Went for a takeaway must of been took over by new people food was disgusting had to put it all in the bin will never go again should of took the food back I was quite shocked by how scruffy the restaurant is carpets worn out glad I never ate in there avoid this place 👎👎👎👎👎

Has this restaurant been taken over .Been to this restaurant over the years ,too many times to count Always fabulous food and service ,and very friendly staff .Birthday meal out with three friends 16/08/2924 ,The service was appalling waited ages for our second course , food even worse ,Very salty starter ,duck overcooked and very dry you had difficulty eating it In fact we left some of it Who leaves the duck course .The mains ,to put the icing on the cake Three of us had one mouthful of our meal And sent it back ,It tasted that they had dropped the whole salt cellar in it Staff laughed about it ,Their excuse no one else has complained ,No they were to busy drinking gallons of water The only good thing about the whole meal was the soup ..Will be giving this restaurant a miss from now on

The food we were served was pretty average but my main gripe was the waiting. We were there for my daughter’s birthday, arrived at 6 pm and still hadn’t ordered our mains by 8:30 pm. At this point we were past enjoying ourselves and (over) paid for what we had eaten and left.

NOT CHILDREN FRIENDLY AVOID MOLD ON CHAIRS CHARGED FOR FOOD THAT COULD NOT BE EAT

Went in to order a take away. Looks lovely and had a good number of customers. My order was taken quickly and within 20 minutes I was leaving with my food. Plenty of food in the portions and delicious. Will head there again next time I have a night in with my friend

4 years ago, I wrote a deservedly very favourable review of this restaurant. Sadly, things have changed for the worse. I visited this week with two members of my family. The quality of the food has deteriorated, and most importantly we were kept waiting far too long. The waitress was not at all helpful. The restaurant's card machine was not working and we were expected to have brought sufficient cash just in case.

Best chinease about by far 1000% better than ying ming

Only been twice and my first visit I enjoyed the food & drinks and the staff were polite, welcoming and friendly … My second visit however a staff member from the kitchen came out to clear the table (Possibly the Manager or owner) and she became rude, abrupt and aggressive towards me for asking a polite and reasonable question! I was so angry I just paid and left asap… I wanted to leave a Tip for the other Waiting staff who were all lovely, but I didn’t want the aggressive staff member to receive any of it. Won’t return again sadly!

It's one of my favourite Chinese restaurants. It's an all you can eat. Where you don't have to get out of your seat as the food comes to you freshly made. Way I look at it is a 5 course meal. In the following order. Soup Starters Duck Mains Desert It isn't anything fancy, but the staff treat you well. Friendly and approachable. Helpful when comes to their business. Food is absolutely fantastic. Can't really complain much about the food. There are areas for improvement but more towards access.

Awful food,gloopy and inedible, we thought we would give it another try after a bad experience but got a worse experience. They just have no understanding of how to cook Chinese food

I read the reviews and went in with fogged glasses. We came for my brother's early birthday meal. 5 adults and my 2 year old, we had the buffet menu. It was delicious, seemed service was slower than other places but In a way it was lovely. Must have been there for 2.5 hours, could of eaten more but had to take the baby home. Thank you so much we will be coming back soon 😁

The buffet was just as fabulous as last time I was here! It’s absolutely delicious, all freshly prepared, tasty food and the service was warm and friendly... it wasn’t expensive and well worth every penny, compliments to the chef, it was a busy Friday night, so make sure you book in advance. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The all you can eat buffets we've been to you go up and help yourself, here you order off a menu and they bring the food to you, so it means there's waiting time, the food was ok, we told them we don't like anything with bones in, they brought out chicken wings, the shredded duck was very dry and overcooked, they put a big bone on the plate with it, I don't know why, after we ordered our main they took the menu away from us so if we wanted to try something else we felt awkward asking, for desert we asked for ice cream and we got one scoop, not worth the £19 per person, we won't be going back.

Went for a family meal to celebrate a birthday. We did the all you can eat deal and it was excellent. The food was delicious and the staff were so attentive and helpful. A really good experience.

Their vegetarian food is cooked in animal fat, they told us.

Duck and pancakes was OK the ribs were delicious plus the main courses were on point worth a tryout the soft drinks were flat but soon changed

Overcharged my Grandaughter who only ate ice cream. Didn't actually have any food however was charged full buffet price. Will not be coming back

One of the best Chinese restaurants on the wirral!! We absolutely love it here. Brillaint choice for a all you can eat buffet with a good price. Food and service is always fantastic and we've enjoyed many nights here. Probably our go to Chinese choice now . Truly lovely.

Really Nice food but really poor attitude..throwing the plates down took plates away before we had finished eating. Hovering behind where sat felt really rushed rewind the experience. Food was really nice but it was spoiled bad attitudes. Disabled toilets where more of a hazard with high chairs in middle of floor and steep slope .very disappointing experience tonight

Possibly one of the worst Chinese I have ever been to . The food just tastes cheap and tastes like every item has been deep fried , it was not for myself the food did not look edible , but I can not fault the staff as they were lovely and very accommodating

Very impressed after recent visit. 12 of us had the all you can eat buffet and was absolutely delicious. Every item was very flavoursome including sides and main meals. Staff were very friendly and polite.

Without doubt it’s the worst service I have ever experienced in any restaurant anywhere. The food can best be classed as edible. We ordered drinks before the meal and twenty minutes later we asked where they were. They had lost the order. We had booked a table and we and other parties were left standing as they had over booked. Some parties got fed up waiting and walked out. Absolutely awful, I won’t be going there again.

Some nice food (soup, duck and starters) but mostly the mains are generic, salty and deep fried. The decor hasn’t been updated in 15 years and lighting is dark. Good value overall but nothing to write home about.

Come here once a month and its spot on every time. Loads of options on the all you can eat menu, food always tasty, and theres never a big wait on food no matter how busy it is! Staff are lovely, very attentive and always a good atmosphere.

Definitely found our new Chinese Restaurant, food is amazing, delivery is fab, but expect longer waits at weekends because of demand (this is not a bad thing) non greasy, great flavour, you won't be disappointed! If eating in at the all you can eat you will not be disappointed, fresh, crispy appetisers and super tasty mains, staff are friendly and knowledgeable, short wait for food and delicious beers too!

The soups, great The starters , brilliant The service , excellent So why 3 stars........The main meals were extremely salty, unhealthily so. This is onto just a one off experience it has happened once before, so because of this we unfortunately will not be returning.

Went last night.The service was excellent. Selected from the all you can eat menu. The soups were delicious, the starters were great. Would have given 5 stars but they were let down by their main meal. The meals were extremely salty to the point that they couldn’t be eaten .This is not a one off experience . It happened the last time we were there. Because of this we won’t be going there again

Ordered take out spoilt for choice hot tasty food ordered was for four people I think there would be enough for five May be even six ordered 5 appetisers 2 soups 4 mains

Edited from 4*: paid over £60 for a takeaway and was told to come back in an hour. An hour later I returned to wait a further 35 minutes in the restaurant. (If I’d have been told to return in 90 mins I would have). After finishing and just being thankful to get home, I realised the soup was missing. Minor. But annoying. Crispy shredded chilli chicken was not enjoyable, that may be a personal preference. Everything else was as expected. No prawn crackers. Again, Minor. But. Massive wait and big spend....least you could have done. Food was delicious. Dated decor and always looks closed which had prevented me going in before. But once in it has a nice atmosphere and cant complain about the food. Will definitely go back.

We had take out hot tasty ordered over phone picked up just had to wait couple minutes till was ready had lemon chicken beef black bean sweet sour chicken special meat fried rice dumplings prawn toast prawn crackers rice & noodles all tasty

Went here last nite with the husband our first meal out since lockdown 🤣 we have a few all you can eat Chinese restaurants around so with us not trying here before we thought we would try it, we booked online, arrived on time seated right away all covid measures in place! We was givin our drinks right away and the menu! We didn’t know which starters to pick so the girl said she would put a mixture on the plate between us. They was hot and fresh, tasted fine, the main was beef Cantonese and sweet n sour chicken balls, rice and chips and all fine no complaints , husband had the banana fritters and said they was nice, staff was friendly and welcoming the decor could do with a revamp as it’s pretty out dated, it was lovely and warm in there, I would go back as I couldn’t really fault it 👌🏼

I have eaten here and bought takeaways regularly and been very happy with food and service. Tonight that all changed. I ordered 2 meals, sweet and chicken balls and chips and chicken cashew nut and chips. The cost of my takeaway order increased with the new menu 25% from £11.00 to £13.80. I always pack our food in a insulated bag to transfer home as we live over 2 miles away. Food has always before today been hot when I have got home. We were thoroughly disappointed with both meals tonight. The meals were barely warm, chicken balls were less 9 instead of the usual 10 and size halved to the size of a chicken nugget. The sweet and sour source had only 4 small morsels of pineapple instead of the usual tomato, onion, peppers and pineapple. I understand times are hard during current conditions but the change in quality does not have to as well. I phoned and asked to speak to the manager. He apologised and said he would leave a note so that I would receive a 10% discount of my next order. He said he would let the kitchen know of my disappointment. I said I was not happy with the meal and he should offer better compensation as the meal had gone up 25% and standards dropped. He was not prepared to better the 10% and I asked if he was the owner. He said no, I-asked if they would contact me to discuss and he said they would not understand. I will not frequent this place again. The manager said the reason my meal was cool was because of the distance. This has never happened to us before. He said he would have to go and could not talk to me further. With both his attitude to customer service, the drop in quality and 25% price hike I told him I doubt they would be in business next year. Next time I will go o the local takeaways who are 25% cheaper and get what I expect.

Its all you can eat but cooked fresh, service can be slow however we have been couple of times with children they enjoy it. Food is nice, kids can try new dishes. Its not gourmet but definatly worth the £15 per adult and £7.50 per child.

had a lovely meal , never been here before friends recommended it , social distancing was adhered to hand sanitizer and masks worn .when not seated . staff very attentive and service really good .were celebrating a birthday , menu really good plenty of time between courses . vfm

After a long day we wanted to Eat Out to Help Out and were lucky that the lovely people at ⛩ New Chinese Kitchen squeezed us in early! The menu is an all you can eat buffet and we had seaweed, ribs and salt and pepper chicken followed by crispy duck and pancakes then for the mains I had Beef ginger and spring onion which was amazing! Fragrant and tasty with a bit of a zing from the ginger, my new favourite! Hubby had the King Prawn in Black Bean Sauce which he thoroughly enjoyed. We had egg fried rice and noodles along side. I asked for a small banana fritter to finish which was lovely and not too much after the other food. With a couple of soft drinks and a couple of large glasses of wine the total was £27 with the 50% Eat Out to Help Out discount. Thank you very much New Chinese Kitchen we will continue to support you!

Food isn't bad, for £15 you can have as much as you want, rather than have a bit of everything on the starters I would just take the satay and salt pepper chicken.Duck wasn't the best.Can see its cooked fresh but 2.5 hours for a Chinese is very very slow.Staff miserable, £1.60 for a Costco water, £3.20 for a pint of coke....Chikden is £7.50,my son is 2,only wanted chips, still had to pay.

We have eaten at the Chinese Kitchen on many occasions and never had a bad meal. We recently went and got 50% of courtesy of the chancellor which was nice. This will enable us to go again this month.We had the all you can eat Buffett and enjoyed all the courses. The staff are nice and friendly and nothing too much trouble.Would recommend to others.

We arrived at 8pm and we're still waiting for our mains at 10pm. Every course we ordered we were asked "but you've had it," which we hadn't. To top it off they gave us the wrong bill (£25 extra on top of ours). They said the problem was because they were so busy, well don't overbook then.

So this evening we went to New Chinese Kitchen for the first time. Sanitizer is provided, tables are well spaced and the lady bringing out the food wears a mask. They have an “all you can eat” menu for £15.50 per head. Basically you can order anything you want from the menu as long as you eat what you order! We started with Hot and Sour soup which came with prawn crackers. To follow this we had prawn toast, salt and pepper chicken, bbq spare ribs, seaweed and spring rolls. I asked for a small portion as we are not big eaters and I knew we could ask for more if we wanted it. Everything was great, perfectly cooked and really tasty. The ribs were meaty and the salt and pepper chicken divine! This was followed by crispy duck well you have to don’t you? In fact it was that good that we had a second Our mains were chicken in black pepper sauce and king prawn in black bean sauce. Both were really good, perfectly cooked, tasty and not to much salt. I would certainly recommend the New Chinese Kitchen to anyone and we will certainly be back!

Always like the Chinese kitchen

Recommended by a friend we decided to give it a go. We arrived just before 5PM without a reservation, the door was open but it was empty and all of the lights were off. When they realised we were there they turned the lights on and seated us. It was very cold when we first sat down but it soon warmed up. Our table was right by the door so every time someone came in we were hit by the wind. The service was great and attentive, the waiting time was minimal and we had no real issues. The BBQ ribs were very tough but everything else was perfect. Anyone 9 or over pays adult price at £15.50 per head for the buffet so 2 adults and 3 kids paying full whack plus 2 soft drinks each came to £105 which is a lot more than we'd like to spend on a family meal which would probably mean we won't return. We knew what we were spending when we sat down and stayed anyway so that's on us, but we still probably won't return.

My son and I went there this week. Because he is a vegetarian, we chose the Vegetarian Meal for Two. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was piping hot and the service was attentive and speedy. I will certainly go there again.

My partner and I went for a birthday meal but place is freezing cold and shabby. Whole place looks in need of redecoration. I requested chicken foo yung but it was undercooked (raw egg). By this point didn't see the point of sending good back to kitchen and just left it untouched. Definitely won't be visiting ever again.

A group of 8 was welcomed and looked after with a 5 star service. Food is wonderful, so tasty and fresh. Thank you. Will see you soon and will be recommending to family and friends.

Visited here for my birthday and was pleasantly surprised how good it was.. All you can eat, but like Ying King down the road it is all cooked fresh and brought out to your table.. Very enjoyable and will return for sure.

We went for a New years Day meal. 4 adults and 2 children (8 and 11). Very good value for money, the food is prepared and bought to your table rather than help yourself buffet style. Huge portions and served really hot. The only criticism I have is that it was very cold inside the restaurant. Will definitely be going again and would highly recommend going.

Birthday meal for my Husband, just the two of us, I had my coat around my shoulders I was so cold, I could not enjoy the food.. it was made fresh to order, but went cold quick... need to buy some radiators and heat the place up..

A different kind of buffet, pick from a menu and get it cooked fresh, any amount of soups, starters, pancake duck, mains and desserts. I had duck pancakes and ribs for starters and my partner the soup and a selection of vegetarian starters. He went on and on about how nice the mushrooms on a skewer were. My highlight were the 2 mains, the vegetarian beancurd in oyster sauce was just superb, nothing I've had elsewhere before. I was just too full for anything else but lovely to see other people polish off all 5 courses with full starters.

Superb all you can eat style meal, cooked fresh to order at a good price point for Friday night. We could have ordered starters, mains and deserts as many times as we wanted. I went for ribs and duck pancakes to start and two mains, a king prawn and a vegetarian beancurd dish. Both were very enjoyable but the beancurd was just excellent. Good choice for vegetarians. My partner thought the mushroom in ok sauce starter and chilli chicken main was the highlight of his orders. Well done New Chinese Kitchen for packing in this place, was warm with so many people.
