Taichang in Wirral

Phenomenal food. Had to go back the day after with friends to check consistency. Only takeaway to go to for this style of food. Only improvement would be for the chef specials to be unique.

The food was just so lovely!! What a shame of how long we had to wait. We were told pick up 35 mins yet food was not ready for another 30 minutes. This then impacted the plans we had made. If it’s going to be an hour say it’s an hour and if it does take longer then at least give all the food. Bag of spring rolls missing but paid for. Thank goodness the food tasted so good.

Never had a bad meal here! Also the chips are great and the staff are lovely. The cash only policy is a bit inconvenient but well worth it.

Cash only in 2024. They don't give you a real receipt if you ask for it. Only an order slip. Which means your payment is not being taxed. What does HMRC do?

Stunning Chinese with Fantastic Proportion Sizes Popped in here the day before I headed off on the Wirral Way, and was looking for some fuel for a good long walk. I was not disappointed! The food was hot, delicious and extremely generous in portion sizes – the special fried rice must be tried to be believed! The staff were friendly, and swift to take our order which we could hear being cooked just behind the scenes. The menu is extensive too, and I hope to be back in the area to try some of the other tasty things on offer, Highly recommended!

Ordered food which was delivered promptly and with a smile. Food all good but the Singapore noodles were exceptional, amongst the nicest I have eaten.

The Sweet n Sour Mixed is one of the best on the Wirral. The batter is just of right thickness, stays crispy even soaked in the sauce and all the way back home. Nice mix and amount of meat (prawn+chicken+pork) . Stir Fry Beef Ho Fun, dry which is good and what it supposed to be. The only pinpoint I would make is that the noodles stuck among themselves, so tangled together in a ball. Flavour wise, it’s delicious. Beef is marinated to bring extra flavours. Under £13 for two items, all the main dish comes with boiled rice/chips. Such a bargain! Surprised how cheap considering it is in Heswall, one of the expensive areas on the Wirral😂 I as a Hong Kong-er recommends this Chinese takeaway to you all! We will be back for sure!

Had the salt and pepper share box, we was absolutely amazed by the amount be we got for £15 easily feed four adults. Food was fresh, piping hot and very tasty. We will be back. Please note though it's cash only.

Dont go when its busy! Tasty hot food most of the time... but if you go when its busy...eg a Saturday Tea time food tastes prestaged and luke warm.

Went here. Brought ribs, curry rice and chips and egg fried rice. I even got prawn crackers for free. Amazing service and food was delish

Lovely food....we had a noodle box and a rice box, best chinese takeaway I've ever had! Cooked great and plenty of meat in both boxes. Will be ordering again real soon!

Excellent fish & chips from here plus a jumbo sausage & a carton of peas for the fur baby. Was still hot by the time we got home on the other side of the Wirral.

Couldn't finish the chips as the portion was huge.

Ordered the food at 17.45, was told it could take upto an hour, still no delivery at 19.30 so phoned up, was told the food was being cooked then, and would be with us in 20 minutes, the food actually arrived at 20.45, very disappointed and won't be ordering again ( you shouldn't have to wait for 3 hours for a delivery of food that is 3 miles away, under different sircumstanses I would have collected but it was delivery only.....

Order was placed at 6pm for a home delivery was told would arrive by7:30pm but it did not. Telephoned again at 8pm to enquire why order had not arrived. Was told that it would be done now but by 8:40pm order had still not arrived. Telephoned again at 8:45pm to cancel order. Very dissatisfied.

Quite expensive and portion very small
