First visit to Thorpeys.
Let’s just say it’s traditional.
Ultimately it’s all about the food & it definitely deliveries on that front. Generous portions & well cooked. Peas tasted particularly good, reminded me of my nans mushy peas…
All in all, good job!
Lovely breakfast and a decent price. Took around 45 minutes for it too arrive and tables who ordered after us got their meals first. Think they took longer with eggs on toast? Staff very nice.

Tasty, loaded, and full of flavour. The pizza with fries and sauces hits the spot for comfort food lovers. Great variety on the menu, from kebabs to curries. Affordable, filling, and perfect for a quick takeaway fix.
Overpriced ridiculously!
Bought a portion of large fish &chips but the fish looked so small I have never seen such a small sized portion of fish .As I won’t be going again definitely paying £9.50 for fish & chips which is ridiculous.
It took about 30 minutes for the food to arrive but when it did it was delicious. The staff were friendly. There is free WiFi. Dogs are welcome both inside and outside the venue.
Came here with my sister for lunch. I had Eggs Benedict, which was really good, Would have been excellent if the eggs had been runny but the Hollandaise Sauce was delicious. Points are lost because of dirty tables, floor and cutlery and perhaps some of the staff in the kitchen could come out and remedy this issue which I see has been mentioned in other reviews, A shame because there is so much potential here - just needs someone to guide the staff a bit perhaps to make the dining experience better.
Best fish and chips we have had for ages, freshly cooked as you wait, fish so fresh I’m sure it swam straight to the plate. The fryer man is a really nice friendly person, willing to engage in conversation if customer wants. Relaxing place for lunch no loud music belting outside to spoil your time there.
£10 for a glass of red wine ?!? Really !?!?!
Good grief if I’d known that before hand I would have gone somewhere else
My partner had a pint which was £5
How can you charge such expensive prices for a glass of wine ?
very friendly service, served with a big smile and cheery staff. the coffee was amazing i had difficulty deciding what to have and the server helped me decide. and i was impressed.
popped in for something nice - I was freezing cold so thought ummm a hot pasty type thing - I don't use Greggs often though have been here before - when driving through -
very disappointing today - the presentation first of all of the server - their hair was so untidy and everywhere, would expect it to be tied back tidy when serving food. I thought there would be lots of choice available and HOT given it was early lunch but alas no!!!
nothing was hot, just tepid and server didn't seem bothered, I asked if there was a micro wave to heat them but no. - what a disappointment -
I brought a cold sandwich from the garage side -
never again!
