Ordered delivery ~ phoned twice to ensure we got sauces as rice and chicken, and starters would be dry without. Food arrived cold and no sauces. Phoned third time but sauces never came and they offered no help for our cold food. Additionally my meal described as chicken in cream sauce was 95% potato not chicken. Calamari was just greasy cold batter didnt seem like calamari at all. Hallumi just cold uncooked rubber. Prawn starters cold no sauce. And no vegetables included that were listed to come with my meal. Shame won't use again and we used to eat in here. Ourselves and friends often came here for special occasions like new year alongside throughout year. They've lost us as customers unfortunately and felt need to warn others - food flavours have potential so shame really

This always used to be quality food but has sadly gone downhill. I ordered to pickup annd when I got home I realised my order was missing items. I phoned immediately to see if I could come collect the missing items and they hung up on me. I called back and they hung up on me again. Rude, shocking customer service! I have been a frequent customer with Amara but never again. Avoid. I don't mind paying for quality food and politeness but this isn't it. Never again.

I always get the amara special, and when i ordered it the last time my food came cold and woman says she was out side for 12 minutes when i was gone out the living room for 5 and my little girl brought it in for me then when i called up to tell them food was cold and rice wasnt cooked and meat was over cooked and very small they told me they would replace the meal and to bin the other meal so i did and they didnt come with new food and when i called the next day they told me they cant do anything very disappointing as i love there food normally and i dont mind paying the price for good food

Arrived within 20 minutes of ordering. I always love this place but this time the food was better than ever. I get the special and every bit of it was lovely and cooked to perfection. Delivery driver always polite.

Wrong food was delivered. Portions were tiny. Would never use again. No ability to contact the restaurant so paid for something we never received. Terrible service from start to finish.

The food quality is always great - which keeps me coming back every time. Particularly the hummus. But you need to work on your delivery system. It’s always minimum 1hr 45m. It’s the best Turkish by a mile and If delivery was more sensible I would order more regularly,

Dirty , slow , cold , terrible food.

I ordered the Acili Tavuk and received 4 chicken wings. I phoned the restaurant 3 times to explain, apparently they would contact the driver, no apology, rude and phone put down on me. never received correct order!!

Most of the order came on time, we called immediately upon noticing that an item we had ordered was missing. We were assured that a replacement was being made and sent asap. 35 minutes later, still no replacement so we called the restaurant again, and had what seemed to be the exact same conversation, once again being assured the missing item was back out for delivery. At time of writing, 3 hours later, we’ve come to the belief that whomever was answering the phone, couldn’t care less.

Food was cold had to reheat, lamb was very chewy and fatty

I had to ring to see where my order was. Was told they had been knocked no one had been I even have a camera doorbell no one had pressed it or came and knocked. They them sent the food over a hour late cold reheated they said was fresh but definitely reheated. Dry, cold, hard bread.

The food was on the road for half an hour before being delivered. Restaurant assured me it would be kept insulated but turned up very cold

Didn’t receive order, called restaurant for half hour constantly and totally ignored!! Fuming, they could at least let me know I’m not getting my food so I can go somewhere else, but don’t care enough!! This is not the first time this has happened won’t be ordering from here again EVER

Super fast delivery, delicious hot food. Couldn’t ask for more. Amara is my go to for Turkish food, never been disappointed

Took 2.5 hours for our food to be delivered. When we rang at 2 hours we were told it would be another 5 mins. We then rang back after another 25 mins passed but the phone had been disconnected. Such a shame as the food is really lovely. Our kids meal went to waste as they ended up going to bed, as the wait went on way past their bedtime.

The food was delicious and was delivered on time. The only negative is that the food was cooler than expected - some people wouldn't have liked that! I usually eat my food warm not hot (leaving it to cool for a while) so it's not an issue for me.

Food was cold and burnt, really unpleasant. No one wants to eat cold rubbery prawns ir halloumi burnt to a crisp. Really disappointed.

Hmm, the food from here is usually spot on, tonight though, not so much, I got the special, and unfortunately the lamb was barely edible because it was so chewy, the chicken was very dry, and the bread which is usually soft and delicious was hard, very unfortunate as I was very excited waiting for the food, we all have bad days though so hopefully next time it will be back to it’s usual quality

While my order did arrive early and the food was fantastic as it always is, it wasn't the correct order. I wouldn't normally make a fuss but this is the second time the exact seqence of events has happened. I ordered an appetizer and no salad with the entree. Received the salad but not the appetizer... but I did get charged for it. I called the restaurant, said they'd send it out shortly and it never got here.

We ordered food to collect, the service was fast, the food was hot and tasty. There was plenty of it and we thoroughly enjoyed all of it. Our meal consisted of the hot mezze, lamb chops and the skewered chicken, both accompanied with a decent portion of turkish rice, grilled veg, salad and some lovely bread. I would highly recommend.

Terrible experience. Order placed at 19.24 requested ASAP, expected 20.10-20.30, delivered at 21.34. We tried to ring the restaurant for updates but the number was ‘not in service’ (???) We had already started to eat something from our fridge when the food finally arrived. Unacceptable. Asked for a refund but it was refused. I do not recommend this place. If they’re not able to deliver in reasonable time they shouldn’t be on the platform.

Delivery time was good but food was bad. Had no taste the guvech at Noya is better. Also the wedges where just meh. 1/10 would not recommend.

Food was expected at 6pm,sent message at 6.15 ish asking how long? Received message back saying 6.25- no problem! Door was then nearly smashed in by 5 extreme load bangs( we have a ring doorbell) answered door to be confronted by delivery person with a face like thunder , gave me food and got off ! Food was half an hour late with no updates. Requested an update via Just Eat and received nothing. Order status changed to say it had been delivered when it hadn’t, and the contact number for the restaurant was “not in service”. My husband had actually driven down to the restaurant as we thought maybe they were closed and had accepted the order in error. The food turned up while he was out, not so much as an apology. Food was not even luke warm and definitely not worth the hassle.

Never disappointed. Have ordered from here for years, tried other Turkish restaurants and they honestly don't compare. Everything is delicious even the salad and bread x

Our anniversary meal was not only very late but poor quality and cold Very disappointing Bread was cold and chewy and salad consisted of lettuce only !!!

Was 45 minutes over the estimated delivery time, waited 1 hour 45 mins in the end. Cannot contact the restaurant as the number on justeat says it’s not in service and when you call the number on the website it says the same. Food wasn’t anything special. Got grilled halloumi kebab. Lots of halloumi, one small slice of green pepper and one small slice of red. Nothing special and certainly not worth the wait

Please cancel my compensation request. The meal was very late (11:20pm) but it did eventually arrive with an apology. The meal was still warm and was very good, so please cancel my request.

Lovely food however the delivery times are shocking ... waited over 2 hours for a delivery , not just a one off either .. such a shame as this is the last time I will be ordering due to this

Order was very late when I rang I was told it was leaving next, 30 min later it still hadn't left so I cancelled it. 2 and half hours waiting ridiculous.

Waited just under 2 hours for our food. It turned up cold, when I called the restaurant to check complain the lady said there was nothing she could do and put the phone down. Really disappointed.

Order took almost 2 hours to arrive and when it came the food was stone cold. Portions were small and salad was missing. £5.40 for 5 small pieces of calamari! It’s not cheap but thought we would treat ourselves - what a disappointment. All in all definitely not worth the price or the wait.

Ordered food at 6.20 said delivering half 7, rang at 8 to be told next order leaving, no answer then. Food arrived 8.44 freezing

Mix up with delivery. I went through the correct reporting process with Just Eat only to be told they couldn't do anything as I failed to take a picture before eating. If I'd of done that food would of been cold. Just eat is just awful.

Food as always spot on delivered hot and very very tasty. But was let down by delivery time being an hour later than was expected.

Wonderful again! Can't fault the food. Instead of people complaining about delivery times just order a little earlier as they cook from fresh. Lovely meal xx

Can never fault Amara! Food everytime is absolutely delicious and piping hot! Delivered right on time too. They even fulfilled my request for extra turkish bread! One very happy Pregnant lady ha!

I love Amara, I've not found anything on the wirral that has the authentic Turkish bread. I always order more bread as its amazing. Staff always really friendly.

Delivery was on time. Food was not bad except for the calamaris…a lil pricey for that few pieces of small squid rings.

Food was outstanding, nice and fresh and portion sizes are very generous even the Salad was crisp and delicious! Would definitely order again, would recommend too!

Used to love this Turkish delivery but now they no longer do the Hot/Cold Mezze selection for a tight budget. So ordered the Hot Mezze about 5 dishes to be disappointed with portion size and burnt bread - most of it had to be binned. Sad as this was one of my favourites.

The food was lovely but cold, this will be the last time we’re ordering from amara! I don’t know why we do it to ourselves, every time we order it is late and takes two phone calls to actually receive the order.

Most likely the worst Turkish restaurant I’ve been to in the North West. Poor food quality, low value for money, and the delivery driver had an attitude problem. Never again. Didn’t even finish our food.

Awful. Be prepared to wait over an hour for your meal. Waitress on her phone at the bar, wasn't interested in serving us food or drinks. Don't waste your time and hard earned cash at this restaurant.

Food delivered estimated time was between 19.00 -19.20 but it was delivered at 20.40. I had to call the restaurant to ask where i order was. The food was rushed not the usual Amara standard.

4 of us arrived for our booked table at 6.30 pm. Waited until 8.15 for one of the main meals to arrive. They were too busy dealing with take-away meals to serve the customers in the restaurant. Given one star as it looks like you can’t give zero.

Over 2 hours late delivering food and then when it turned up it was cold and disgusting! When I called the restaurant they weren’t that bothered about the fact they were being late sending food ! It also took me 10 times to get in touch with the restaurant! Will never order from here again! Avoid at all costs!!!!!!

Food would have been lovely but some of it was cold so not crispy- one of the dishes leaked all over the bag and it took 2.20 hours to come 🤷‍♀️ devooooed as love the food usually. Thing that did my head in the most was being told in the phone 3/4 times that it was ‘just leaving’ - just tell the truth so customers know where they stand - still but feeuuuuumin tbh 😂

Last time ordering from this restaurant waited 2hrs in total for delivery. When it came there were a mesely slice of roasted veg. If you visited the restaurant in person you would expect a better service- why treat takeaway customers like this.

Estimated delivery time was between 30-50 mins but food arrived cold 90mins later.
