Usual Premier standard, with a lovely bunch of staff, on the outskirts of Heswall, a short walk in to all the bars and restaurants in Heswall, but far enough away to be peaceful. They have their own restaurant next door, which we didn't try, but did try the Devon Doorway on the other side of the roundabout, highly recommended if you choose not to go into the centre.

Lovely rooms, food is really good, staff really helpful. That was the last time i stayed, nothing on the menu, restaurant open until 10pm, but when i rang at 7.30pm to say we would like a table for around 9, told they are shuting at 8.30pm. Already paid for the meal deal for 2 people. Next night only 2 other people in the restaurant and still waited around an hour for our meals, which ended up being gammon as they had run out of most other options. Young lady on the bar was lovely and seemed embarrassed, the ladies on reception when seeing you bring your own food in, immediately ordered me to take a bag with me and leave everything outside my room, so i didnt cause a smell and they had to clean. Another premier going down hill, seems like alot of them are lately, such a shame 🫠 well rant over just wont be coming back again, i am not 1 for putting up shit reviews but i feel this is necessary. 👎🏻

I recently stayed at the Premier Inn Heswall for 8 nights. We had an excellent stay. Nothing was too much trouble for the team there. They went above and beyond with everything that they did. A special thank you to Mr Jenkins for all his help while I had to sort out a replacement car rental.

Room needed attention due to carpet being sticky, bathroom floor sticky, paint coming off the walls, WiFi is useless, the main issue is I stayed for work, 1st night got told I wasn't able to eat in the restaurant, day 2 got told I could eat in the restaurant when I arrived they asked if I booked and I said no so I was refused service (1 person) the last thing you want to do after a 10h shift is look elsewhere for food and I've had to do it 2 days in a row. No communication from staff.

Stayed at this particular premier Inn recently for one night only and glad it was for 1 night only. Normally I love staying at these hotels cos you know what your getting, basic but usually very modern. This one was not great. A bit run down and old fashioned. It was clean enough but there were was no shower gel in the holder. Bathroom was a bit tatty. Peeling paintwork. Carpet had seen better days. Probably the worst premier Inn I've ever stayed in. The receptionist however was lovely and helpful. But I'd definitely rate this a 2 star hotel.

As with many of this chain, it looks tired and needs some attention. And don’t mention the poor wifi! Staff generally helpful and do their best to accommodate needs. Rather put off in the restaurant next door. No atmosphere, premier inn guests only and service is slow and food slower. Could not book a table at inn reception due to no staff, but given a hard time asking for a table. Over 90 minutes to serve 2 courses one evening when less than 10 people in the place. One server managed to loose the food and drink order, despite writing it down, and proceeded to serve all evening whilst chewing gum. Could really do better!

The premier inn is just as fantastic as any other up and down the country however the restaurant could do with some slightly better trained staff

Just stayed there a couple of nights for work (& have done many times before). The hotel and staff were pleasant. The restaurant is very poor (maybe not the staffs fault). On our first night, we were eating our starters and a colleague arrived who hadn't eaten all day. They refused to cook him anything because it was 8:40 and chef had turned everything off (the slogan says 'we serve food till the cows come home', clearly the cows hadn't adjusted for daylight savings). We hadn't even finished our starters, how were they cooking our mains? The second night the bar closed at 9:30 and we were being vacuumed around 10 minutes later. Avoid.

Unfortunately I made a mistake when booking and messed up the date, when I contacted them to make the change they ended up charging me almost double to change it to the correct date. I basically changed the date from a Friday to a Saturday so both were weekend nights and when we did stay on Saturday the place was not that full. So I see no reason to nearly double the cost. With that said, The stay was really comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and worth it.

Considering it's 3am and I've had to go to reception to get some dry linen as our duvet is damp just like the room and smells musty.. But it's because it's the new part of the hotel and our window has been open according to reception?? 15 minutes later with new bedding on still damp still frozen 🤔 Heating on. Guess you get for what you pay....

Friendly staff, although a shame we were charged £10 for early check-in having unexpectedly arrived just 1 hour early. Nice room, clean and comfortable. Restaurant/Beefeater pub was in the process of being taken over by Premier Inn so no evening meal available on the day we were there which we hadn't been told in advance. Not too much of an issue as another pub very close by. Breakfast not great...staff seemed overstretched and no eggs available, coffee machine playing up, fruit had run out...nothing serious but not what one would hope for.

The hotel looked nice from the outside and staff were friendly upon arrival but one in the hotel and in the room we soon realised it wasn't so nice. The hotel corridors were very dim so much so that it was startling when stepping out the main entrance. The lighting in the room was all different and made the room quite horrible, along with the decor which wasn't that nice. The worst was a singled glazed window which was draughty and let in a lot of noise and because of which we were abruptly woken at 4 am by the sudden and noisy clanging of a breakdown truck which arrived in the carpark, and later on of dogs barking in the nearby park at 6 am. i would have thought that they would have double glazed windows at least. I would have raised this when we left but there were no staff around. very disappointed.

After two bad experiences with travelodge we decided to go with premier inn. It was almost £80 which for one night is pricy but needs must sadly This is a nice quiet branch situated by the glegg arms in heswall, free onsite parking The staff are very polite and friendly. In reception there is free sparkling/ still water available Our room was on the bottom floor. It was clean with a comfy bed, lots of plug sockets etc. My only gripe was that the free wifi was awful, and cellular data non existent. In the morning I went to reception and was upgraded to free ultimate WiFi, however this was no better. If you are working remotely and rely on WiFi, you may need a room at a higher level- although I’m unsure if this will help, as the receptionist advised there are known issues with the WiFi and they are looking to sort this. Unfortunately due to WiFi we had to check out early… :-(. I have raised this as feedback, because for almost £80 I expect to be able to work remotely off good WiFi (as promised)

Like all Premier Inns the rooms were comfy, clean and thankfully well ventilated as the windows actually open here. The car park is excellent and a good size too, and you’re just up/down the road from a whole host of places to eat too. Rooms are in a great condition as always, although I’d avoid the very top of the building if you can – the rooms are a >bit< tight up there. Now, the staff here are just INCREDIBLE – there’s no other way to put it. Every single member of staff we talked too couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. Especial kudos to the team member who tried to help us fix our non-working bathroom light, and then shifted our room when it was clear it needed an electrician calling in. She was brilliant and really dedicated to making sure we were happy and settled (she even insisted in carrying one of our heavy bags – she really didn’t have to!). Five stars isn’t enough for the staffing team here – they deserve six! On the downside – the Wifi is beyond poor, and there’s no phone data signal throughout the hotel…so prepare to take a vacation from the InterWebs when you’re here. The building is also…interestingly laid out, so get ready for an adventure if your room (as ours was) is at the far side of the building. But these are minor gripes – I’d stay here again in an instant!

Great location and plenty of amenities close by. M&S with a bakery up the road was great. Staff friendly. Rooms below average and do require some significant investment. Half the lights were not working, room was cold and neglected unfortunately. I write this while in another Premier in which is so nice and fresh. Overall would stay again but not a fan of the basement rooms.

Stayed for 3 nights over Easter for a family wedding. Very clean place with friendly accommodating staff, especially Jill on the reception who managed to transfer us to a room with special facilities, as I had forgotten to request, when booking. All the staff were exemplary from the reception, housekeeper's and all the restaurant staff. They certainly are a credit to the Company

Room smelly, Wi-Fi and phone signal none existent and even when you pay for the ultimate Wi-Fi it keeps throwing you off. Asked to move rooms told I couldn’t but not in a polite way. The female manager, a young lady with what I think was an American accent, had no customer service skills whatsoever. The company I work for use premier inn all the time, they must spend at least £10000 a week on hotels all over the country. I’m definitely going to recommend they change where we stay
