Bit pricey but expected as it is at a train station, very clean, good choice of both drinks and snacks and good customer service 👍

In a world where the aroma of roasted beans dances merrily in the air, I found myself in the quaint abode of pumpkin cafe preston a sanctuary for weary travelers seeking solace in a cup. The staff orchestrated a symphony of service with unparalleled grace and warmth, turning mundane moments into delightful escapades. The elixir they served, a potion of perfection, whispered sweet promises to my weary soul, invigorating me with each sip. My time at pumpkin was not just a pause in a journey but a delightful detour into a realm of comfort and joy. Five stars, without a doubt, for an experience that transcended mere coffee and embraced the essence of hospitality and charm.

Visited this coffee shop whilst waiting on a train and when I asked for a coffee I wasn’t asked what size and when coffee arrived was just passed to me without any conversation! This is probably because the chap behind the counter was two busy on his phone and speaking to his colleague

Whilst waiting for our train to arrive this morning, I decided to quickly pop into the Pumpkin Cafe at Carlisle Railway Station for a couple of croissants and drinks (Breakfast). Very friendly lovely member of staff served me,( Tracey) enquired about my impending journey etc, she was so cheerful and accommodating, happy in her work, it was a pleasure to go in and be served by such staff. The cafe itself I noticed was very clean and well stocked, will definitely return again when I next travel by train.

Changing trains from Lancaster to Liverpool at Preston I had just enough time to grab a coca cola and a bag of crisps at this Pumpkin Cafe. The cafe itself is rather cool looking, interior is like a sort of shelter,it's functional rather than aesthetically pleasing on the eye, that's what I most enjoyed about this cafe which is most certainly very popular ,service was pleasant and quick ,couldn't complain about anything about my visit here,it's most certainly worth seeking out if your in Preston Railway Station.

Myself and my husband visited this place before we set off fpr the Manchester markets on my birthday, 22nd November. What a dissapointment to the start of the day. The advert clearly states an offer of a bacon barm with yes WITH a coffee at an offer of £1.75. It says ONLY from £1.75 WITH ANY hot drink. But no I got charged £1.75 PLUS the full price of a coffee ANY HOT DRINK. As well as an additional coffe to a total of £7.00 something. When I pointed this out to the male worker he shrud his shoulders and told me " no its £1.75 for just the bacon barm"????? What a total method of misleading and lieing to the customers. I woild love to get a reply.

I had a few minutes to change platforms and grab some lunch. A BLT (£3.99), packet of crisps (£1.20) and diet coke (£1.99) were all available. I had to go to the neighbouring café later on that day and, oddly, the diet coke was more expensive there!

I always love popping in this cafe when I get the train for my usual luxury hot chocolate and it’s made differently everytime, sometimes just cream and marshmallows, other times cream, marshmallows and chocolate sauce. But my favourite visit was when the lovely lady gave me cream, marshmallows, chocolate sauce, Oreo pieces and then topped with caramel sauce, I’m yet to find her again! I always find there is a long wait for drinks as there’s only one person behind the counter, so while I waited for my drink to be made today, there was this older lady only wanting to buy a packet of crisps but as the guy was busy making my drink she ended up leaving them and rushing off for her train. However for quicker service for things like crisps and chocolate I would visit the shop that’s in the middle of the station for faster service. I will continue to visit for my hot chocolate every train journey I make

I called for a soya cappuccino on a cold station platform, something I am not in the habit of doing, and was greeted by the pleasantest smiling young man. Deciding I was getting hungry, I picked up a very large slice of dry looking fruit cake. I just caught the train and sat to eat my snack, the cake was not dry, but very good and tasted fresh, but the coffee was the best I have had for a while. Being a fan of the big coffee names I was extremely surprised. Definitely worth a visit, the service was the best as was the coffee and cake.l wanted to five star the service, food and value but the options didn’t work.

Bought a takeaway glass of wine as our train to Blackpool was approaching the platform. Paid contactless , boarded train and sat down. Suddenly the woman who had served us started waving at us and summonsed us to the open door, told us the contactless payment had not gone through, and it was a recurring problem with their machine and we must pay cash. I only had a £5 note but she wanted the exact money as train was due to depart. My daughter managed to get £3.50 in coins and we handed it over. The train doors closed and luckily we did not get our hands and arms caught in them as I I had to get my fiver back. On checking my on line banking today, I saw the original payment has been debited accordingly. We have been charged just under £7 for a glass of wine and been ripped off. I will be objecting to the firm being suitable to hold an operating licence at a main line railway station.

Absolutely shocking lack of service from Marylyn in Prestons pumpkin on platform 2 .... huge q and marylyn was counting stock ( right next to the till point !) I asked if she could help clear the q as the young lad was struggling making coffees and was told everyone was getting trains and she was busy counting !!!!! I ended up having to leave my £7 worth of goods as my train pulled up an I had to get on it ! ( and the folk behind me too !) Way to loose business !! I am a manager in a customer driven environment and know how difficult it can be , but just a little tip for marylyn ... no point counting stock if you are so rude there is no one left to buy it !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I go in intermittently. The staff I have encountered are always polite. It does irritate a little when they say "stay in or take away" as the cafe is usually full of people waiting for a train who haven't bought anything. Nothing wrong with the coffee.

Lady called Helen behind the counter was reluctant when I asked for less milk she did offer to replace a new one but with a bad attitude. (Clearly hates her job) I had to pour the water out as it was too full and went to tell her politely to fill the cups less as there was a boil of tea that had been emptied by other customers. I was trying to give her feedback and she was very rude and didn't take any of it on board. I shall not be returning.

It's a train station coffee shop. You know exactly what you get. However, the company has made an effort, you can always get something decent to eat or drink for your trip, and its 50p cheaper than Starbucks for a large latte

Called in here on a cold day for a warming cappuccino. It was freshly made to my requirements and it did the job while I was waiting for a train. Useful little place that I would go to again.

Called into Cafe Nero around 12.30 for a drink and a sit down after walking round town in the cold. I’ve never been in before. The service was very slow at the counter despite being no queue. There were no free tables to sit downstairs apart from 1. The room was busy with young men coming and going without buying drinks or food. They appeared to be sitting indoors out of the cold in between doing food deliveries on their bikes. The coffee was nice but think for a relaxing non working type of environment we will go somewhere else for a drink in future.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I just want to give a massive shoutout to Rachel at Costa Coffee in St George’s Shopping Centre. She is always smiling and has a positive attitude that brightens my day every time I visit. It’s rare to find someone who consistently delivers such excellent service with a smile. Thank you 😊
