breakfast. Rooms very clean and usual premier inn standard. I have stayed in more newly renovated premier inns but this was clean, tidy and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Near Hamilton train station (5 min walk) which will get you to James Street station in centre of Liverpool near the waterfront in 5 minutes. Great stay, would come again.
